Today we're going to the heart of the Seven Kingdoms - to the Iron Throne and Maegor's Holdfast, to the Great Sept of Baelor and the justice meted out there. Six square feet of tiny little buildings. This is King's Landing.
I never thought a TV show could make me feel the way I've felt after watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones, The Rains of Castamere. I even watched it a second time because I couldn't believe the events that took place at the Red Wedding. This is how I choose to envision the end of that episode with Tony Stark flying in saving the Starks from the evil clutches of Lord Frey. Nuff said. Hope you dig.
This was made from 700 pictures taken at Disneyland through out the years. The eldest ones date back to when I was little, then it jumps to 2006 when I celebrated my 18th birthday at DLP, then photos range from 2008 to 2011.
Thanks to suggestions I received, some changes in house mottoes. The house House gave me some trouble (haters) in other websites. About the Medicine symbol, I use the hermes symbol because of this: [link]
Graças a sugestões que recebi, algumas mudanças nos lemas das casas. A casa House me deu uns problemas pelo símbolo usado não ser o da medicina. Mas muita gente usa o simbolo de Hermes como símbolo da medicina, poxa... E veja: [link]
EDIT 03/07/13: This piece has been licensed by the BBC! Now available as an official Sherlock print in the BBC Shop, as well as from Big Chief Studios!
Painted this over Livestream in about 4 hours, you can view the full recording at my new Youtube channel. Thank you very much to all who stayed and watched! I have always loved all imagery of Sherlock Holmes playing the violin, I find it very striking and it's one of his most recognizable and interesting character traits. This piece is inspired by BBC's Sherlock (I cannot possibly recommend this show more!)
Time-lapsed process video can be watched here. Drawn and painted in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. Reference from here.
Available to buy as a phone case and other products here.
EDIT 10/09/13: I have provided this high-res wallpaper as a COURTESY to fellow Sherlock fans, and I expect my work to be treated with respect. Time and time again I have seen art thieves download this painting, PHOTOSHOP OUT MY SIGNATURE, and re-upload it to their own websites as a "free wallpaper," or, even worse, print it as a poster or on a phone case to sell on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, StoreEnvy, etc. It's absolutely ridiculous and disappointing. I'm leaving the wallpaper up because I know most don't do that, but I'm going to say this once again since it's apparently not clear: DO NOT REMOVE MY SIGNATURE FROM THIS ARTWORK FOR ANY REASON . If you see this painting on any of the above sites, please do me a favor and report it. If you see this painting on any products or websites without credit to me, I ask you not to buy it, and JUST REPORT IT. Thank you.
I did some time ago for fun. I turned the Hobbits cast as cats. Although it would've made more sense I guess if the dwarves were dogs and the elves were cats, but my watchers know that I love cats, and I did this when the 2nd Hobbit movie came out...or maybe later I can't remember. Once this semester is over I can finally focus on stuff that I want to do...for four weeks. The resolution in this one isn't all that great, so apologies for that. ><
Not all of the characters are in here...I think Gloin and a few others are missing, but I got lazy after. >3>
EDIT: Oh, friends? If you have a good group you think this could be a part of, please feel free to request I add it to the gallery. I seem to have very bad luck finding groups to post/join these days! Thank you! :3
I probably should've been working on part eleven of my comic, but... instead I drew this.
Felt like taking a stab at drawing our favourite skin-changer. Always figured that he wouldn't be just a bear. Or just a BIG bear, but rather something more... scary and yet intelligent. Consequently, I decided to introduce some simian traits into his body, referencing gorillas. It was really easy to make him too ape-like, and I actually had to reduce those features a lot.
Just a rough sketch of a scene that wasn't in the books- when they first bring Frodo and Sam back after Mt. Doom. Aragorn ends up carrying Frodo to the healing tent, and Legolas would most likely carry Sam.
Well here it is! I've colored this picture, because some people were interested how it would look in full color. I think maybe it looked better in black and white. I'm not a talent when it comes to painting, as you can see.
In some parts I don't like the colors I used, the bright green and yellow makes the Dead Marshes too...um...happy, IMO. Maybe I will paint it again.
Anyway feel free to critisize it! ^^
