It takes control of everything, paralyzing your body with pain and the three most painful words of your entire existence: I own you. It is what forcefully pushes crooked, edged horns through the thick skin of your forehead, no matter how hard you push at them with your palms. It is the substance which sharpens your teeth into gnarled, pointed fangs, sharp enough to tear through bones. Jak cursed, bringing his hand up to his face in the feeble attempt to block out the sun as his vision wavered. Three hours of walking and it had finally reached it peak, much to the trio's dismay. It was unusually quiet in the desert - the only noise was feet moving across the sand, and wings beating sluggishly in the stale air. Naturally it was Daxter who broke the silence, as Jak nearly stumbled from shock.
"AUGH!" he burst out, stopping to grab at his goggles. Pecker swiveled around to stare, too fatigued to be annoyed at the sudden stop. "I can't believe the city friggin' did this to us! We saved those lowlifes!" Jak opened his mouth to retort, but found his mouth to be too dry. Daxter turned to face his friend and recoiled. "Hey, uh, you okay Big Guy?"
Jak found himself sinking onto the sandy ground, as Daxter worriedly scampered over. His vision was going black
