One day, the Royal Council sent soldiers to take away the prettiest young female in the land, that she may become a living doll, The Queen of the Kingdom, cursed until the day she dies. Right in front of the boy's eyes, they snatched her up and threw her in a carriage, where the two would forever be separated.
"Ah, finally out of that rat hole that is Fort Radiance," the young man began, then adding a sarcastic laugh, "Radiant, definitely. That place had the worst conditions that make a pig pen look like a palace."

"Where are we going, Kairi? We've been driving this stupid Gummi ship for an hour!!!" Roxas whined from the back seat. Kairi giggled as he whined, excited that they truly had no idea where they were going. She took a quick glance at Namine, who was trying to make him shut up. Sora was sitting next to her in the passenger seat, eyeing her nervously. He and Roxas had suggested that the get off of Destiny Island, and when they finally did, all she got was nervous looks and whining. She sighed, and looked ahead, 'Only 5 more minutes to go, then he will finally shut up.'
Namine asked, "Kairi, can I tell him now? He's getting on my nerves!" Kairi gave her and agitated look as if to say, I know this. "Fine, if you want to suffer with his whining and complaining then go ahead, but you've got driver's seat and you're next to Sora! He is like a mouse!!! Come on; at least tell him how long he has to wait for." Namine was furious and Kairi wanted this to be a happy affair. 'Oh well,' she thought.
