A small tribute to an actor who died yesterday. Technically I think this is my best work... I'm very proud of the result. The orignal movie was a comedy but this poster looks more like something like "the legend of the seven golden vampires" :XD:

"Lower your quality standards. Once you've done that you
can go on forever."
Actual quote by Mike Scully (the man responsible for the Simpsons' sharkjumping)

Referring to the first 9 seasons worth. The 8th and 9th seasons you could tell were in decline, but they were still funny. Everything after that is pure crap.

Yes, I am one of those people who believes that The Simpsons went from being the best show on television to being the worst show on television in the past ten years.

also posted on my sketchblog: [link]

For today's post, I'm offering up a rare crossover betwen my day job and my blog.

In the past, I've mentioned a few times that I work for Bongo Comics, publishers of a variety of Simpsons and Futurama comic books and collections. Well, last Wednesday, this gem finally hit stores: [link]

This deluxe collected edition features both Simpsons/Futurama Crossovers, which were written by the very talented Ian Boothby, and pencilled by the equally talented James Lloyd. The hardcover book measures 7.5 x 11 inches (larger than standard comic dimensions), clocks in at 208 pages, and comes in a robust die-cut slipcase. It retails for $24.95, which is already a great value, but can be found for a significant discount from the usual online book-sellers. Please check the book out--it's very funny, smartly written, gorgeously illustrated, and (I say this as a fan, not an employee), it's truly one of my favorite Bongo stories of all time.

This new collection has some bonus materials, including some great preliminary sketches and character designs from James Lloyd's sketchbook, and a pin-up gallery featuring Alex Ross, Sergio Aragonés, Geof Darrow, Kyle Baker, Glenn Fabry, Tone Rodriguez, Peter Kuper, Ty Templeton, Bernie Wrightson, and more. Well, somehow, there's also a pin-up in there by a total unknown, AKA yours truly. If I may present today's post, my pin-up, titled, Cosmic Brouhaha. (Apologies for the watermark)

I've been at Bongo for well over a decade (basically my entire adult life), so this piece has a great deal of personal significance, as I feel like it represents my growth both on and off the job. This pin-up really gave me a chance to stretch my wings, and I think it's my most ambitious color piece to date. Stylistically, I chose to keep the characters relatively on-model, but in terms of the general crowded cross-overy energy of it, I did my best to channel George Pérez. Overall, I really had a blast with this!

so here is my new pic its a parody of the game boy game Donkey Kong (1994), [link] this is based from the box artwork, i liked very much this one.
This is my favorite game boy game 100% recommended because the gameplay is similar to Mario vs Donkey Kong (GBA), the levels and the music.
yes im aware about the king homer size and the conecction with the original homer and marge but you have to read the story i wrote.

Story:
After the events of KING HOMER, the giant ape and his wife had a little monkey son (that looks like Bart), they had wonderful life in the Ape’s Island. But the things changed when woman died by natural causes leaving alone the gorilla and his son.
Some years later a group of people came to the island, they were building a nuclear factory on a certain place of the island; King Homer didn’t know about that until the factory was finished. When he discovered the factory, he was going to destroy it, but in the attempt he accidentally fell on toxic waste. This made him an ape not so big. Then he was captured (again) with his son and sent to the Springfield Zoo by Mr. Burns and his workers.
When the monkey and his son awake, they immediately escaped from the zoo for back to their home, running and jumping around the city of Springfield.
Meanwhile Homer and Marge (the original) were walking around the city after seeing a movie at the cinema. While the monkey was escaping, he saw the woman that had resemblance to his dead wife, in that moment he kidnapped the woman and carried her off to a construction site.
Homer wouldn’t let the ape take his wife so easily, he followed the ape up to the highest point and made King Homer fell of the platforms by pulling out the rivets on a height of 100m. Finally homer rescued Marge. But King Homers stood up again, took Marge and escaped with her into the city…

that's all enjoy =D

p.s: this game is in the 3ds virtual console, i cant wait to get a 3ds and download it. =)

Movie: The Nightmare Before Christmas
Year: 1993
Company: Walt Disney
NW song: Scaretale

Sally is a lovely, loving, caring, though shy ragdoll who told Jack that Christmas and Halloween shouldn't be mixed. She is originally patched together by Doctor Finkelstein. Sally is a rag doll-type character, with detachable limbs stuffed with fall leaves. She often falls apart, requiring her to sew herself back together, and carries a set of sewing needles and thread for precisely that purpose. She was created by Doctor Finklestein, Halloween Town's resident mad scientist, as a companion. Their relationship is rather tense, as Finklestein insists on keeping Sally under lock and key, under the pretext of protecting her from the excitement of the outside world. However Sally is restless, and is intrigued by the wonders of the outside world.

Composition inspired by David Kawena

NOTE: She was not on my list, consider her as a...Halloween special or something.
