If you want to be treated like a normal person despite being 'different' in a small aspect of your life, please do not do and say things that make that small aspect define the whole of you.
Some people who claim to be gay/bi/les/trans irritate me because of this. I have a hard time 1. believing they are and 2. taking them seriously. They read as nothing but attention whores who use being gay as a fashion statement in desperate attempts to be edgy
Nothing is wrong with saying you're LGBT or being open about it either, in your artwork or your music, or whatever you so please, but as long as you have a point to it. If you want to help other people be open about themselves then that is a-perfectly-okay with me....
