I believe in deviantART. Which is to more accurately say I believe in the concept and the reality of the deviantART community.
When in contemplation of the eternal wellspring that is the deviantART project and how it has become the engine keeping my heart and mind on a full burn as I strive to be an upstanding member of the community as well as a helpful architect and eager participant in the conversation -- my thoughts inevitably settle upon my attempts to define my concept of Gratitude.

You were sprawled out on the couch of your tiny apartment feeling like you were going to die of heat. You couldn’t even bring yourself to move and call someone to see if you could crash at their place until your air conditioner was fixed. You internally cursed New York for its heat. And then Shield for stationing you here to play baby sitter to the Avengers. And yourself for declining when Tony offered to put you up in Stark Tower.
What you wouldn’t give to be there now, in its air-conditioned embrace, able to move about freely.

Shakily she raised her gun to shoot Abomination. “Get off of my man you deformed bastard!” She shot several bullets making Abomination wince and twist around to her. He threw Hulk to the ground and sneered.
He made his way over to her and she took off running. The Hulk struggled to get up. “________!”
As he opened his eyes again, he saw her bloodied body in Abomination’s hand.
Abomination looked to Hulk and said, “Say goodbye to your little girlfriend” He raised his hand and crushed your sk-
