Chapter 1: Rest Stop
Big Macintosh paused briefly as he contemplated the words that had just left his sisters mouth and entered his ears. He wasn't sure what exactly distracted him from hearing the words the first time, nor did he bother to think about it much. The gentle breeze sweeping under the branches of the trees began whipping the tufts of his orange mane and casually cooled off his sweating body as his h
BASIC GRAMMAR HELP, HOW TO NOT SUCK.OKAY, FIRST THING'S FIRST, DISABLE CAPS LOCK PEOPLE!!More Like This
Now, I'll put this very simply; This is a tutorial for EVERYONE to see, if they write stories/literature.
You may know all of this, you may know none of it, but I hope I can improve some of the submissions a wee bit.
First off, the period.
( . )
When ending a sentence or thought, you use a period to show that you have finished said thought.
I like pie.
The period is the most commonly used punctuation mark in the WORLD, because most sentences need one.
This leads me into the next part, the ? and ! marks.
A ? at the end of a sentence shows that said sentence was a question, and the ! shows that the fact of dialogue is supposed to be emphasized.
(Protip: In Spanish, sentences start AND end with a ? (Though the one it starts with is up-side down) to show before-hand that the sentence is a question!))
Did you wash the car?
I just learned about Korea!
When continuing a thought, you use a comma.

The library was closed when Princess Celestia arrived, terrible glory her raiment. With narrowed eyes, she approached.
"Stop!" cried a high-pitched voice, and Celestia turned.
"...if you don't mind, that is, your Highness," said Fluttershy, bowing before her (though it seemed more like cowering in attitude).
"Hast thou been sent to forestall our approach?" cried Celestia, her voice thunderous, her eyes afire.
Fluttershy flinched, and then recovered. She walked closer, the heat from her ruler making her hair smolder. "I know I'm not wearing the Element of Kindness right now, your Majesty, but I claim the Bearer's Right, because I don't want to need it later."
Celestia's eyes returned to their usual appearance, though her mane retained the hues of flame. "The Right is granted."
Fluttershy looked away, and shuffled a forehoof. "When I tried to make your animals love me, all I got was a stampede and a heartache. I was desper

A light movement on Vinyl's exposed chest caused her eyes to shoot wide open. The surprise of being touched had sent her brain into overdrive, absorbing her surroundings incredibly fast. She saw lightly painted walls and white moldings around the ceiling. She lay exposed on a soft taupe couch and a mare lay next to her. Well, next to her probably wasn't a very accurate description. The pony had one back leg tossed over Vinyl's own right hind leg, a grey left leg was tucked under the same hind le

This is an MLP:FiM shipping fanfiction featuring Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Yes, sisters. Yes, together. That's why I'm posting a warning. Don't give me that look. What do you mean "that wasn't a look", it totally was! Whatever, you have been warned.
Well, here we go.

Celestia smiled, reading through the letter from Twilight as she lay in her bed. Her student had again learned a lesson in the magic of friendship, reporting it to her mentor at day's end as always. Celestia giggled to herself, lightly amused at how serious the unicorn took her assignment. Twilight had been her personal student, living within the palace for most of her life, and yet, she had never had friends. Between Celestia and Spike, the young unicorn was hardly sociable, despite an obvious desire to be so hidden away below her studious nature. It took being "assigned" to have friends before Twilig

It had been many many pony generations since the clacking and clattering of young hooves had regularly enlivened the halls of Canterlot Castle, and Princess Celestia knew it. Even in the best of times there was more arthritic creakings of limbs from stiff and stiffening old diplomats and dignitaries than ponies at play, and sometimes she wondered if the life were going out of the old place.
But now the hammer and nails had come out and the constant buzz and flutter of pegasuses around the old south tower had stirred in the Princess memories of livelier days of fun and play in the wide marble halls, and that is how an invitation made its way from her study to the Ponyville Publick Library. The Princess had spent many weeks anticipating her student's arrival and the evening finally came late on
Applejoy - Chapter 13More Like This
Rainbow Dash was entirely too comfortable to wake up. Nope, she decided she was perfectly fine with continuing to sleep. She was warm, comfortable and content to completely ignore the world for another few hours. She shifted herself, her fur brushing against something very warm and very soft. She snuggled in closer. She rather enjoyed the way the soft, fuzzy surface cushioned her body, the slow, rhythmic up-and-down motion that gently rocked and soothed her, the faint scent of apples
Even in her drowsy state, and despite her conviction that the morning had arrived far too early for her liking, Rainbow Dash was enjoying herself. Perhaps it was the stubborn determination that was her nature, or, more likely, the excessively late night she had enjoyed previously, but she kept herself groggily determined to stay in bed, snuggling with her warm, fuzzy, apple-smelling thing. Neither the growing light that irritated her right at the edges of her eyelids, nor the seemingly dis

There was precious little light coming from the filly's room, but what illumination was still there allowed Applejack and Rainbow Dash a near-perfect view into the guest room that they had given over to Scootaloo. What they saw stunned them into speechlessness for a good moment. Scootaloo lay on her back on the bed, her head pressed deep into the pillow by Applebloom, who had curled her way on top of the other filly. In the dim light, Applejack and Rainbow Dash could only just make out the fact that they seemed to be kissing. Albeit clumsily and completely without regard whatsoever towards the finer aspects of such an experience, their lips were pressed together awkwardly all the same.
Applejack made to protest, but her words were denied entrance at the tip of her lips by a great barrier, that turned out to be one of Rainbow Dash's forelegs. Before she could even register her disapproval with a grunt, or make any sort of noise at all for that matter, Applejack found herself
Apple-Pie Celestia's early morning sun peeked over the horizon as Applejack strolledMore Like This
through Ponyville with her early morning deliveries in tow. She preferred making her
rounds early so she could pack her stand up at the end of the day and head straight for
home, just in time for dinner. A single bag filled to the top with apples remained slung
firmly across her shoulder as she made her way to the last stop. Ignoring the closed sign hanging in the door she nudged it open letting herself inside the bakery. A sneaky smile crossed her face, she strangely enjoyed the feeling of sneaking inside while the place was officially closed. The smell of sugar wafted through the air from the morning's first batch of goods as a pink pony poked her head through the kitchen doors.
"Hey there Applejack! Ready to get your apple on?" Pinkie asked with an enormous smile.
