Hello DecemberHello December,
More Like This
We meet again,
In the time when your cold nights never seem to end,
Your presence more than a chill in the wind,
I will admit that around this time of the year,
You're my only friend,
The only being who cares about this creature of melancholy and endless thought,
As I lay in my warm bed with you as my guard,
Protecting me in the nights of long hours and prayers whispered to the Moonlight mother,
I missed you,
and I'm glad to have you back
The price of humanityWe call ourselves humanity
More Like This
Apparently we’re the superior race
But we destroy, we will kill, and then we’ll lie to your face.
We’ve stretched barbed wire across the land, hunted and bled the life from the sea
And who even cares? Only the people who are prepared
To fight every single case vehemently
We call ourselves humane, but really?!
The majority of us never think twice
When pain is inflicted on the life of another, to us it’s no sacrifice
We are people, and yes, we live, but we’re so detached to it all
It seems so unreal, and if it’s so wrong, then someone else will start rolling the ball
They say that for evil to prosper, good people must do nothing
And why should we? What’s in it for us?
We’re only humans aren’t we? We can’t do everything can we?
When we’ve done nothing right, chances are, we haven’t actively done too much wrong either
But I’ll tell you this, what you’ve done IS wrong
By doing noth
