Oh my gosh, they're finished. Collapses. That only took forever. Have some bookmarks. They somehow ended up being season themed. They did that themselves. So they're corrupted seasons. Good to know.
From The Lorax movie, the Once-Ler and Greed!Once-Ler, representing Summer. Wow, I just realized that sounded like a fashion show. That's mildly hilarious. From Portal 2, Android versions of Wheatley and Corrupted!Wheatley, representing Spring. And your precious moon.. From the Tooth Fairy movie, Tracy the Caseworker and Purge's Law!Tracy. Personally, I look at Purge's Law as an alternate universe. I think I overdid it with the blood again… And finally, last but certainly not least, from Supernatural, Castiel and Leviathan!Castiel. I really can't draw Cas but Leviathan!Cas was fun to draw.
And that is all I have to say about that. Feel free to print and enjoy.
Once-Ler (c) Dr. Seuss. Wheatley (c) Valve. Tracy (c) Tooth Fairy. Castiel (c) Eric Kripke. Title based on the song "How Bad Can I Be?" from The Lorax.
EDIT 24/2/14 - This picture's colour scheme has always irked me and so I have changed it slightly, as well as a few details here and there. It's still not exactly what I would've liked, but it's better than before I think.
You would not believe how hard it has been for me to complete *anything* this whole year. Seriously, I have stacks and stacks of rough sketches and never seem to get past that stage! It's been absolutely frustrating.. you have no idea.
Anyway, Supanova Perth 2012 had an Art Comp so I told Hidennka to enter. I figured that we could spur one another on to enter. Well, she stuck to her word and a few days later she had done not one but TWO options for the comp (thepinkfoxx.deviantart.com/art… and thepinkfoxx.deviantart.com/art… ) .. meanwhile, I was still struggling to think of something for mine. A day or two before Supanova, I tried again. I almost gave up, but I figured that it would be better to submit *something* rather than nothing at all.. especially since I had made Hidennka do it!
And so I did. It isn't as polished as I would've liked.. I would've liked to have spent more time on the inside of the portal and the turrets, but anyway, here's what I entered into the competition. Apparently I got runner-up, which is nice. (:
My jumpsuit came in! Now all I need are the gun, boots and some grey contact lenses, which are gonna take a really long time…
The jumpsuit is cheap; it’s the ones you can buy at the costume store for cheap. The material is flimsy and already the shoulder seams look like they are about to bust. Oh well; I just hope it holds up long enough.
Does anyone at all know what I can seal this with so the paint will not wear so easily?
I've tried mode podge from the plastic jar and clear nail polish-both very messy/wear off easier than the paint itself. I need something skin friendly .___. since these will be in contact with feet and what not.
Couldn't forget Portal, one of the most funny games I have ever played. This is Chell and the robot Wheatley, my favorite characters of this series. If you never played Portal I strongly recommend you to do it, it's impossible not to like this game
I'll be uploading the remaining doodles ramdomly, sorry for that! I can't count on my Internet connection here in the country
So this all started with me wanting to dress up as Chell for Halloween. Cutting a long story short I got completely carried away, and a simple Halloween costume turned into a 2-3 Month Cosplay build! ...But it was all worth it
I absolutely love building things, especially with found objects or bits of scrap nobody loves anymore. The idea for a Steampunk version came from this as I much prefer rusty cogs to pristine white anyday. A lot of people have asked what this is made from... as far as I can remember the ingredients are:
2 antique clock movements, 1 +1/2 hangers, Metal teapot stand, plastic mechano, plumbing parts, 1 plant pot, 1 hair gel pot + various lids, plastic tub (those ones you get nuts in the the supermarket), plastic tubing, lots and lots of nuts and bolts, miniature storage box (for the battery compartment), pocket laser disc (you can get them on ebay if anyone's interested), 3 lightbulbs, carboard tube, metal covering from an old hairbrush, AV socket, tons of odds and ends from my parents garage, oh and of course the usuals - milliput, humbrol and warhammer paints, hot melt glue and about 6 gallons of superglue. ...that's about as much as I can remember... enjoy!
----------------------------\(^0^)/------------------------------- EDIT: Woop!! Over 2000 favourites on this - seriously can't believe it. Thanks sooo much to everyone whose commented... you are all lovely Sorry I can't respond to everyone's comments but I'll do my best to answer any questions!
Oh my god I finished something. And I don't totally hate it! But man for something so small I went through a lot of grief (granted most of it was my own stupidity, but still...). I didn't take super glue seriously before. I do now. I owe my room mate a whole new bottle of acetone from all the times I had to unstick my fingers. Also, note to self, when blending paints to make a unique color, just make a ton of it the first time around and keep the rest in case of a repaint, and not risk having to spend 20 minutes trying to recreate the same shade of pale grey that you made yesterday. (I failed, by the way)
ANYWAY oh hey look it's an itty bitty GLaDOS~ she's based on the shenanigans going on at Ask a GLaDOS Fangirl. Good stuff, 'specially for people like me. (Shut up Nik) Turned out a bit too big though; no matter how much I try my sculptures always turn out larger than I expect them to be. She's semi-posable too, though it makes her more frail than my other sculpts. I heard a loud crack while moving her head at some point, might end up having to redo the neck area again if it gets really bad.
Download for full size and thanks for looking! ((Just so we're on the same page, Chrome, I'm joking about the stealing thing, let me know if you want me to reword that?))
Edit: Hah, I just remembered that I tried to sculpt GLaDOS once before. [link] I'm glad I've improved at least a little bit since 2008. xD
You’re such a good friend I have to break your heart.
I’ll tell you that I love you and then I’ll tear your world apart.
Just pretend I didn’t tear your world apart…
One of the products from today’s livestream. Thinking it’s from my AU Portal story. I’m thinking this might be sometime after they find out he’s a robot. They probably wore themselves out (mostly Chell I’d think trying to deal with that). So I definitely feel there’s some kind of apprehension here… I dunno.. I guess it’s up for interpretation at this point.
But when it comes down to it, all that matters is that it’s adorable. :V And here’s the song those lyrics are from: [link]
i've been meaning to draw ezio for the longest time, plus i just finished playing portal 2. i LOVE both games, and decided to combine the two together.
when you think about it, both have lots in common (at least chell and desmond do). and when i thought about it some more, i could totally see how they could meet each other (i mean chell and ezio as desmond).
and yes, you read that right: there will be more parts telling a rough story of their meeting (at least 2 more). yes, there will be bad guys. yes, there will be assassinations, and portal making.
as for the games themselves, well they're about my favorite games ever. simply wonderful. portal 2 was FANTASTIC. shooting the moon? ugh, it gave me CHILLS, its so brilliant.
needless to say, its roughly widescreen for your wallpaper needs.
More Portal 2 art! These are just some random drawings that I've done inbetween revising. God, I'm so tired. I've been surviving on about 5 hours sleep per night, 'cause I'm drawing so much. SO obsessed with this game!
Anyway these are my designs for human versions of GLaDOS and Wheatley. I'm still working on Wheatley's design, but GLaDOS is here: [link]
Btw, the one with Chibi GLaDOS and Chell is from the GLaDOS Potato song - [link]
You can purchase this in my Storenvy and Etsy. You can also buy it directly from me! +
This was one of the prizes I gave on my latest giveaway ~neszer won and requested a slice of my Portal Cake, which is a black forest cake, on a ring. I wanted to surprise her a little bit and make it super special, as if it were on a small fancy plate with a dollop of whipped cream, a cherry, some fruit sauce, and a tiny fork I'm really pleased with how it turned out and it's a lot of fun to wear! I'm really happy with this design, so I put it up for sale on my stores. I guarantee you'll love it, the textures and colors are amazing and look delicious I'll have to make one for me!
I don't have plans to make a giveaway anytime soon, sorry I need to make monies!
Technical stuff: All handmade by me with polymer clay and liquid clay, except for the fork which was bought. The plate is part of the ring base I bought. I have tutorials for the cake, whipped cream and chocolate shaving son my YouTube.
1. For people unaware, Bioshock: Infinite is set in the 1910's. This isn't Victorian, it's Edwardian! 2. These layers aren't as hot as you think they are, and there were more comfortable/breathable options for summer and warmer weather. Thank god. 3. Yes, it takes time to put on this stuff, but probably not as long as you think. 4. These layers aren't hardwired (certain bloomers/drawers could be worn over the corset, for instance), but the chemise fits relatively comfortably under the drawers in this instance because most Edwardian drawers would be open at the crotch. That, ladies and gents, is how you pee in Columbia.
So the problem with designing characters who become popular is that, if you’re a needy bastard like me who tracks the Lutece tags on Tumblr/DA when you’re bored, you’re suddenly exposed to a ton of art of your characters in various states of undress.
I’m not one to discourage this sort of thing- no no, I have sketchbooks full of Remus/Sirius stuff from high school- but I figured I might as well give everyone a leg-up with a more detailed guide to Rosalind Lutece’s potential underthings. I’ve seen a ton of drawings of her in corsets from a good 50 years before her time and I… I needed to step in.
Think of this as a primer! Not a be-all-end-all of Edwardian underthings (heck, I’m still learning this stuff), but it might teach you some new fashion terms/ideas you weren’t previously aware of! Go forth, young padawan, and draw historically-accurate Rosalind porn to your heart’s content.
…I do not know if this counts as fanart or not since I’m the one doing it? Whatever. RESEARCH OR DIE MOFOS
This was a triumph I'm making a note here HUGE SUCCESS! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
And here we are with the whole group of Portal pumpkins at once! I knew I wanted to do a Portal theme as soon as I played the games, but that was the same year I had gone to Japan so I carved that theme instead. I had plans to carve this last year but I exhausted myself with Majora's Mask and didn't have it in me to carve GLaDOS as well as the others. But finally I was determined to get it done this year and it was done.
That's it for me this season. Hope to see you with some watermelons next summer!
I had the whole thing planned out for carving these in order to fit in time around work. I was going to do all the pattern transferring on Wednesday and Thursday, then start carving Friday night after work, and finish up mid-Sunday, maybe even Saturday night if I was motivated. Instead I ended up being too tired to get anything done Wed-Thurs-Fri, did all the pattern transferring Saturday morning and started carving that night, and finished Tuesday morning after staying up two nights in a row. But I finished everything and it looks great, so it was worth it!
A companion piece to The Red propaganda piece I did. As with the first one I was given a lot of leeway, so I tried to drum up something that matched the fear of communism that was prevalent in most propaganda stuff. Before you ask, no I'm not espousing any political viewpoints. I'm just making art. It does make me laugh though.
Updated note : wait what? my comic has more than 120 favorites! I can't believe it SERIOUSLY OMG THIS IS AMAZING I never thought this could be possible! Thanks to everyone, I am the happiest man in the world right now! :3
Just got back from FanExpo and, boy was it a fun show.
This was by far one of the coolest costumes I saw today. A humanoid Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube. She began to walk away while I was trying to get my camera set up, so I called out "Excuse me, Miss Cube?" and she posed for me.
If you know, or is the girl in this photo, please let me know so I may give proper credit.
