I wanted to draw all the attention to the shell. It's colorful there and everything around it is somber, the ladybug too.. it's searching for some brighter days again. But for everyone there's an idea what the concept can be, this was just what I meant with it. :) Don't know if I did the right thing to make the ladybug black/white too. Let me know what you think. :)

Well, i'm not inspirated this days, but I started drawing and this came out. I've used some stock pictures for the backgrounds but I really don't know if they are in deviant art, I found them on my computer, so if you see them just tell me and I'll credit them.
I love doing things glow in colours

*Edit: I've found them! [link]

Was just messing around with some of my old pictures and I quite liked how this one turned out! ^^ Tell me what you think! Also about the message of the picture! :)

Can the rainbow be made by wind? Everyone knows the answer is no! But my brain has arrived to this scene. This is an abstract art.
If you like it, I'm glad. ;)

Not happy with this one. Really not happy. I'm posting it anyway because my watchers usually see something positive in my works even when I don't, but it just looks... flat. Despite the contrast and everything.

Been a while since my last S.F.B.M. / Gnarl abstract!
Following on with my conlang theme, this one is titled "discover[y]". I'm still working on the relationship between verbs and nouns, so this is a verb and also potentially a noun. :P
I changed the palette to something as unusual as possible for my usual chromatic style, which is largely made of blue (the chromatic opposite of orange). I've had a lot changing in my life in recent times, some of which has been destabilising at first, but it's slowly settling into something positive for a change. :)

This felt oddly regenerating to make, hence the title
I consider it a pretty good start of the new fractal year. It's a Barnsley, which is a type of fractal I love doing, and I'm happy with the colours even if there is no blue in it. I seriously didn't know I needed lime in my life until now.

Also, to travel a bit more on the winds of change (the good ones, that is), I'll be opening a Patreon soon. The page is already there, it just needs some polishing up and my Paypal data :) After that, I'll be able to take donations from my fans.

The Fundamentals will all be inspired by my own relationship, as an individual, with the key aspects of life. They will include a number of things I consider important on a very abstract level. (I'm pretty much an abstract person myself). There will be seven fractals in total in this saga, this one being the fifth.
The Examiner represents my relationship with others. It's the natural follow-up of The Overseer, number four in this series, which portrayed my relationship with surroundings. Other people are, obviously, part of my surroundings, and most of all part of my studies. I genuinely enjoy observing people and gathering information about those I come to know; I have a habit of looking up their profiles, websites and what have you, if I get the chance to, just out of curiosity. I know I'm the odd one out, but I can't help but find human variety extremely interesting. In a way, I could also say I examine them; those rare times I find others to have interests in common with my own, after all, have resulted in pleasant, meaningful conversations which have sometimes turned into long-term friendships.

Other works from this series:

If you want to support me as a freelance artist and the brushes, a little chip in would help me a lot <3

Since I know I won't have time to paint you a pretty Christmas pic this year (like the other years before), I would at least share with what I create my pictures. ;)
This is one small bunch of my selfmade custom brushes for Photoshop.

Some brushes can be a pain in the bum to use especially because their texture and style is so distinctive that changing brushes whilst painting can turn into a negative part of creating an image for the starters among the digital artists.

So I tried to create brushes that are simple to use for shading, detailing, etc.

I hope you enjoy, my dears. :blowkiss:

:bulletorange: Important:

How to load brushes into your program:

- Select the brush tool or hit the key "B" to select the tool.

- Click next to the arrow of the shown brush on the upper tool bar to open the "Brush Preset Picker".

- click the small arrow on the right side next to where you see the pixel size.

- then select "Load Brushes" and choose the files.

- there you go! The brushes will be loaded underneath all your other brushes.

- enjoy!

P.S:: You don't need to but it would be lovely (and also because I'm so curious) if you could link me your works for which you used these brushes. :]

Please do not redistribute or sell these brushes. Thank you!

Ultra Fractal 5.04

*** Prints made with a 3000x2000 size render *** For a higher-sized or higher-resolution print, please contact me ***

This fractal is part of my Project: Essentialities series, an ensemble of six conceptual works with Japanese names. The name "Essentialities" refers both to their minimalistic appearance (monochrome with a hint of colour) and to their intrinsic meaning: each of this series' fractals represents an essentiality, that is to say, a very relevant element of every human soul, or for every human life.

There's a sub-trilogy in this series, called the Trilogy of Life, which includes the three cardinal elements of the human being - spirit, consciousness, and heart. Each of those three elements comes with a primary colour: blue, yellow and red respectively.
The other three elements belonging to the series but not to this sub-trilogy focus on the secondary colours: green, purple, and orange, respectively representing truth, expression and feeling; their colours are not random: each of them is the offspring of two out of three elements from the Trilogy of Life. Truth is born from spirit and consciousness; expression is born from spirit and heart; feeling is born from consciousness and heart.

This is the series' second fractal, Shotai (しょうたい, "Consciousness", actually not its strict meaning, but one of the possible ones).

*** Prints made with a 3000x2000 size render *** For a higher-sized or higher-resolution print, please contact me ***

An ideal continuation of my "Project: Essentialities" series, and also my first entry for the Mandelbrot Fractal Art contest, 2011 edition.
Taken from the fractal description I put on the website:

<< This piece's title, "Ki", has a number of meanings in Japanese, among which "spirit", "mind" and "essence". It was made to represent the essential components of the human being, and composed to recall that peculiar cleanness and sobriety which are proper of our inner selves [...] The blue bar on the right side represents a pen, mankind's willpower, whereas the fractal structure in itself was made to recall ink on paper, with a soft touch of smooth texturing. >>

Welp, this time, I took the concept of "What happens when you delete a piece of art" and tried my damned best to recreate it in fractal form.

I am not quite sure of how well I pulled it off, though...

It's been far too long, but I've always had a goal of making a piece of artwork that I'd call somewhat fitting of my username.  Pretty silly goal, but nonetheless one that I think I've been able to address :dummy: .  It contains all my favorite color combinations (fire, blues, purples), has textures, contrast, saturation, and blurs, and is highly active and abstract.  I hope you all like it as well!

This is what I got from deliberately kicking my comfort zone in the butt and simultaneously deciding to make experiments on negative space and faint, sepia-like colouring. I like how this looks like blades. My other title idea was Sakura Blades, actually, but then I decided I'd go for something a bit more conceptual :XD: I thought Absentia (Latin for "absence") would fit negative space quite well

Edit: HOLY CRAP. MY FIRST DD. NO WAY. I never thought this one would get a DD, but I dont even care. I'm happy. So very happy. Thank you asheiya.deviantart.com/ for suggesting. You're wonderful. ^_^

If you'd like to see more of my work, I'm current apart of a game project that's being developed. I dont want to give out names, but we have people from Monstercat and League of Legends going to work on this as well. We're developing a kickstarter at the moment so if you'd like, follow me here www.facebook.com/DhenzelObeng for updates and here www.justin.tv/thedhenzel to see progress of the game.

This was a poster done for my school. Our school colors are blue and gold, and our 'symbol' is a phoenix. Gret.
