A quickie. I planned on using these two models in Childproof and realized that they were going to be relegated to the background. So I decided to feature them in their own precursor pic, front and center.

Shepard by Nikout / GoOr
Liara by Urgarulga / Deus ex Nihilo / LordAardvark / GoOr
A race of synthetic artificial intelligences who act on their own free will and work to further the advancement of technology and their kind. They do not feel pain, fear, insecurity or hunger. They do not worship any god, take sides, or let any morals or emotions get in the way of their reasoning. They treat every being as equals and never wage war unless an outsider threatens their existence. They cannot be bought off, bullied, or truly “killed”. Not to mention, they can block any hacking attempt through any operating system and can communicate with each other at the speed of light.
So come election day, if you wish for real change, vote Geth.
4 hours or so in Photoshop. Based on the default Female Shepard from Mass Effect 3 with N7 armor.
My canon Shepard is an Infiltrator Femshep that I've played since Mass Effect 1! Anyway, I've been meaning to do some more Mass Effect artwork since I did Jack 2 years ago. Who would you like me to do next? I'm thinking maybe Liara... hmm.
We all know the Scene in the Destroy End of ME3 where you can see, that Shepard is alive. But bad Bioware did nothing more.
I want my Happy End, and here is the Plot: A Team searched the ruins of the Citadel, to find Survivers. The Normandy Crew joined after leaving the green Planet. Liara feels, that in the rubble are something. She was melted with Shepard, their Minds were a Unity.
After many Days Shepard was still alive and Liara found her great Love. Everybody would say, do a cardiac massage and mouth-to-nose insufflation. But the beautiful Asari only kissed the dry Lips of her Love... and she opened the eyes
This Art is for my best Friend I hope this lil' Art can cheer you up a bit. Smile my Friend
Wish you the best.

Man what a game!! You gotta love Bioware for what they done. My fan art number two. I used some photo textures at the back. The main idea was to make it look like some kind of promo art. There was no problem with the face and clothes since there are some references to be found on the net.
Personal art of Mass Effect featuring Miranda Lawson
The reason wihich led me to do more Mass Effect work was simple - I wanted to make one of the best fan art (which would also work as promo or poster art) to be had. Inspiration came from an outstanding Sunshine OST created by John Murphy, and Underworld, which I recommend listening to in order to feel the right vibe/atmoshphere. [link]
No photo tracing, overpainting or 3d models were used here. However, I used some references (that also includes ME2 screenshots), and textures. I don't even know the exact earth hours spend on this piece, but I can assure it was alot - I really wanted to do the justice to the character. The original size is A4 with 300dpi. This is the fan and"skills-showing" portfolio art, so no copyright infringement was intended.
Personal art of Mass Effect. The second picture featuring Shepard
The very goal behind this was to depict Shepard as a leader. To capture him in a moment of decision (so important for ME games) or inside struggle with the consequences of his actions. The empty gaze and dark gloomy room are to emphasize the emotional aspect of it. The blood and wounds are to show that he has been through battles and skirmishes (2nd important thing in ME games). All in all, the whole piece is less effective in terms of action, but leaves the viewer with something to ponder on.
Just like in the previous arts this was made to look like an offical artwork (just think of of as if it was an actual cover for the game box, artbook or poster. You can even check and see that this image would fit perfectly for Mass Effect section on BioWare site ).
No photo tracing, overpainting or 3d models were used here. I only went for a reference for hands position (not for the details), and ME2 screenshots. Lots of details stayed in the dark while others were heavily exposed, this is because I wanted to keep it in high contrast and "atmoshperic". Have to say that I had a lot of fun creating this picture, and I learnt alot, especially with lighting the skin which is hit by an artificial light. The original size is A4 with 300dpi. This is the fan and"skills-showing" portfolio art, so no copyright infringement was intended.
Personal art of Mass Effect. The third picture featuring Garrus
I slighty played around with the design and changed shoulder gauntlet. Also the whole armor and sniper rifle were given more worn out (and believable) look. I enjoyed painting his armor and gun ... every single scratch of them. Originally the piece was supposed to be more action oriented but the concept changed and ultimately Garrus is presented in a marksman position.
No photo tracing, overpainting or 3d models were used here. Only ME2 screenshots were used as references for Garrus' gun, head etc.). The original size is A4 with 300dpi. This is the fan and"skills-showing" portfolio art, so no copyright infringement was intended.
Personal art of Mass Effect. The ninth picture featuring Zaeed Massani
Originally I wanted to set him in a night club (a slaughter house) but eventually went with a dusty and sultry setting. Zaeed's armor is covered with sand/dirt and a bit of rust (a little homage to that shittty old rifle - Jessie). Even though his original design is perfect I could not resist and made a few changes in his gauntlet (nothing too drastic though). I love his voice, stories. Love him for being so damn nostalgic make my wish he was my relative - I shit you not.
No photo tracing or 3D models were used here. Only some small elements of the background were overpainted. I also used the ME2 screenshots as references for Zaeed's face and bunch of photo textures. The armor lighting was inspired by the Iron Man render I once saw. The original size is A4 with 300dpi. This is the fan and"skills-showing" portfolio art, so no copyright infringement was intended.
Well... I love Disney and I love Dragon Age: Origins so I decided to do this fanart and I drawn Alistair in Disney style. I didn't know if that's a good idea but this is a great exercise for me because I'm working at animation in Disney style to my school project. I hope that you like it. And sorry for my english.
"Yes, but she seems more... "Ooh, pretty colors!" than "Muahaha! I am Princess Stabbity! Stab, kill, kill!"
Hey hey, it's Alistair from Dragon Age: Origins in the flesh?!?!! Or shall I say King Alistair? So I've been really addicted to the game series for some time now, playing Dragon Age II for the third time! Of course I had to do a portrait of Alistair, everybody loves him!
Unfortunately, Alistair doesn't have a high detailed render CG character model of him, unlike Hawke. So one of the things I wanted to do here was to sort of create a REALISTIC Alistair, something like, what he looks like if he was a real person. That was the goal basically. However, like I said, there was no CG render character model for me to follow, only his in-game model. I decided to make do, and I thought it'll be kinda fun and a new challenge for me to create a realistic version of Alistair from his in-game model. I searched and searched, and finally found a great screenshot of a close-up of Alistair's face to use. And he was looking at the camera, which was a bonus.
Face: For his face, I used his Origins look, his DA2 look made him look really different, and everyone knows Alistair from Origins. I really exaggerated the tones and shadows here, to really make him seem more realistic. The lighting source was the campfire, which shined light mostly in the middle of his face, so I darkened the sides of his face much more to give it more depth. I have actually thought of adding freckles and moles and what not like Hawke, but I decided against it, as some people might go "What the hell is that dot on his face?" I tried to make his left eye a tad wider, so it looks like Alistair's giving that "famous" inquisitive look with his eyebrow raised.
Hair: I really overhauled his hair. You can tell from his in-game model, that his hair was just there, it didn't seem like it was hanging realistically. One of the things I noticed was the roots. There was none, his hair was met with a continuously line where it meets his face in the game. So I made sure to add the roots of his hair. I used about 4-5 different other references of blond male hair to help me create Alistair's hair while keeping the entire bulk shape of it like Alistair's. The most alike ones I found was of Jensen Ackles & Zac Efron. I used Jensen's hair to recreate the sides of Alistair's, to see how the light reflects of blond hair. Zac's hair was used mostly for the middle bulk of Alistair's hair, tones and texture.
Stubble: For his stubble, I also had to find other references to use as a guide. I used Bradley Cooper's stubble to make Alistair's stubble seem more realistic. I had to see how a short stubble looks like and how it also catches light. I mainly used Bradley to see how short stubble hair look like, but the shape of it was created from scratch. I combined Alistair's stubble.. there was a difference with his Origins and DA2 style. Origins was more centered in his chin, with a squarish/V-shape. While DA2 was more all around his chin. I combined both, using DA2's stubble all around, but I made the middle much darker to relate to Origins, after all, that's his most well-known look.
Armor/Sword: I curse the person who took the screenshot while Alistair was equipped with such hard and complicated to draw armor & sword....... (Hah, I'm just kidding, thanks to the person who took the screenshot). Kidding aside, it was really hard to draw his sword. His armor was okay, I took my time with it, finished up a little bit, chilled out for 10mins, rinse and repeat (horrible habit). His sword was definitely a nightmare. Took me one hour just to draw that damn handle.
Overall, it was fun to draw Alistair. Though my feelings was quite mixed about it throughout the process as this portrait was quite "open ended". Really love it now, can put it up along with my portrait of Hawke!! There could potentially be more Dragon Age fanart coming soon. I have an urge to draw Anders (DA2 look), and maybe Isebela (she has a CG model ..yay!), but we'll see.
"Yes, fun. Tricking Morrigan... oh, who am I kidding? That does sound fun. I'm a bad man."
