This is one of ten pieces I did for the new Star Wars Essential Guide to Warfare. I had a blast working on it and I'm excited that I am able to contribute to the Star Wars universe.

I will be posting them in the order of sequence as it appears in the book. Hope you guys enjoy them!

An aerial panoramic view of the famous Battle of Grassy Plains in Ep 1. It was very tedious to paint hordes of Gungans and Battle Droids plus I had to make sense of the troop formations but it all turned out well in the end.

Some Star Wars Inspired picture after very long time. When I was reading very good technical website about the starwars, I've found picture of the leg and small comment of one amazing machine. This Is my vision of superheavy Imperial battle walker.
My intention was make a new design of a huge war machine, of course somehow similar to AT-AT. So I didnt have much space for experiments.
This walker much bigger than his older brother about twice in height. The desingis using some elements from the battleships of the Empire. Weapons: one turbolaser, eight heavy lasers and many heavy blaster cannons. The picture captures flawless crushign of the rebels defence positions on some cold planet (not Hoth:)). Rebellion have no weapons that can harm this machine.

The walker is based on simple 3d model(done in 1hour). The rest is playing with many layers in photoshop. the small at-st and some planes done form the reference. Picture was done half on cintiq tablet, the rest Intuos3. Time about 25-30 hours, just 2 hours a day after work.

That is the reason for which I was... kind of silent. Two meter long, built from LEGO and LEGO only Imperial Star Destroyer. Dozens of thousands of pieces, good few thousand $ spent, half a year of my life wasted on building day after day, night after night.

But there she is, dream fulfilled. Some kids want to be astronauts... I wanted a huge, HUGE Star Destroyer. Made fully out of LEGO, naturally.

This one isn't as good as my "Star Destroyers on Patrol", but I like it. STILL just killing time. I do seem to like the combination of 3 ships though.

Probably the last painting I'll make on this computer, before I switch to my brand spankin' new IBM S20 workstation.
I wasn't feeling too inspired though so I just (incorrectly) drew Samus.
Everyone likes her right? the blonde, space thong wearing warrior supreme.

Drizzt surrounded by several enemys, another dangerous threat.LOL In this pic i wanted to show some other characters like the huge orc (my favorite) a wicht, and soldiers...and yes Guenhwyvar and Wulfgar ,but i have massive problems with my Screen. I have to change the Hardware... :( PS:I will do from some closeups of several characters like the Orc or the Wicht or Wulfgar. Concerning the armor from Drizzt,I took some time to think, about the shape, functionality and when you watch all the buckles and follow the form you will see that the Armor works.
Hope you like it...

The first one is a battle between the Lusankya of the New Republic Forces under the command of Wedge Antilles and the Reaper, commanded by Gilad Pellaeon of the Imperial Remnant. The two SSDs hammer each other while the wreckage of the fleet carrier Endurance goes down in flames.

Of the ten pieces I did for Warfare I think this is my favorite one. This scene takes place at the Battle of Kashyyyk during the Second Galactic Civil War where Galactic Alliance forces clash with Confederate forces made up of Bothans, Wookies, Hapans and the Jedi Order. The battle rages around the Anakin Solo, commanded by Jacen Solo (secretly Darth Cadeus), as she bombards the planet surface of Kashyyyk from orbit with her forward long-range turbolasers.

Other things to note in this piece is the never-before-seen Wookie Owool Interceptors making attack runs on the Anakin Solo and the Stealth X fighters flown by Jaina Solo and the Jedis in the foreground. There are also some XJ3/XJ5 X-wings flying about and for those who are wondering about the Mon Calamari Cruiser, yes, it is an MC90 class.

A fan art of Nova from Blizzard's Starcraft II. Did it for a video games convention here in Singapore last year. The convention wasn't very good IMO.

Hope you guys enjoy this piece though. Can't sell it as print unfortunately.

Another illustration done for Medieval Warfare Magazine a few months back.

This is the battle of Kutna Hora fought in a cold winter night between the Hussites, led by the famous commander, Jan Zizka, and the combined Hungarian and German coalition led by King Sigismund of Hungary (also soon to be Holy Roman Emperor). As you will notice the Hussites were a primarily infantry force based around the tactic of using war wagons as a bastion against enemy heavy cavalry assaults, a tactic Jan Zizka used to devastating effect and hence made popular among medieval armies of the European east. Here The Hungarians and Germans are caught off guard as Jan Zizka conducts an offensive push to break through the royalist forces which have surrounded his own.

You can read more about the battle here >> [link]

Its was also interesting to read about the Hussite heresy and how it came about and why the Church was adamantly against them. There was even a letter sent by Saint Jeanne d'Arc to the Hussites threatening them with extermination if they did not renounce their heresy and embrace Catholic orthodoxy. Of course in such wars there's also always a whole lot of local politics involved which drove the conflict.

Hope you guys enjoy this piece :)

And if any of you are interested you can check out the magazine here. Its a very interesting magazine if you're in to medieval history. >> [link]

Here's a rare fan art piece I did of Mrs Skywalker. She's one of the coolest female leads in the Star Wars mythos but its too bad she died in the novels.

Notice she's using Luke's original lightsaber, the one he lost when he fought Vader, which he than retrieved later on and gave it to Mara.

Hope you guys like it.

One of the most fastest and deadliest fighters in the Imperial Navy, the TIE Raptor was a custom built TIE Interceptor by Grand Moff Jerenn. He wanted power, speed and defense. He improvised the fighter's firepower and speed. He had the wings implanted with Solar generators for powering the fighter and it's shields.

An illustration from the Dark Nova Roleplaying Game.

I decided to redo the Spartan Group assault fleet image. While it is true that most naval engagements in space take place at a range of tens- if not hundreds- of thousands of kilometers, and the original image reflected this, it just didn't have the same panache or flair without being able to see the enemies. That, and as was pointed out by one of our playtesters, most of their naval engagements were in low-to-mid orbit where maneuvering room is limited, so battles tend to get very tight. So, I added in a few of the Khurian ships that SG was kicking the batsnot out of to give a bit of balance, and frankly I like it a lot better.

Spartan Group- Unquestionably the largest, most powerful, and widespread mercenary company, Spartan Group is a Freespace-based company with extremely strong naval capabilities, potent ground forces, and substantial intelligence, special operations, support, and logistics assets. Like Eastbridge Services, Spartan Group traces its roots- at least in part- to the pre-Fall period. Triple Canopy- one of the PMCs that would later form Spartan Group proper shortly after the Fall- had been operating throughout the world since the latter part of the 20th century, making Spartan Group arguably the oldest mercenary firm in existence. Like Eastbridge, it has taken part in every major conflict, including having a pivotal role in the Andali War for Independence. Their propensity to work for any legitimate client without bias, regardless of whether or not they are a previous opponent, makes them surprisingly popular. They have yet to violate or break a contract unless the client broke it first, and this has given them a sterling reputation.
In addition to their rep, SGs capabilities have also made them the premier mercenary firm. Their naval capabilities are unmatched by any other mercenary firm, and they produce and sell warships from their shipyards in the Heliopolis system. SG is the only mercenary firm to have built and fielded battleship-class warships, though they primarily hold these powerful vessels back to defend their home systems and shipyards. They can field hundreds of vessels at a time- ranging from corvettes to battlecruisers- without compromising their existing garrison contracts, making them an extremely adaptable force. No one is certain of how many ships of each class SG has, but they have fielded a fleet of over five hundred destroyers, one hundred thirty cruisers, sixty seven battlecruisers, twelve carriers, and eight battleships in defense of the Kitai system, and intelligence reports estimate this was not even a quarter of their full fleet capacity. SG is also one of the most expensive firms to hire, and one of the hardest for an entry-level mercenary to get into. Mercs who want to join Spartan Group generally have to be in the top 10% of their field.

First in a series of World War II mecha designs from all the major powers. I'd resisted an explicit participation in alternate history scenarios, but I thought I'd try my hand at it. Famous last words, eh? Dieselpunk claims another soul!

My entry for the November 2011 Gnomon Workshop forum challenge.

This month the theme was: MMAU; Mobile Mechanized Artillery Unit.

I imagine DARPA will have something like this in a theater of war in the next 50 years; if humanity survives that long.

Enjoy!

*EDIT* I tweaked the sky a bit. Wasn't happy with how it looked. Added more detailed cloud cover. Now I'm done.

Book cover for the third novel in the "Persona Kory Mae" quadrilogy by R. Mac Wheeler.

"In the first exploration outside the galaxy, the crew of the Kory Mae travel to the dark edge of the universe, to a rogue solar system, searching for the origin of a telepathic greeting.

The two-year mission challenges the seventeen, each with dreams and hopes, relationships and baggage, lives placed on hold. Isolation and the physics of accelerating by the speed of light every quarter of a second will punish them. They confront isolation, greed, politics, disease—and most surprising, arcane forces.

If they fail, there is no rescue. To survive, everything must go right. They have two advantages: the most advanced craft ever designed, and the brilliant physicist who built it, commanding the mission.

FIRST CONTACT is the third volume of the PERSONA KORY MAE series – science fiction meets fantasy."
