CatharsisI didn't know I had depression until I turned around one day and found someone else in the same boat. It had never occurred to me that you could have depression and not know it and after sitting down with myself and having a good long think I came to the awful realization that it's been ten years. Ten years of being incapable of feeling the entire breadth of human emotion; only degrees of anger I couldn't control or understand, knowing that I was behaving completely irrationally and being unable to stop, driving away family and the precious few friends that had managed to find me and could no longer hang on to the maelstrom I had become.
It has been a never-ending rollercoaster traveling through a dream world where everything runs at quarter speed. Brief bursts of enthusiasm and passion over anything and nothing that send me shooting up to the clouds, only to creep slowly over the hill at the top, a creep that can take days or mere hours, before the car goes plunging

Was I born to be servant or king?
Certainly life is worth the bother.
Nor am I an insignificant thing.
For I have learned to call him Father.

Pirates have long existed throughout history; the concept of stealing for profit is something that many races develop over time as a hubris, existing from their earliest years as a people to long after they develop themselves as galactic orders and spread peace or war throughout the galaxy. Few races, however, exist primarily only to pirate and steal, as well as to bring death to the galaxy via explosions and detonations.
The Orghren are one such race. Though technically older than humanity, their own technology barely surpasses them in complexity. Indeed, many of their warships are hardly even their original design, as they have a knack of reverse-engineering the technology of those they steal or refitting old derelict space craft and use it to create their own warships. Indeed, almost half the starships in their arsenal are literally made of junk. Yet this junk works almost more effectively in the way of deliv

The pressure that he was applying wasn't enough, his blood was still dripping from between his long fingers, soaking though both of his shirts and his jackets. He didn't know why he wore so much stuff. It was too hot. If he had the strength to he would have been stripping the layers off but in the back of his mind he remembered that overheated was a symptom of blood loss.
Dean was ahead of him, lying face first on the cement. He wasn't moving. Sam's pace quickened, taking him to his brothers side. He was bleeding just as badly as Sam was, but he was alive. This sh

Summary: Tony reminisces over a comic and Steve is there to here the story of a crush.
AN: First ever Avengers ficlet so please, don't be too harsh. Tony and Steve may be a bit OOC, so I apologize for that. Hope you enjoy.
At the tender age of nine, Tony fell in love. Not that he knew what that was yet, he thought it to be adoration at the time. But when ever his father told him the stories about a blonde boy that went from being the most sickly man to a super solider, he always got a smile on his face and a feeling of happiness in his tummy. Sometimes he would just stare at the comics that he had and wonder what it would be like to know the American icon and what his voice would sound like. If he would a nice man or be a busy person like his father that was rarely seen around the house. He wondered about how tall he really would look in person and how his real smile would light up his face.
So all these feelings made it a very common occurrence to s
ChasedWhat had appeared to be a great day had now turned very bad indeed. When he'd woken up this morning, Peter had not expected to discover the existence of flesh devouring ghouls and blood-starved vampires. 'Oh wel' he thought to himself 'At least these vampires aren't beautifully glistening in the sunlight to make themselves seem romantic' Peter's older sister, Jenny, read Twilight, several times a week he was sure, and he could never understand what was so appealing about a jumped up teenage blood junkie who was constantly torn between wanting to take you to the cinema or ripping your face off to get to the tender meat that lay beneath, which had been slowly marinated by your bodily fluids for how ever many years you had been alive. 'It could always be worse'.More Like This
