UGLYBlemishes of any and all kinds devour me.More Like This
Pimples, scabs, scars and sores
Cover my face and the blades of my shoulders.
I am disgustingly hideous.
My hair is a greasy, tangled mess,
I've gnawed my fingernails ragged.
He always said to "Stay beautiful and keep it ugly."
I thought I was living by what he said.
But when I met her, I learned the phrase's true meaning.
And truly living by it now, a smile graces my face.
Because I found her.
Because she is the light in my darkest of times.
Looking at myself now, I wouldn't care what I looked like,
I would gladly give up whatever little physical beauty I may have,
Just to be with her and show her I love her.
Together we can create our own beauty.
In art, music, literature and love.
Looks will never matter
As long as we stay beautiful and caring on the inside.
We Are...We have been put down and neglected for so long.More Like This
Do they not realize what they are doing to us?
Are they blind to how many of us die?
Because we just want the pain to end.
But we are not alone.
There are others like us who feel our pain.
We will stand together, strong and tall
And help each other through every obstacle thrown our way.
There have been times when all hope seems lost,
But things always get better, one way or another.
Maybe not immediately...
Though our 'foes' may taunt us,
Smother us with the poison of insults and physical beatings,
We will not back down.
We will stand up for who we are,
And we will be proud.
You may beat us, you may call us names,
But we will stand united in the end.
For ourselves, for each other, and for our fallen.
I Read Your PainYou have been hurt.More Like This
You have been beaten and you have been ridiculed.
And as I look into your eyes, I read your pain.
I read your pain as my own.
I have been down the road you're trekking.
And though the end may seem so far off,
There is always a light at the end.
I know it is easier said than done,
But you are strong.
I used to be in your position,
I knew how hard it was.
The effort to wait out the storm is worth it.
I had been hurt.
I had been beaten and ridiculed.
My eyes reflected the same pain as yours.
I read your pain as my own.
Now look at where I have ended up.
I am happy and I am living my life.
If I can do it, I know you can too.
Just let the storm pass,
And i promise you will see a rainbow when the clouds clear.
There Is A WordThere is a word,More Like This
Only four letters long,
And though from me it is rarely heard,
When I speak it, its meaning is so strong.
Many find it impossible to feel,
Especially with one the same as you.
But I am among those who believe
That sometimes it is stronger with someone like yourself.
It is more than just a word, though.
It is an emotion deeper than any ocean,
Stronger than any diamond and more pure than a dove's wing.
Some have yet to find it truly,
Some have alerady found it,
And some may never find it as long as they live.
I might have found it in her, and to her I give all of mine.
No other words I speak could be more true.
There is a word,
Only four letters long,
Spelled with an L, an O, V and E,
And this word can only begin to express how I feel for her.
She is My SanctuaryThey Don't know who I really am.More Like This
They have never met the real me.
Yet they feel they have the right to judge me?
See that girl there? She is the same as me in that respect.
She has openly proved it several times.
So why is it that she floats atop a sea of friends,
Whilst I'm drowning in the lonely undertow?
Why is it always my locker plastered with hateful messages?
Why is it the one time I decide to try and look a little nice,
I am all of a sudden a slut?
Why is all of this hatred pointed towards me?
Pondering the question, I seek my only sanctuary.
Few even know about her, yet she is my cure, my salvation.
Only with her can I be my true self.
She understands me in every way, and I, her.
And in that sanctuary with her I have learned
No one can tell you who you have to be.
No one can harm your pride if you refuse to let them.
No one is worth the pain they have put you through.
It is her that keeps my heart beating.
She is why I want to wake up every m
Geppetto SorrowGeppetto lay quietly on his bed, snuggle up under the covers. However the night did not pass like every night before hand, where he stayed cold, lonely, and had a bitterly painful ach in his heart. Now lying beside him was his son.More Like This
"My son," he breathed to himself as he stroked the boy's hair affectionately. Those words took some time to get use too, for he had never used them.
Oh how Geppetto longed for a child and now he had one! That dream he had for so long, longer than he could ever recall, had all come true in just one night. He had just finished his puppet , he wished upon the wishing star and POOF he had a son to call his own.
But it never started out that way. In fact Geppetto life before had been filled , not of warmth, but of sadness and horrific pain. Recall the memory of his sweet Rose made Geppetto grovel in despair for his lost love.
She was fine and healthy , all up to the day of her accident. That is where the grief settled upon Geppetto life.
Rose had been the girl of
