:iconbishop7: made a version of this, touched up, and with a border. I touched this one up myself, but without the border. I guess I decided to put it up.

First of all a big thanks goes to :iconblooddropcookies: for the premium membership! How awesome is she?!

Now the image... I had a request a while ago for something that must contain a lot of warm/red colours. I revisited my outback images and really liked this one but the sky was too cool so a separate image was used here for the top half. I don't usually do this (fake skies) but thought it came out cool so here it is :D

"Slick" is a custom window for Trillian Astra.

I made a custom skin for Trillian to match my desktop and I decided to share it since I don't see many skins around anyway.

All of the necessary information is in the included readme text file.

This will work with Trillian Astra, but I'm not sure about the new beta.

Enjoy!

Windows Explorer Concept 1

This concept plays around with the idea of having as much vertical space as possible, which browsers are currently competing for.

Here, the location bar has no container, until such time as the user wants to edit the current location (by typing). This allows for the navigation area to be shifted further up in the window, whilst making it easy to drag the window around.

Other modifications

Removal of the progress bar that appears in the location bar when content is being loaded, or a search is being performed. This has been replaced with a small graphic to the right of the navigation buttons. (This has also been done because Windows is somewhat inaccurate when calculating how far it is with a task.)

Because of the need to free up some space toward the top of the window, the search box has been moved into the task-bar. This is also appropriate because a search generally applies to the folder you're currently in, which is what the task-bar as a whole resembles.

The task-bar has also been split up into two sections: one for current folder actions, and another for the selected item (if any). 'Organize' has been changed to 'File' to increase familiarity.

The default folder view is now 'Content', as Explorer would display information more applicable to each item in the view, such as '139 contacts, up to date'.

Lastly, this idea has been adapted to a custom theme (see 'Attributions' below), not the default 'Aero' theme.

What do you think of this concept? Do you think it's viable? Let me know in the comments, and we'll make improvements from there.

This is based on a great photo/wallpaper on [link] called 'Grass in Rainstorm'

I edited the colors to make it look like a late summers cloudy evening image...
I like it a lot :D

I hope you enjoy it, too!

I read in :iconporbital:'s journal [link] about something new (at least new to me).

I finally took the time to do one.

This is the tutorial I found the most helpful [link]

I won't be doing a lot of these 'cause I think they're kind of a one trick pony, but I had to at least try it.

I posted a few images from this session a few months back. The Seattle winter rain storms have kept me from shooting much lately so I have been working with past projects to select a few more prints.

All of these amusement ride images were long-exposures (tripod) captured with a Nikon D80.

....and YES - the fun forest park in Seattle is scheduled to be shut down next year (sorry Jess)

But in reality, it was the feeling that killed you.

This is the same park in my original Winter Wonderland wallpaper ([link]).
The park has had new playground equipment installed and is once again, covered in snow.

Dedicated to ~juliekoesmarno.

Figured I should at least be somewhat festive around this time of year. There was no way I could photograph the balls without the Haigh's Logo apearing in some way. I don't mind though as they have damn good chocolate.

Download res is 2560 x 1600

::Update 19/12/2007::
I realised the logo was incredibly oversized. I'll thank doing it right after work while not in the right frame of mind :) Logo is now far more conservative in size. If you downloaded it already, you may want to re-download it.

Sometimes nature throws perfection at you, and if you're lucky you are able to capture it –
I made an attempt. :P

On the cable car ride to Pão de Açúcar.

It was the little details that made me want to feature this one: the lens flare, the intricacies of the cables, the mist in the mountains. I felt it showed an interesting balance between the natural and the man-made.
