Little Max, Part 10Max wasted little time in escaping the daycare center and running back to the school. It was the middle of 4th period, so the halls were completely empty. He looked in Ms. Stork's classroom. It was empty; this was her free period. He got to her desk and opened the drawer with his jeans, but his jeans were gone.

"Looking for something, Maxwell," Ms. Stork stood behind him, her hands on her hips. Max opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him off. "I just took your jeans to the daycare center. I felt bad and was going to let you wear them."
"Oh, thank goodness," he said, "Thank you."
"But, apparently, you don't want to go to the daycare center," she replied coldly. "You must want to go to class, just as you are. 4th period is math, isn't it?" She grabbed his arm and pulled him out into the hallway.
"No, Ms. Stork! Please stop," Max begged as Ms. Stork opened another classroom door. This can't be happening!
All noise in the classroom stopped as Ms. Stork led Max to the front of Ms.
