I had always planned on making a night version of "Pot of Gold" but I underestimated how much trouble I would have doing it Vue d'Esprit. Most of my "glowing" work is created in Lightwave after all.

I did finally manage to create something interesting in Vue but then after nearly 5 days (!) of rendering I aborted the scene. Instead I decided it would be better all-around if I recreated the pond scene in Lightwave for my night version.

I hope you like the result!

Last night, I dreamed that I chanced upon an old abandon hut on a misty morning. Curious, I pushed open the weathered door and took a peek inside. The one thing that caught my eye was a peeling white dresser which stood at one corner of the room. I walked towards it instinctively. An old key was still lodged in the keyhole of one of the drawers. It wasn’t locked, so I pried open the drawer slowly in case something sprang out at me! Turns out it was empty. As I was about to shut the drawer, part of the back panel caught the light and I caught a glimpse of some scribbling. I pulled the drawer further out to see what it was. What I saw put a smile on my face. Although it was faded but I could make out that they were a child’s uneven writing and drawings of several stick-people. I woke up at that point and realized that I still had a smile on my face. I could imagine a little girl scribbling on a piece of wood and then perhaps daddy eventually used that piece of wood and made it into part of the dresser for the home.

This mixed media necklace was somewhat inspired by the dream. I loved that idea of the child’s “hidden message” at the back of the drawer. If I had not looked deeper, I wouldn’t have seen it. I was inspired to make a piece with a hidden message. Words that no one would see unless they look deeper. Often times, people go about their lives looking but never consciously understanding. Some messages to us are hidden, and may be hidden forever if we do not attempt to dig deeper within us or look further than what is presented before us.

This piece is an assemblage of repurpose copper, an old barrel key, a piece from an old frayed jeans, stained lace, waxed linen thread, brass and copper wires augmented by fire, Jasper beads, Star Rose Quartz, a vintage brass connector, brass findings and a Polymer Clay tube bead which I made some time back.

*the Necklace wears between 17 – 24 inches, depending on where you place the hook on the chain
*Pendant is 6 inches from PC Bead to end of fray.

*SOLD*

No 3-D modeling for this beast; mostly eyeballed it with mechanical pencil and then a ton of Photoshop hours. ¦3

Created for the Shifflett brother's sculpting competition.

Quote from competition judges -
"Janicemarie: This might have won a "Most Beautiful" if there had been such a category. So graceful. The interpretation of the belt and wings is awesome. I think of the people who were posting WIPs, this piece may have been the updates that I looked forward to most." - Brandon Shifflet

After about 5 months of planning, procrastinating, relapsing, and self awareness, the redux of the rather popular Skullcandy headphones are back and heavier than ever. Seriously, these things weigh a lot, but the detail is unparalleled compared to the first one. I didn't hold back with these and I really wanted to just innovate the idea of impractical science. All parts include: Skullcandy UPROCK Headphones, polymer clay sculptures (that I crafted), alarm clock gears, acrylic paint with a semi-gloss spray finish, 1 glass dragon eye pendant, and gear pendants. I haven't weighed the headphones yet, but it does included a battery powered Central Time Zone attuned pocket watch, and its cousin's innards on the reverse. Skullcandy has all rights to its logo, I simply modified an existing pair. The headphones do work, and and have been appraised for $145 (US). However, these are not for sale, but if you are a fan of the originals, found at this [link] , they will be for sale. I can estimate the price at around $50, but I won't know for sure. I haven't found the best way to sell them, but in the mean time, check these 1080p images I took of the new ones, and be sure to favourite or comment on what you think! ^_^

Another quick sesskag sketch. Been missing drawing them I guess. Another possible post-canon scene maybe? In which Kagome begins to feel a shift in their increasingly frequent "friendly platonic" chats.

*whispers* slow burning forbidden feelings/sexual tension is the best* Making InuKag officially together only fuels my shipping flames*What are you talking about I'm completely normal*

Once again before anyone asks:
Before anyone asks:

No I haven't forgotten about my doujinshi Raindrops.
Yes it will continue eventually.
No I don't know when. Please don't ask.
And lastly I'm going to continue to draw what I want when I want it, that includes Raindrops.

Random quick sketch of Sesshomaru/Kagome that I did last night before going to sleep. It's been a while since I've drawn these two. I imagine this might be post canon, in which they're both defending their choice about being with each other or something. maybe I'll clean it up someday.

Have trouble sleeping? Draw some shipping!

At least, that's my plan. Decided to revisit my favourite uncanon DA2 ship of Varric & Marian, after noticing that I haven't drawn them together lately.

Hopefully I can sleep easily after this =_=

More vehicle commission work for Pure Steam...! The beta is out, btw! Check the link for additional info. :D

This one went through countless revisions to try and make it more worthy of the game. Like most of my previous vehicles, this one began as a Sketchup model, but I experimented with doing it all digital. Dunno if I'll do it again; has its benefits but also takes much longer.

Process:

O, whups; and I guess this is my first upload of the new year/my 10th anniversary. Sorry it wasn't something more ...significant? ¦P

First (and maybe last) time I build a bracelet, using old watches, springs, rings, chains, etc.
I don't know if it belongs to the Steampunk or Dieselpunk categories but, I'm sure, that's a mechanical opprobrium :D

And thanks to my bro for the super macro shot :highfive:

ps. unfortunately a spring was damaged during the work.

This is my entry for this contest: [link]
being held by :iconbeautifulborders:
This is the 2nd option :)

I wanted to portray the classical beautiful lady (to enhance the art nouveau feeling) but with a touch of fantasy (to remain faithful with my taste ;) )

I looked for other non-human design in art nouveau, and I loved to draw the swirly smoke (as for the hair)
And for the flowers I was inspired by klimt design

I used the border as a wood frame because I was inspired by many lovely design from XX art deco's furnitures.

The border leaves were perfect to enhance the pagan theme
and helped me to develop the color scheme.

I loved the model face, and so I reproduced it as faithfully as possible!

I hope you like it! It took a really long time ;)
