fox-orian on FacebookMore Like This
HEY everyone, still sorry for the lack of meaningful updates. (I promise I've been busy!! XD)
HOWEVER, recently I've realized that I'm starting to get a LOT of friend requests on my personal Facebook account from people I have no idea who they are! XD -- then I realized "Oh yeah maybe it's because I don't have a page for myself as an artist?"
SO, I finally made a Facebook page for myself as fox-orian!
FIND IT HERE: https://www.facebook.com/orianart
(or click on the image above)
I JUST made it, so there's not much there at the moment, but I plan on using my this for random status updates (personal and work related,) and to better interact with you guys! (To be honest, I find a lot of random/cool crap that I want to share with everyone, but I feel like it'd get too annoying to make journal/blog posts about it. So facebook is a good alternative!)
And just so you know,
Artist Alley Comics! ... and Dollz on FB!Hey! Here's a new group of guys, myself included, putting out some really cool digital comics:More Like This
... as reported here on BleedingCool:
Heh, those stories get buried really fast, I had to dig down a page or two. Go and check out the books, there are several free downloads to try! It's going to be a little different offering pdf downloads that you can actually keep forever and not have to worry about disappearing into thin air one day. I think it's a great idea!
Thanks for all the nice responses to the Dollz! I'll keep you updated here. in the meantime, go check out and maybe "like" the new facebook page here:
I'll probably be posting a lot of conceptual art and sketches there eventually. Deviant Art will always be my "artistic" home and I'll continue to post the more finished pieces I do here, but some of the really sketchy, throw-away stuff that is specifi
What do you think?I am thinking about making a little build a character comic/book type thingy. Its basically like my tip sheet but it will be in comic/book format. I have already split it into four categories, facial features, hair styles, clothes and body types. Basically its a little reference guide, where you can mix and match features to create your own characters, nothing too heavy or technical. I will also be posting the pages online for free since I don't like the idea of any of my tip sheet/references not being accessible.More Like This

I also want to get into graphic design/pictorial design so designing stuff like this is always good practice too! ^u^ and great for portfolios!
EDITORS... WHY, WHY, WHY BE ONE? Part TwoI hadn’t planned doing a second part to my journal on Editors but in light of what you may have read recently I thought I’d mention it. Besides, some of you had asked for an idea about the darker side of the industry.More Like This
There are many things an editor must be good at; spelling, grammar, art direction, but by far the most important is diplomacy.
Every good editor is also a good diplomat. If every good editor moved into politics I’m sure most of the world’s problems would just disappear.
Recently a well-known comic creator resigned from a series of titles he was working on, but instead of walking away gracefully he dropped every bomb he could and then dropped a nuke. The biggest target of his ire was his editor. He thanked the publisher for the opportunity to work together and hoped they could again in the future but he public blasted the company and his editor, then followed up by saying many others felt like he did.
The Editor did not r

commission, lineart + coloring as always, enjoy
As you can see, lately I started using a more painting like style which I want to improve in the future, it means I have to learn everything again from the basics. I don't mind it I just want my watchers to know, it will take a while to find my own way.
Otherwise I wanna keep my original cell shading style too, I'm working on a personal project again just for fun, because I finally realized why I need this eye candy stuff in my life haha, so the point is I will try both and we will see soon where are my limits. But it's not like I believe in limits.
Smaller dA thumbnail scriptWant to get rid of the absolutely horrendous recent dA update of ugly, massive, unorganized, unprofessional thumbnails that I turned off beta to escape from but IT SOMEHOW STILL FOUND ME???More Like This
Just install this amazing new browser script written by rotane, which not only shrinks the thumbnails back to a reasonable size, but also gets rid of the awkward light-background problem for wide deviations.
THANKS rotane!!!! Please +fave and spread it around if you like it!

Feel the ForceOr YODA's Lessons on Street Photography.More Like This
Yeah, well, blame it on the fact that my kids forced me to watch a marathon of Star Wars episodes.
1) PATIENCE YOU MUST HAVE, my young Padawan
"Street photography requires patience. More often than not I come home with nothing, but it’s the times that I do come home with a photo that will be with me forever, that makes it so worthwhile. (...) Street photography is about searching, finding and reacting…" – Jesse Marlow
"Buy a good pair of comfortable shoes, have a camera around your neck at all times, keep your elbows in, be patient, optimistic and don’t forget to smile." – Matt Stuart
“I only know how to approach a place by walking. For what does a street photographer do but walk and watch and wait and talk, and then watch and wait some more, trying to remain confident that the une
