This is a new project I'm working on for a sermon series on the life of David, focusing mostly on the books of 1 and 2 Samuel in the Bible. David the shepherd, the musician, the warrior, the lover, and king. Though he made great mistakes, he was known as the man after God's own heart. I wish I could be known for that.

I wanted to keep it really simple this time. This project is not finished yet, I want to make the typography more interesting without loosing simplicity. This image is going to be used on TV screens, so I'm thinking that the pinstripe lines might not be such a good idea. ;p

Any ideas let me know. :aww:

Dedicated as a living testimony...

Forgiving and being forgiven... unconditionally.
Particularly to one Special Lady and Great Photographer here on DA.[link]

I still faulter at it and struggle...
God know's I need plenty of forgiveness.
But It's dignity and respect due ...and Dignity and respect for all...

Whether forgiveness is ever returned or not... it's unconditional... so I bring only God's word to you so you'll know forgiveness is true.

..and that's why this work is also dedicated

“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”——Matthew 14:19

Jesus give us loaves,
the loaves for the stomach,
the loaves for the mind.
We are fed on those everyday.

Hey, so I felt like digging into the archives and dusting off this one.

Hope you guys dig it, it's Jesus doing a bit of temple spring-cleaning, righteous-wrath-style.

It's one of the pages from the Story of Jesus comic I illustrated…… whoa, over 5 years ago now, how did THAT go by so quick??
Anyway, just thought it'd be fun to post the coloured art without the lettering clogging up things.

From the book of Luke, chapter 19, verses 45-48.

P.S And yeah, I thought the way I drew his beard was pretty cool 5 years ago, but now I have regrets, shoulda' made it look less 'Tony Stark'.

P.P.S You can still order copies of the comic from here: shop.biblesociety.org.au/cgi-b…||||1&webpageopt=P&pagename=more_info.html&webpageno=1&userinfo=bd0ebc7d04cfd05a05b1378383b22c72

This drawing was a christmas present in 2015. It is the bible quote of the year 2016 and should be a consolation for this year:
The Lord says: As a mother comforts her child, I will comfort you. The Bible, Isaiah 66, 13.

I chosed a photo from the internet as reference for this drawing/quote. For I love the message of this drawing so much, I want to share it with you!

So, I was bored and took this shot using my regular amazon fire phone. Came out kind of okay. However, I know the focus should be on the feet and not the dirt. I still thought it was cool anyway. Decided to turn into something that would glorify God. Placed my church logo in there as well :)

The original "How to train your dragon"! I don't really have a name for either of these two, but I wanted to do a young earth piece this week.

Creation Today is celebrating "Question Evolution" day this week and I wanted to do a bit of artwork to celebrate on my end of it.

I've spent my years from college on researching the debate of origins and am finding myself more and more convinced of the creationist account. I've sought out seminars, debates, lectures, and presentations from PHG's from a variety of fields that have found themselves on the unpopular side of the debate. Long story short, I believe that the young earth creationist side of the debate holds the most water (Noah pun intended), but I won't go into any debates here. DeviantArt is a place for artwork and I've learned a long, long time ago that internet debates are fruitless. I have friends that subscribe to evolutionism, I have creationist friends, and I have friends on the fence. A disagreement doesn't mean that I don't love them or respect them. I shrug at pictures of feathered dinos and half-monkey people and move on. I'm sure my evolutionist or humanist friends and followers will do the same. It's what grown-ups do! I am a dummy!

For those interested, have some resources!
Dr.Don Patton - The record in the rocks
Dr. Dennis Swift - Ica Stone Expert
Hugh Ross, Ken Ham, Ray Comfort, John Bloom, Sean McDowell, & Eric Hovind - The age of creation

I would also recommend checking out Creation Today and their resources as well. :3 They link to a lot of really good resources, experts, and videos as well.

As much as I hate doing it, I will be blocking comments. I simply don't have the energy or desire to engage anyone over the net in a debate. There's plenty of people far more qualified than I am to debate, and I'm more than willing to do so in person. Internet debates turn into a google war of links and accusations of source-bias so...yeah. XD;

What fortune lies beyond the stars?
Those dazzling heights too vast to climb
I climbed so high to fall so far,
but I found Heaven has love swept low.

My heart beating, my soul breathing,
I found my life, when I laid it down
Upward falling, spirit soaring,
I touch the sky - when my knees hit the ground

-"Touch the Sky" - Hillsong United

www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1RQci…

Few things can absolutely awe me like a night sky can. I got a window seat on the flight to Vegas for a weekend trip. I loved watching all the city lights from above! It was so beautiful! But I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't see many stars... So I put on Hillsong's album "Empires" and feel asleep for a bit.
I woke up to my favorite song "Touch the Sky" (too perfect) - I open my eyes and immediately my jaw drops, i nearly knocked my face against the window! I'd never seen such a sight before. We were high above the cloud cover , it looked like a silver ocean of mist, cities were only tiny dots below... And above us a deep blue sky with so, so, soooo many stars. I was stunned. Such a beautiful masterpiece.
These are the times no one can ever tell me God doesn't exist. I just stared out the window soaking it in.... The only thing that could have made it more perfect wouldve been a shooting star... I sound like such a child, but I'd never seen one before! Not 5mins later one went streaking across the sky. I teared up, ... I was so happy. These are the little, beautiful, things in life. I was so sad when the plane started to descend, I could've stared at that sight forever.

just a quick one before i get caught up in the rush of things again ^^

I created this with my husband in mind because our hearts overflow with so much love for each other. :tighthug:  7 years of marriage and we are even more enamored with each other than the year before.  God has been really good to us.  Aww, mushy stuff!!!

Then I thought I would share it with my friends on DeviantArt in case someone wanted to use it for a Christian version of the Valentine Exchange. :D :love:  I hope you enjoy!  This is also instagram size if you want to download and share. :happybounce:

Oil on canvas panel, 20" x 24"

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.”     Revelation 22:12

This is more of a parabolic depiction of the coming of Christ, using the imagery of a medieval king riding out at the head of his knights, than a literal depiction of the parousia. Hopefully it conveys the idea well enough.

IT'S FINALLY DONE UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH

I've been wanting to do this literally since I started following Christ and this thing just took so long and so much work and so much thinking and so much praying and- UGH

....

But it's done! And that's what matters! Thanks to the Lord!

I know my background-things are not good quq but I was in such a hurry to finish this.... pardon that

Ok, story time. When I converted to Christ, it was during an event outside my town. The thing I struggled with THE MOST for the couple of days after I took the decision to follow the Lord was that I though "There's NO WAY IN THE WORLD I'll be able to keep it up..." I was really sad because I didn't think I could stop sinning, cause I loved it a lot.

But God -as merciful as always- sent this BEAUTIFUL passage of the Scriptures to me (via predication) and it just raised my faith so much, that I geniunely decided I would do as much as I could to stop insulting the Lord... and here I am now.

There are so many more ideas I want to draw, so many other passages that could help my watchers and followers on Tumblr and dA to lift their eyes to Jesus.... but I decided this verses are special to me, God, through them, helped me gain confindence over my decisions, which led to a rain of blessings. Now that this is over I can finally start with more ideas!

Bless all of you!

"Clade: Snailsquids (Ammonoidea)
Family: Mackerel Snailsquid (Placenticeratidae)
Scientific name: Halophiloceras lafayettei
Area of occurence: Five small salt lakes in midwestern New Texas
Size: Up to 0.5 meters long

Eons ago, the Western Interior Seaway began to shrink. As its shallow waters receded, they left behind isolated lakes and ponds, which promptly evaporated in the hot subtropical sun. But some remained, fed by rivers from the interior and drained by the cruel heat of the sun. With nowhere to go, the salt from the ancient sea remained, salinity increasing ever so slowly as the rivers washed dissolved rocks into the lakes. Soon, they were far too salty for anything to live in them except for brine flies and extremophile bacteria. Fish, squid, and reptiles bit the dust as the osmotic pressure eventually burst their cells, leaving behind a slew of empty puddles of saltwater.

Almost empty, that is. One species survived this gradual increase in salinity. Five isolated lakes, located in an unrelentingly hot valley in midwestern New Texas, are populated by quite possibly the most remarkable cephalopod in the world. The biggest of these lakes is known locally as the "Devil's Bathtub," and it is this lake that has lent its name to the Devil's Bathtub Snailsquid, an Ammonite expressly adapted to survive in extremely high levels of salinity.

How they manage this osmotic feat isn't clear; Its known that other Snailsquid around the world are quite tolerant of differences in salinity, far more so than other cephalopods. In any case, the Devil's Bathtub Snailsquid is quite unique; no other cephalopod comes close to matching its tolerance for high salinity levels. It is so specialized, in fact, that individuals exposed to normal seawater will die within minutes.

Though the transparent young feed on bacterial mats and brine shrimp, Devil's Bathtub Snailsquid eat nothing but brine flies as adults. The swarming green insects are ubiquitous around the lakeshores, feeding on the mats of similarly green halophilic bacteria that cover the rocks in sunlit waters. It is this strange green pigment of the bacteria that gives the Snailsquid its hue; the flies eat the bacteria, and the Snailsquid eat the flies, excreting the deep green into its own tissues. Everything about this creature is green, even its eggs and internal organs; It is thought that this pigment might have something to do with their uncanny tolerance for salt, though this is unverified.

Like all mollusks, Devil's Bathtub Snailsquid excrete a layer of Nacre into their shells which can coat the surface of an irritant to produce a shining pearl. Unlike other mollusks, however, this Snailsquid's nacre- and thus its pearls- is a deep forest green. Their rarity and unusual colour means that pearls from this animal are extraordinarily popular as jewellery. Only one in a hundred Snailsquid have a pearl in them at any time; of these, only one in a thousand is of any value. The enormous demand for Snailsquid pearls has resulted in tremendous overfishing, so that the Devil's Bathtub Snailsquid was driven to extinction in two of the lakes it inhabits and almost extirpated in the other three; Only concerted conservation efforts and the establishment of artificial pearl farms have managed to save this unique mollusk from the brink of extinction. Though they have been reintroduced to the other two lakes, they are still threatened, and it will be many years before their population is as high as it was in the past."

Once I did some greyscales for :icoantique-unicorn: and recently I found out that I never submitted this one - one I really liked from the very beginning :la:

I decided to not submit it simply as a black and white as the other ones (you may see here aomori.deviantart.com/art/Unic…) but to try and colour it by myself. I actually never work like that, with shadows, highlight and base colour on separate layers and it was really awkward to change my habits... but after few minutes I got so much fun with this :) This way of separating shadows from the base colour gave me an opportunity to play with colours with such an ease. In the end I added few strictly painterly layers above the others to add final touches here and there but still the result is very different than my other artworks. At least I feel so. I hope you'll find it interesting to look at <3

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Love! The last pic of this mini series.

We are called to love others because God loves us. Besides, he even sacrificed his son Jesus so that we could be saved and have eternal life. What greater love is there than that of God's? The bible says:

"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

We are even supposed to love those that we don't like. But then again, wouldn't it be better to return a nasty comment or bad treatment with love?

Lets do our best to love God, Christ, and others, and put others over ourselves through kindness and generosity.

I also want to love others by giving through my art, but I sometimes have difficulty with this because my pride gets in the way. I'm going to pray that my pride can melt away.

And one last Kutless song -u-:
[link]

"You traded your life for mine."

Thank you all of my watchers and people who look at my art, I'm so blessed to know such kind people on here, and I pray that all of you may do your best in your walk of life and art as well. God bless~

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

And now for part 2 of this little series: Hope! :D

I have hope because of Christ, because he died on the cross for all the believers of the world. I have hope because through him, my sins are forgiven. Every believer has hope because of this. I also have hope through Christ when his second coming occurs, because:

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

That's why I drew clocks, because even when the world passes away, whatever time or day it occurs, I have hope in Christ that I will be saved and that I will be with him for eternity with other believers, the angels, and of course God.

Is Jesus your personal savior? Do you have a relationship with him and God? If you do, good for you! ^^ If you don't and would like to, please tell me so we can bring Jesus into your life together! Its very easy! ^^

And here's another song by Kutless because He "Just wants to be with you":

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Hi! I wanted to work on some more biblically based drawings so I thought I would do some traditional drawings ^^ This one is based on "faith".

I have faith in God, that he will lead my life and that his teachings are true. I want to do my best to keep my faith strong, because his faith is a gift. Faith means that I trust God, that his ways are right. I may stumble sometimes, but I always want to get back on my feet and keep trusting in him, that he is leading my future.

The little yellow grains in the picture represent mustard seeds, for:

"He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

A mustard seed is a very tiny seed. Imagine being so small and weak but having such a great amount of faith as to move mountains. With Jesus, nothing is impossible. Believe in God, dream big, and have faith as a mustard seed.

Also, this is a very nice song about faith ^^

So nice and inspirational :>

Hope you enjoy! I'll keep doing my best for God ^^
