She had short black hair
She had glasses, like the ones I wear now, thick and black that’s the style.
She was kind, I remember that, but we’d barely said a few sentences to each other.
She was shorter than me, and I was standing on a short wall.
It made it hard but she stood on tiptoe and I bent over, and she planted a kiss on my cheek
She ran off giggling like it was a dare or a joke, but it still put a smile on my face
She was dead by next year, and people mourned and cried
They say she took her own life I can’t imagine why
She always looked so happy.
I didn’t go to the funeral, I barely knew her but I should have gone.

For a girl I should have known.
For a girl who placed a kiss on my cheek, as a joke then faded out of my life.

School keeps me relatively busy, so my only real employment has been in the summer. Typically that money lasts, but this year I've taken on a couple of new expenses. Namely my own hunk of the phone bill, the upkeep of our 29 gallon tank, and of course all the costs that come with shipping out information to colleges. Now, I
