BalloonThe string tightly wrappedMore Like This
around my hand.
Laced through my fingers,
I held it firmly.
The string was tied to a
simple blue balloon.
I gently bounced the balloon
back and forth.
I enjoyed its company.

The balloon twisted,
almost dancing above me.
Its radiant energy rushed
down the string down to my hand.
Though just a balloon,
It possessed an almost
life-like quality of happiness.
But then the winds came.
The harsh and vengeful
winds grabbed at my balloon.
Weaving its venomous hands
around and about.
I pulled back to save my balloon
from its misery, but no avail.
I watched in despair and horror
as the balloon was pulled
further and further from me.
Its life force quickly draining
out before my eyes.
The helpless balloon looked
at me longingly, then
drifted off peacefully.
My hand came down.
I watched my balloon fly
away by itself.
I softly pondered its fate,
I merely hoped for the bes
I'll just forgetThe first time we met gaze.More Like This
Don't worry I'll forget.
Our first kiss,
It's okay, I'll forget don't worry.
The first time we made love, and every time after that.
I'll just forget them, like they never happened.
The day I asked you out,
Yeah I'll just forget about it.
I'll just act like it is another day, no worries there.
The first time we held hands,
I'll erase it from my memory.
The first time I told you that I loved you,
That will be a tough one, I'll throw it away.
The first time I didn't know what to say...
I'm not really sure if the pain of that will ever go away.

Sometimes I just want
To crash my face into the
Concrete. To make sure..
To see if it's just a dream.
It hurts. To know that
My scarlet constellations
Will just always go
Unseen, and unheard.
The screams are so sweet,
And the stars shall never streak.
Will no one stop me?
For I'll devour the night sky.
Black and WhiteThese are now my eyes: strictly black and whiteMore Like This
An iris shade of empty, the pupil dark as night
The color is an absent, the black is none but pain
Only I can cry this black and white rain
This is now my mouth: strictly black and white
White is known to lie, the black known to be right
Molars bleached like snow, lips as dense as tar
Speaking through your teeth here won't get you very far
These are now my ears: strictly black and white
While white can take the cold, black won't hear one fight
Hair always done up, white doesn't seem to mind
But black wants hair down to make it hard to find
This is now my nose: strictly black and white
Ugly as it is, wanting to be out of sight
White is on the outside, black dotted in between
Lasting pores up close just don't like to be seen
This is now my hair: not so black and white
It is not just one color, it simply isn't right
It seems it can't decide that black or white's okay
So if it is not either, I guess it must be gray
The starsI look up at the stars tonightMore Like This
and hey look honey! They shine for you
Like the little star you are, they shine for you
With a light so pure
a light which brings hope...
When I first met you
something felt different
something I haven't felt before
But I could never have guessed
that you would mean so much to me
that I would care this much
that you would be the one I miss the most
the only person I want near when the nights gets cold
and the demons of loneliness comes closer and closer...
When I first met you
I saw those deep blue eyes
with a painful story to tell
I saw a happy smile
to light up the world
I saw such a delightful joy
and I saw a loyal, funny and caring young man in you
What I didn't saw
was the meaning you would have in my life
I would never have guessed
that a girl like me
would have the chance to get to know
a guy like you
But now look at the stars
Don't you see how they shine so bright for you?
They are always there
Sure sometimes you can't see them

Let's take a look at the list of things to do:
First, we're going to rob a convenience store.
Everything is going to go horribly wrong,
As our surveillance man didn't notice
The cop in the back,
Buying doughnuts of all things.
We'll run away, because we have no guns,
The cop will probably break out laughing.
I have a shipment of illegal fireworks,
And I plan on selling them to a 12 year old.
He told me he wants to strap them to his skates
And see if he can fly.
Oh, before I forget, the boy will brag to his girl,
The girl will tell her father, who'll tell the boy's mother,
And she will call the cops.
So bring your best running shoes.
Next on the list,
We are going to pass off some counterfeit money.
Of course, we'll have the one cashier in the world
Who checks five dollar bills.
So we'll get busted trying to buy a pack of cigarettes.
She'll call the manager,
The manager will walk up to me.
He'll ask, "Why have you chosen such a life?
What inconsistency in your life has led
I am a PoetYou ask me who I am , where did I come fromMore Like This
I say: I am a poet, I was born out of the blazing silk of my words
My heart is an eternal rebel, since the dawn of creation
I'm the master of my own words, the keeper of God's secret
I'm the story of that rose shivering on the freezing hill
I live in that oasis of light, in a world beyond your world
The stars stare at my hopes, and hell trembles between my fingers
The night dreads my pain, the morning sleeps on my pillow
I create my words from the tissue of my veins
I weave the images from the feather of my eyelids
I wash my sins away, when I repent between the lines
My words move slowly between your palms, climb to your soul
To hug that poet, who sleeps between the chambers of your heart
When the world is mud, thorns and empty substance
I create my own, where the ground is basil and the walls are none

I call myself a writer, but whenever I set pen to paper to create my thought process, the page remains as blank as my mind.
I call myself an inkweaver, but the only ink I see is what drips from the nib of my pen- small abysses in the otherwise spotless wasteland of my page.
Everything is so clear in my mind, the dusty corners well disguised beneath the ebb and flow of this event they call creativity (which is, in fact, only the strange ramblings of a dehydrated mind).
If I could simply download you directly into my brain, this strange betrayal of my fingers would be an unnecessary happenstance. I would simply walk you through the patterns and show you instead of having to try and tell you.
Even then, though, I would be afraid that you wouldn't understand.
I am forever cursed to over-explain and under-simplify, to slip up and stand down, to bite my lip and forget that you are an intelligent being. I'm so caught up in making myself
