First work in almost half a year. Still haven't got a fully functional computer - had to keep the file size to a minimum and work on very few layers for my 5 year old laptop not to crash.

Feeling very rusty, but was good fun getting back to creating something.

Hope you like it. Comments are highly welcome :)

Legends tell of an oasis, hidden away in a lonely corner of isolation, and appearing when all seems lost...

Sorry,  my mind is stuck in space at the moment.  I may have a few more spacey things I'm working on at the moment as well!

My existence wastes away, lost to time
as the shadows long have covered over my eyes, my dreams
but never taken away my hope.
What's to stop a weary soul from fading eternally?

Hello, lovelies (:

Since it's summer and the school is over for some people (*yay*) I guess everyone will find a little bit more time for deviantart.
That's why I decided to make some of our lovely deviants happy by giving them a premium membership and points :aww:

All you have to do:

fav this journal in order to participate and voila!

(*faving this journal is needed just so I can know who's entering the contest. Counting each comment would be a hard job
*the prize can't be transferred to someone else's account)

The prizes:

- 3 month premium membership
- 3 month premium membership

The 2 lucky winners will be chosen by random.org generator.

update* deadline:  8th July, 2012.

Don't forget to tell your friends so they can participate too :happybounce:

Good luck and xo

The Winners:

Two lucky people who random.org picked are

:iconspotlightplz:

:iconlucky88duck: and :iconpineap:

Congrats, guys!
Also, thank you all for participating. I am glad this giveaway has been very popular and many deviants entered.
See you soon in the next contest :la:

my gallery

IMPORTANT update: I hope I'm not breaking any rules by organizing this giveaway contest. I sent a question to ask people in charge is this allowed after getting a note from one of the deviants.
This is a giveaway. I don't ask anything in return. I just wanted to be fair and give a chance to people who might have never had a premium membership to get one as a gift.

If being kind and generous will get me banned, someone please tell me.

Thank you

A little sloppy, but I  say it's pretty good :D A mandela of Candle Cove since I like the pasta so much. Good story too- here: creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Can… Some of the characters in this are based on the characters in the wiki: candlecove.wikia.com/wiki/Cand… I don't know if there canon but they sure do fill the space :^D Okay let's start pointing who des people are: top or bottom with the sunset, left is Skin-Taker and the right is Poppy (archenemies); right or left with the black flag, top is Percy and the bottom is Horace Horrible; the two pointy things with teeth are boats, the lighter one is Ms. Laughingstock and the darker one is the Crakerjack. Yup, that's about it. I put the red shoelace in the center because that's the thing that let's Janice teleports to the Canlde Cove world. The stirring wheel for the boat is pretty pirate-y, as well as the waves...
So that is all

I am really excited about this drawing. Not only was it challenging, the photo that I used as reference was by the AMAZING photographer:

Original is 9x9 on Bristol Vellum
Prisma Color Pencils
Faber and Castelle Pencils
Derwent Aquatone Pencils - Black and White Only
Metalic Silver Prisma Color Pencil
General's White Compressed Charcoal Extra Smooth
Browny Pastel Cadmium Red-Orange Tint 3

Mistakes were made, but I am ok with them. I don't feel that I could ever do justice to this incredible photograph.

Thank you again :iconkoukei: for allowing me to use your amazing image.

Did you know that soap bubbles can freeze in minus temperatures?

I discovered this after seeing that photo  Frozen Bubble by JessiesPhotography by JessiesPhotography and decided to try my luck! It's kind of a fascinating process but honestly, it's -35°C here lately, with a lot of wind, so it tends to break too fast (and I also tend to freeze faster than the bubble :D ). Will definitely try again!

EDIT: OMG Thank you so much for giving this photo a Daily Deviation!! I feel so glad about it!! :squee:
Thanks a lot to Great-Name for suggesting it and to Kaz-D for featuring it! :huggle:

Abstract and Surreal DDs for MayI think we're much smarter than we were.
Everybody knows that abstract art can be art,
and most people know that they may not like it,
even if they understand there's another purpose to it.

Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only
what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.
