Nick tripped over someone or something small in size. He looked behind himself. A small, fluffy, doll was standing there, silent.
"So sorry ma'am I did not mean to trip over you. I wasn't paying attention."Nick said kindly.
The doll opened the zipper to her mouth.
"It's perfectly fine, sir. Say, that's a pretty gem on your sword there. Where's it from?" She asked.
Nick paused. "An old friend," He said softly.
The doll nodded.
"I'm Dolly by the way. It seems this friend was very important. Lover perhaps?"
Nick nodded his head. Ear laying flat.
"It was nice meeting you Dolly. You have a nice night." The male wolf said, walking back home.

Somewhere in the hospital, Winry had fought her way through her pain to give the both of them a son. Sure, meeting him without her was disheartening, but he wasn’t about to let this opportunity slip away from him. For a reason that he was aware of, but not completely accepting of, he felt like the baby was going to disappear, that he would just be gone if he waited to see him, if he hesitated.
