Finally! After sooo long, here are some fresh stuff!
I actually started these for a small contest by Blizzard Entertainment for Diablo 3 but I wasn't able to finish them and only entered two. Then I realized the potential in doing high quality D3 fanart for publicity. Not only was it for good press but would also serve as a good practice for me. Then, eventually, it turned into this 3 month beast of a personal project. I actually started mid-April and finished just two days ago working on these on and off after my day-job.
My art direction was like this because I wanted a glamour/fashion/action type of full body portraits. I wanted to stay close to the original designs while giving it a little twist. Also, since Diablo 3 is a top-down type of game, seeing action and skills up close would be very interesting for the target audience. Although it was very fun to do, I actually got burnt out just because it took soo long to finish. (blame my busy day-job haha) Still, I got what I wanted and learned a ton about composition, posing, anatomy, lighting, armor designs, and most importantly, about being PATIENT and STICKING to your plan to the end.
ALSO, I have video processes of these here: [link]

I couldn't help but to set aside a few hours to put together a little something for the art contest being held for Diablo 3. I haven't had many chances to do full blown digital painting lately, so I'm a little rusty, haha... But hopefully some of the other skills I've developed the last few months made up for it!
Cover art for Jeroen Steenbeeke's Book, The Ravens End Game ! Great guy, awesome story, great characters and a fun project to work on ! This character is Sarina, she is the greatest of all "Destroyers" in the saga. The Idea was to show the power of her abilities with an orb or fire being summoned around her.
Since the first spark of creation, angels had waged the eternal conflict to defeat the forces of darkness and corruption. And Tyrael, Archangel of Justice, was among the bravest vanguard against the tide.
My entry for the BlizzCon 2011 Fan Art Contest. It's a Demon Hunter from Diablo 3, fighting a couple of Fallen Ones.
After having a look at the other fan art in Blizzard's fan art gallery, I get the feeling I don't stand a chance, hah. But I'll never win if I don't at least try, right?
Oh, and about the throwing knives... They've got fire damage, so they're actually glowing hot metal, and not cheap plastic, believe it or not. I initially wanted to do some fire effects, but it got really messy really fast, and I opted for the glowing hotness instead. I honestly don't know if that was a better choice, but there you go.
Edit: Daily Deviation! That's cool! This is when I should be making the double-D boob joke, right?
Deckard Cain and Leah had traveled around the land of Sanctuary, in search of both the knowledge of the prophecy of the return of the Prime Evils. They witnessed the wonders, lived in the wild, no matter how dire the condition was.
I just had to enter this contest! Although I haven't played Diablo III all that much, I played Diablo II a whole lot and loved it. I wasn't sure if it was allowed to use gear from the game or make my own, so I went with a middle-way and made my own version of armor from the asset page. The "getting ready for battle" criteria wasn't all that easy, but I figured you can't go wrong with some target practice before facing your foes! Personally I'm very happy with this picture, although there are so many great artists out there I don't have much of a chance. But I sure wouldn't have a chance if I didn't enter, as my sister reminded me Any feedback is welcome as always, although I probably wont have time to change anything before this contest is over But always good to hear what can be done better for next picture! (btw guys, if you can't see it, it's supposed to be a wizard heh)
