We Won't Die- All I ever WantedMore Like This
"Sid! Where the hells are you, ya little shit!" Beau bellowed, scaring me from my seat in front of the television. I dropped my spoon in fear and nearly knock over my bowl of cereal. I heard his booming footsteps looming closer and wondered what I had done now to piss him off. He shadow fell into the living and I scooted back away from him. "There you are. Why didn't you come when I called you?"
"I didn't hear you." I mumbled, dropping my gaze quickly. Beau tsk'ed at me; shaking his head. He moved his arms from behind his back and I saw the belt dangling from his hand. He smiled sadistically. I moved back even more, hitting the wall with a wince. I was stuck.
"Time to play, Sidney…"
"SID! Wake up, man. You're dreaming." someone shouted in my ear. I jerked awake, chest heaving as if I had just ran a mile. Chris was on the side of me, looking at me intently. I blushed, pushing the blankets off my legs. Chris moved backwards. "You okay?"

I slowly moved my hand, squinting in the dim light to see where I was. My eyes found a room with dirty white walls covered in black graffiti. My heart tightened the instant I saw the paint. I had thought I would never see that specific paint job again. I was home.
I pushed myself up into a sitting position. I had a sore neck and back from sleeping on the ground. I knew there was a mattress in the corner but I refused to lie on it. I had promised myself that I would never sleep on that bed again. Resting my back against the dingy wall, I scanned the room for any changes made in my absence. I figured my brother would have cleared out this room after I had left. But by the looks of it, Beau hadn't changed a single thing.
My dresser sat in the near the door, the yellow paint chipped and peeling. My initials carved in the wood stood out star
