Using the 3 rules of great photography...
1. have a camera with you to take the photo.
2. stop to take the photo
3. don't show anything that isn't great.
I add another rule. Know where the image is going and present it in its best way. Taking the image is the easy part. Presenting it in the proper place and in the best way is the real effort.
After I shoot the photo, usually on film for my best work, I then have to scan, adjust the color balance, saturation, contrast and correct what I can to return to the vision I saw, crop for best effect and then spot correct any imperfections I can. Then I get to cut a mat, dry mount on a backing board, cut a frame for any unusual size I have chosen. Then the tough part, getting the glass clean, so after it is finished, I do no
