The Diner - Part 2It was two months before I found myself back in Oklahoma City, meeting with the client we’d picked up on my last company road trip. Heading south on I-35, I pondered if I should detour and visit the old diner I’d discovered over the summer. Of course, the diner wasn’t really what I was going back for, but I wasn’t sure if you-know-who would be working today, or if she even still worked there at all, for that matter. I decided to take my chances and cross the barren wasteland of cotton fields and cattle ranches once again.More Like This
Things hadn’t changed much outside the diner, other than the fact that a stray dog had taken up residence near the entrance. The skinny mutt barely stirred as I approached, and I once again crossed the threshold into the dimly lit interior.
In the corner I recognized Carl, once again with his two compatriots who were finishing up their breakfast platters. There were several other customers scattered around th
A big return home intro It had been a whole year since Alex had seen Mavis. When he found out that he finally had enough money to visit her on spring break, he could hardly wait. Although, what Alex didn't realize was that he might've changed over the time he was away.More Like This
When spring break finally came he got there as soon as he could, and met up with her in her new apartment.
"Gawwd it's been so long since I've last seen you!" Exclaimed Mavis. "Uhh- same!", he glanced around the apartment, "no roommate?" "Nah, last one was a total bitch. Had the gall to bring over three guys for a-", in a lower voice, "you know..." With his best poker face, Alex said, "sounds like she'd make a great stripper." She laughed, "HA! That's the best part! She is!" Suddenly, Mavis stilled and looked Alex sternly in the eyes, "but what about you? I see you're a little 'bigger' in some places." Poking him in the gut. Alex reddened, "well... You know.... I guess the freshman fifteen kinda grew on me
Myers Hall Boys - Chapter 2ShaneMore Like This
Shane was once again shirtless when he and his roommate walked into the lounge for the floor meeting. Due to the heat, almost half the guys were shirtless. Shane had tried to convince Jared to take off his shirt, but the usually confident boy was still feeling self-conscious after Shane's jokes. Shane felt bad. He didn't really have a problem with Jared's weight, and he had tried his best to be encouraging to Jared that evening, but his earlier teasing had taken its toll. As Shane scanned the room, he noticed a small Hispanic boy obviously checking him out a few times. Like his roommate, Shane was bisexual, and it was very gratifying to get admiration from guys. Before Shane had a chance to look around much more, Big Joe walked into the room.
"Hey everyone!" he practically shouted. "Ready for an awesome year on Myers Hall floor 2?" Shouts of affirmation came from around the room. Soon Joe had the boys introducing themselves one by one. Shane was amazed at how well the room
Fat Camp - Ch.1I'll admit, I never thought I would be the kind of guy to give into an idea as dated and ineffective as 'fat camp', but then again, it wasn't entirely my idea. It wasn't a direct command from anyone else, either. Not really. Every time I came back home for a weekend my mom would mention how much her church group's sons and daughters had enjoyed it, and how much weight they'd all lost. She didn't spare any details, either - she was already passing photographs to me before the words had even fully left her mouth. One particularly shocking photo was of a boy who weighed close to 500 pounds before going to the camp - his "before" picture looked like a pile of pink play dough someone had moulded into a crude effigy of some shy looking guy with big blue eyes and more rolls than a bakery. On the right was what I assumed was the same boy, only about three times smaller, striking a confident pose at the camera as he grinned happily and gave two thumbs up, a pair of blue shorts hugginMore Like This
