Andy didn't look up from the small, cracked mirror in his room, where he sat, drawing a black stitch across his cheek.
"Andy. Answer me."
Andy sighed and finally turned to the entrance of the pitiful excuse for a room, where Jinxx, or the 'Mystic', stood, arms folded as he leaned against the entrance, the torn scraps of fabric that constituted a door pushed aside to accommodate his body.
"Yes. Yes, I'm sure, this is best way. FEAR will be giving a speech in the centre of town, and our ambush will get him off guard. He'd never expect us to do that."
Jinxx still looked wary, brows burrowed, bangs pushed out of his face due to the sweat that was a result of living out in the desert for months on end. "But what if he has..."
"Sammi is in one of his centres, in another city, remember?"
"I meant..." Jinxx trailed off, giving him a meaningful look. Andy paled slightly before turning back to the mirror, shrugging him off.

The bus was almost empty, it was eleven at night on a Friday and most people were out partying by that point. It was snowing, frost coating the windows and obstucting a view of outside the vehicle.
Two men in their early twenties sat close-by each other, but the distance between the two showed that they were strangers. One had a fluffy scarf around his tan neck and a winter jacket to keep himself warm, hair glossy and straight. The other was the exact opposite - leather jacket open to reveal only a thin, ripped shirt undeneath; heavy metal blaring audibly through his earphones; blonde hair messy and tangled.
Their eyes met, and the former smiled shyly, sweetly, "I'm Ashley," he spoke, causing the latter to pull his earphones out and fix pale blue eyes on him- cold and calculating.
"Danny." He spoke after a moment, a sultry smirk slowly sliding onto his face.
A hand outstretched, and numbers were exhanged.
