Blake's Path To Paradise:Chapter 1 The CityIt was snowing everywhere,it was so cold you could barely move, everything was all white, except for a little brown ball of fur, this ball of fur moved, and as it stood,it's red eyes were glaring into the white snow filled distance."Where the hell am I?"said the thing. This thing was known for a wolf. Now people thought wolves were extinct...but they fool people by changing to their human forms. And this particular wolf's name was Blake.Blake had been traveling to a place he had heard of,but no one has ever made it here except for the Lords. This place was very special to wolves, this place was called Paradise."It's so full of snow here...nothing is alive here,I just hope I'm not the last wolf left in this world."Blake looked into the silvery sky above him,and howled loudly, then he started on his way to the smell of fire coming from a city."I smell fire, there is probably a city or town nearby."Blake started running faster, and it seemed like his forelegs were flying over theMore Like This

Rant about thingsHello guys, it's been a while and I have a lot of things piled up to rant about. If you are interested about my recent thoughts on things such as commissions, self-esteem, people etc. read ahead.More Like This
Let's start off with a question - have you ever remembered about the stuff you did as a younger person and suddenly felt so embarrassed, that you wished to dig a hole 20 feet deep and hide, hoping no one would ever remember it. Recently I felt like that a lot, remembering how I used to undervalue myself and my time to the point of being ridiculous.
When I was 20 (lol, guys, I'm from the old part of DA, being 24 and stuff), I sold art that took me 20 hours to make for 2 USD, well that's around the price I was working around. When I got older, like 21, I sold art that took me 2 hours for 1 USD. And I felt rich after selling 20 of them and getting 20 USD. Like - woo hoo, I'm rich! Then, a year later I sold artwork that took me 5 hours for 15 USD, which felt more comfortable. Then I became 23, too
Advice for artists"I'll never be as good as X artist is"More Like This
"I wish I was more popular. What should I draw to get more popular?"
"I've only ever drawn X, and if I ever draw anything else, no one cares"
"It doesn't matter if I draw, because nobody watches me anyway"
"I never get faves or comments. Nobody likes my art"
"Why bother, when I get nothing like X popular artist does?"
I'm sure everyone has seen and most likely said something like this, more often than not, to friends privately or publicly complaining on blogs, journals, other artist's streams... I see these kinds of comments all the time everywhere.
And quite honestly, it bothers me. It bothers me to no end. So I'm going to try and tell you why it bothers me, and how can I help you to help yourself be a better artist, be more creative, liked, and overall just happier.
The problem is, you're looking outside, not in. You're not supposed to be a copy or just like any of the amazing artists you adore. Nobody cares for an exact copy of som

“Juno, you awake?” Juno stirred and blinked, not wanting to open her eyes. It felt like it had been days since she had slept. Had it all been a dream? Just one wild dream about her growing wings and flying away with a boy she barely knew?
“I’m up…” she whispered.
“Good, c’mon…the sun is coming up.” Juno opened her eyes fully and saw the familiar form of Emmett standing before her. So it wasn’t a dream after all. Juno wasn’t sure if this made her happy or sad. Either way, it was what it was. She remembered flying for a few hours with Emmett before landing in a cave somewhere in the mountains to rest for the evening, but other than that, everything else was a blur.
“Why are we getting up so early?” Juno asked.
“I figured that it might be best to do our flying before the middle of the day.” Emmett said.
“Why? Because it’d be too hot?” Juno joked.
“No, because everyone el

**Warning: Do Not read if you wish to be in blissful ignorance of me and my opinions, haha!!!!!
-I am somewhat naive-
I don't like this about myself. I am not sure if I have always been this way or not, but I would think it's true that I have been like this most of my life. I am often the last to understand jokes (if I get them at all), I've been made fun of a lot for my naivety, and I don't particularly like being made fun of for it.
The only thing that I can promise is that I try to not be naive as much as possible. So, while I am aware of my naivety, it doesn't mean I will fall for everything
And no, don't even try it.
I am a very, very, very blunt and brutally honest person. Many people think I am intentionally being rude in a lot of instances, but mostly, it's because I don't know that
Writing Effective DialogueWe've all struggled through figuring out how to write dialogue that not only gets the information out there, but also helps build characters or advance the plot. There are tons of books and blogs out there on the topic, too. But just reading about it doesn't do much good if we're not ready to try it out. Give it a go and see what other people think. But let's start with the basics.More Like This
What is Effective Dialogue?
Dialogue that's written well will reveal character traits, add to the tension and suspense, helps cut down on text walls of description and of course, advances your plot. One of the most important things to keep in mind when you're writing dialogue is that in fiction, your reader doesn't want to read all the mundane things we say on a regular basis. So if it's not moving the plot or adding to your character's personality, you should think about cutting it completely.
What do I mean by reveals character traits?

Anime Review: Attack on Titan
Hello and welcome to yet another Deep Cliff, where I listen to your questions and bring you in depth answers. So today I’m doing an anime review, and it’s on the anime Attack on Titan. Now many of you know of this anime if you haven’t watched it already. It’s everywhere and receiving A LOT of praise for its story, art, music, and characters. After watching some of it myself, I have to agree that there is certainly a lot good to this anime. I LOVE the art, which is phenomenally good, and need I say that the opening theme song is kick ass? I think the characters are pretty well defined and I will gladly say that Attack on Titan definitely deserves its reputation as a hit anime…but with that said, I do have some problems with the anime.
Now let me be very clear when I say that I do not hate this anime. I actually do think it’s good. But even the best movies and tv shows are not devoid of flaws, and there are several
Timing fucking matters.Time does a lot of things, it makes you older, it gets you to places, it never stops going forward. However you control when and how you use it!More Like This
Everyone makes choices on a daily bases, most of them are actually done with your auto-pilot function out of habit.
Most people usually sit in the same spot on the couch, chooses what to wear based on previously made combinations and so on, unless they consciously become aware of their action and might decide it's time for a change. It can be a small thing that makes people aware of their options
You can count that pretty much every person out there works like this and YOU often depend on THEIR choices.
My point of this journal is saying: Use this in your advantage!
Time can be compared to a diet. Eating to much bad stuff will make you unhealthy and feel bad, while eating healthy things will keep you going and feel good. So time can either make you feel stuck in one place, maybe even going backwards (ageing already does that for you) or
Don't Like, Don't LookSometimes over the course of our deviantArt experience, we come across people whose art or comments we don't really want to see. We may have had a personal falling out with them, they may engage in questionably ethical behavior in our community, or we may even just irrationally dislike them. Whatever the case, it can be irritating to stumble across their art or awkward trying to ignore their comments. However, blocking them doesn't really help since it just prevents communication between the two parties. You can still see their deviations and comments like in the pictures below:More Like This

4 Tips for When You Commission Others[a needed reminder]More Like This
I was just thinking of this for no real reason earlier and thought I'd share because I've come into contact with all four of these things with the many commissions I've drawn. x'D
And who knows, most of this is common sense but perhaps some of you have never thought of things this way before. ;D;
I just know that most people drawing commissions for you will definitely appreciate it or enjoy drawing your commission more if you do these things.
o1. Be CLEAR and DIRECT with what you want drawn.
-Make the artist feel like they are drawing a character instead of just some item. You don't have to type out their life story, but it's always nice to have a small bit of information about the character to reference to so that a bit of personality or inspiration for posing/expression can be represented.
-So, something like "These two characters. She is really shy and modest and he is really apathetic." is a lot more helpful than "I want these t
Don't give up on traditional toolsOnce I had a friend, she was an amazing digital artist. EvenMore Like This
her digital sketches very absolutely stunning but one thing
I wondered... Is she able to create such awesome drawings
with a pen...? I wished once that I'd be able to see some
pictures drawn by her hand traditionally.
After that, I kept asking her about doing a traditional art
for me, however, she always refused that. She told me that
the traditional tools do not have a CTRL+Z and that she doesn't
want to re-draw the artwork over and over again because
of a mistake and the key sentence was "I suck at it."
The point is, that I absolutely are able to see all the restrictions.
If you are not using oil colors, you're not able to re-paint your
artwork over and over again. But isn't the goal to practice to
get better? Digital artwork is enchanting but for me it just
does not top the feeling, when you hold you own and the
ONLY ORIGINAL in your hands.
Of course that there's no "UNDO" button if you make mistakes,
