We say we are the heroes, and some try to actually stay true to that.
They who have the bravery to be themselves
but the massive amount of crime, hate, using, and abuse snuffs out their light
Those who claim to be "brave, cool, or popular" mostly are not
Ask any American what animal they think symbolizes America and most will say "an eagle"
I say that a vulture is much or suiting
For like the vulture we appear savage, and grim.
We feed off of other countries like they are dying animals
I have even witnessed a grim plan put into motion
as a family member was dying, the daughter and her boyfriend manipulate the sick man
trying to drain him of all of his assets when he finally signs off of this life
It sickened me
I was among vultures as they circle above a dying deer
I am not and refuse to be one of them
but I'm no brave majestic eagle I'm a sparrow
small, dull and unimportant to the vultures that surround me but I remained kind
