I like this a lot I called it Mystical aura cause it had aura and mystical look, to me. it kind of looks like it is off to one side right! but this is how I made it I put it on my desktop and lined all my icons on the left side of it. so the rest could be seen and it looked totally cool but you may resize or corp it to where you like. I don't mind but I like it the way it is. Enjoy!

This is a new project I'm working on for a sermon series on the life of David, focusing mostly on the books of 1 and 2 Samuel in the Bible. David the shepherd, the musician, the warrior, the lover, and king. Though he made great mistakes, he was known as the man after God's own heart. I wish I could be known for that.

I wanted to keep it really simple this time. This project is not finished yet, I want to make the typography more interesting without loosing simplicity. This image is going to be used on TV screens, so I'm thinking that the pinstripe lines might not be such a good idea. ;p

Any ideas let me know. :aww:

Dedicated as a living testimony...

Forgiving and being forgiven... unconditionally.
Particularly to one Special Lady and Great Photographer here on DA.[link]

I still faulter at it and struggle...
God know's I need plenty of forgiveness.
But It's dignity and respect due ...and Dignity and respect for all...

Whether forgiveness is ever returned or not... it's unconditional... so I bring only God's word to you so you'll know forgiveness is true.

..and that's why this work is also dedicated

“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”——Matthew 14:19

Jesus give us loaves,
the loaves for the stomach,
the loaves for the mind.
We are fed on those everyday.

Hey, so I felt like digging into the archives and dusting off this one.

Hope you guys dig it, it's Jesus doing a bit of temple spring-cleaning, righteous-wrath-style.

It's one of the pages from the Story of Jesus comic I illustrated…… whoa, over 5 years ago now, how did THAT go by so quick??
Anyway, just thought it'd be fun to post the coloured art without the lettering clogging up things.

From the book of Luke, chapter 19, verses 45-48.

P.S And yeah, I thought the way I drew his beard was pretty cool 5 years ago, but now I have regrets, shoulda' made it look less 'Tony Stark'.

P.P.S You can still order copies of the comic from here: shop.biblesociety.org.au/cgi-b…||||1&webpageopt=P&pagename=more_info.html&webpageno=1&userinfo=bd0ebc7d04cfd05a05b1378383b22c72

This is an illustration that I did for our flyers at my church here at school. I was aiming for a sepia tone and I'm pretty pleased with it. I hope the Lord is too

This is compositionally based off of another picture I saw. It's about how Christ is the the Good Sheperd who will leave his other 99 sheep out in the pasture and go searching for the one lost one (100 sheep total). In John 10:11 Jesus says,"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep." That's how much he values each one.

'Cause He makes my life.
He can break my life.
He can shake my life.
If He want to... He can take my... He can take my life!

- Jason "J'son" Watson

Since the crucifixion of Christ, more than 43 million Christians have been killed for their faith. (Countless more have and continue to be persecuted in a "non-lethal" fashion with a wide spectrum of consequences.) However the vast majority of men who are walking this earth, serving the One True God will never have the privilege of dying for the faith. It is not their allotment. Some of us may never even face a physical threat for the great Hope we have. But are you willing? Do we live day by day, moment by moment, with the mentality that our lives already belong to Him, and if He required it, if He wanted to take it, we would freely lay our lives down at His feet in service of Him; in honor of Him. For His glory.

Today, approximately 10% of the 2 billion Christians in the world suffer persecution on a perceptible and distinguishable scale. That's 200 million in at least 60 countries who are denied fundamental human rights solely because of their faith. The lyrics featured in this piece are an excerpt (my favorite part) of a song made in tribute to our brothers and sister magnifying our King in this fashion, living daily under these circumstances. It's also a wake up call for so many of us whom this is highly uncommon for.

Have a listen.

And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Matt. 10:39-39

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

I made this stamp to encourage other Christians to study this topic more.

The question of ‘how do you know the bible is true?’ seems to pop out a lot. There are a different ways to research and prove the truth of scripture so study up, that way you’ll be “…ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Peter 3:15)

I always like to start with Answers in genesis, they have great study material for this topic and others, and lots of references on their articles.

I found an article in that site that has a review about the truth of scripture, it doesn’t go on in-depth detail but it gives you an idea on how to approach the topic.

Seven Compelling Evidences Confirm the Bible Is True

:bulletred: 1. God’s character

If we turn to the Bible as our highest authority in every area (including how we defend the Bible itself!), we will discover that we can appeal to no greater authority than God Himself. If we had to appeal to another authority to prove what God said, then God wouldn’t be our ultimate authority.

:bulletred: 2. Claims of divine authorship

:bulletred: 3. Unity of the bible

:bulletred: 4. Fulfilled Prophesy

:bulletred: 5. Scientific Accuracy

:bulletred: 6. Archeological Finds

:bulletred: 7. Life Changing Power

My Favorite two are Scientific Accuracy and Archaeological finds. Most of these people, stories, and places non-believers said that they didn't exist…until archaeologists (and non-archaeologists) found them.

I’m going to share a few general things about them from the article I found and some other articles.

Archeological Finds:

Dead Sea Scrolls
---Over two hundred scrolls were portions of the Bible itself, dated 250 BC–AD 68.
---Every Old Testament book except Esther was represented.
---Many of these ancient scrolls closely match the Masoretic Text tradition, which modern Hebrew and English Bibles are based upon, confirming the Old Testament text has been faithfully preserved for all these centuries.

The Tel Dan Stele (900–850 BC)
---Carved on its stone face is the expression, “House of David.”

The Meesha Stele (846 BC)
---Popularly known as the Moabite Stone, it records the revolt of Meesha, King of Moab, against Israel (2 Kings 3:5).
---This incredible stele mentions Omri (1 Kings 16:23-28), King of Israel, and David of the United Monarchy. It even refers to Yahweh, the unique name of the God of Israel!

Pilate
---Pilate (John 18:38) Dedication Stone was found in Caesarea.  It reads: “Tiberieum, (Pon)tius Pilatus, (Praef)ectus Iuda(eae).”
---The John Rylands papyrus (AD 125) records part of the trial before Pilate, fragments of which are recorded in John 18:31-33, 37-38.

Sumerians
---The 'Sumerian King List' lists kings who reigned for long periods of time. Then a great Flood came. Following the Flood, Sumerian kings ruled for much shorter periods of time. This is the same pattern found in the Bible.
---Sumerian tablets record the confusion of language as we have in the Biblical account of the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9). There was a golden age when all mankind spoke the same language. The Babylonians had a similar account in which the gods destroyed a temple tower and “scattered them abroad and made strange their speech.”

The Nazareth Inscription
---The Nazareth Inscription is a marble tablet with Greek writing and of course there is still much debate going on about this.
--- One of the theories: The inscription is likely an abbreviated form of an edict (called a rescript) issued by Claudius in response to the story of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.
---In just fourteen brief lines this rescript explains a new law carrying capital punishment for anyone who would move a body from graves or tombs to another place with wicked intent.
---The Nazareth Inscription does not prove that Jesus rose from the dead, but it is consistent with the biblical accounts.

Recorded History

---Campaign into Israel by Pharaoh Shishak (1 Kings 14:25-26), recorded on the walls of the Temple of Amun in Thebes, Egypt.
---Fall of Samaria (2 Kings 17:3-6, 24; 18:9-11) to Sargon II, King of Assyria, as recorded on his palace walls.
---Defeat of Ashdod by Sargon II (Isaiah 20:1), as recorded on his palace walls.
---Campaign of the Assyrian king Sennacherib against Judah (2 Kings 18:13-16), as recorded on the Taylor Prism (discovered among the ruins of Nineveh).
---Siege of Lachish by Sennacherib (2 Kings 18:14, 17), as recorded on the Lachish reliefs.
---Assassination of Sennacherib by his own sons (2 Kings 19:37), as recorded in the annals of his son Esarhaddon.
---Fall of Nineveh as predicted by the prophets Nahum and Zephaniah (Zephaniah 2:13-15), recorded on the Tablet of Nabopolasar.

Burial sites
---Ossuary of Caiaphas the High Priest
---The tomb of Cyrus: he ruled the Persian Empire from 559-530 B.C
---Darius I was king of the Persian Empire from 522-486 B.C His is the first of three monumental tombs cut into a cliff near the Persian capital of Persepolis, Iran.

Found places
--- The city of Jericho
---The palace at Jericho where Eglon, King of Moab, was assassinated by Ehud (Judges 3:15-30).
---The east gate of Shechem where Gaal and Zebul watched the forces of Abimelech approach the city (Judges 9:34-38).
---The Temple of Baal/El-Berith in Shechem, where funds were obtained to finance Abimelech's Kingship, and where the citizens of Shechem took refuge when Abimelech attacked the city (Judges 9:4, 46-49).
---The pool of Gibeon where the forces of David and Ishbosheth fought during the struggle for the kingship of Israel (2 Samuel 2:12-32)
---The pool of Heshbon, likened to the eyes of the Shulammite woman (Songs of songs 7:4).
---The royal palace at Samaria where the kings of Israel lived (1 Kings 20:43; 21:1, 2; 22:39; 2 Kings 1:2; 15:25).
---The royal palace in Babylon where King Belshazzar held the feast and Daniel interpreted the handwriting on the wall (Daniel 5).
---The royal palace in Susa where Esther was queen of the Persian king Xerxes (Esther 1:2; 2:3, 5, 9, 16).
---The royal gate at Susa where Mordecai, Esther's cousin, sat (Esther 2:19, 21; 3:2, 3; 4:2; 5:9, 13; 6-10, 12).

Scientific Accuracy:

Even though the bible is not a science textbook…

Astronomy
---Stars are innumerable (Genesis 22:17; Jeremiah 33:22)
---Stars differ in glory (1 Corinthians 15:41)
---Stars follow a predictable pattern (Jeremiah 31:35)
---Earth is round, not flat (Isaiah 40:22)
---Earth hangs on nothing (not built on pillars) (Job 26:7)
---Universe Expansion (Isaiah 40:22)
---Scientific evidence of a young universe:
1) Spiral galaxies
2) “Missing” supernova remnants
3) Short-lived comets
4) Moon moving away from Earth

Geology
---Water cycle (Ecclesiastes 1:7; Isaiah 55:10)
---Sea currents (Psalms 8:8)
---“Fountains of the deep broken up” (Genesis 7:11)
---Scientific evidence of a young earth:
1) Continents erode too fast
2) Too much mud on the sea floor
3) Too much sodium in the ocean
4) Too rapid decay of earth’s magnetic field

Biology
---Value of blood (Leviticus 17:11)
--- Biogenesis (Genesis 1:21)
---Scientific evidence of a recent creation:
1) DNA programming for irreducibly complex protein sequences
2) Lack of missing links in the fossil record
3) Dinosaur blood vessels in fossils

Physics
---The weight of air (Job 28:25)

Meteorology
---Circulation of the atmosphere (Ecclesiastes 1:6)

Non-Christian Historians and non-biblical sources

Cornelius Tacitus (Roman historian)

"Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberious at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and amost mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their center and become popular". (Tacitus, Annals, vol. 15, The Complete Works of Tacitus, ed. Moses Hadas (New York: Random House, 1942), 44.)

Suetonius
 (Roman historian)

---During the reign of Emperor Claudius: “Because the Jews at Rome caused continuous disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus, he expelled them from the city.” (Suetonius, Claudius, 25, quoted in Habermas, The Historical Jesus, 191.)
---This historical fact fits with Luke’s statement in Acts 18:2

Julius Africanus

---“On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down.  This darkness Thallus, in the third book of his History, calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse of the sun.” (Julius Africanus, Extant Writings, XVIII in The Ante–Nicene Fathers, ed. by Alexander Roberts and James Donaldson (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1973), vol. VI, p. 130, as cited in Gary R. Habermas, The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ, (Joplin, MO: College Press Publishing Company), 1996.)
--- This historical fact fits with Luke 23:44-45

The Talmud:

"On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged.  For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy.  Any one who can say anything in his favor, let him come forward and plead on his behalf."  But since nothing was brought forward in his favor he was hanged on the eve of the Passover!" (
The Babylonian Talmud, transl. by I. Epstein (London: Soncino, 1935), vol. III, Sanhedrin 43a, p. 281 as cited in Habermas, Gary R., The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ, (Joplin, MO: College Press Publishing Company) 1996.)
--- This historical fact fits with Gal 3:13 and Luke 22:1-2

My purpose with this stamp is NOT debate, but encouragement to do research

Let Your eyes be my eyes
So I can see the good in everyone
So I can see things from a better perspective
So I can admire the hidden beauty in this world

Let Your ears be my ears
So I can listen to others' concerns
So I can hear what needs to be said
So I can understand

Let Your lips be my lips
So I can speak words of life and hope
So I only have kind things to say
So I can smile and laugh

Let Your mind be my mind
So that I don’t judge others
So that I don’t dwell on dark thoughts
So that I have optimism and faith

Let Your hands be my hands
So I can hold people in my arms
So I can help the broken
So I can give all I have

Let Your heart be my heart
So I can love others unconditionally
So I have a desire to heal the hurt
So I have a yearning to do what is right

Let Your love be my love
Let Your life be my life
Another poem that popped in my mind while at school. I truly want the mind and heart of Christ. I don't want to havce selfish motives anymore. God bless, my friends.

Ask if you want to use this poem. Thanks~

Oil on canvas panel, 20" x 24"

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.”     Revelation 22:12

This is more of a parabolic depiction of the coming of Christ, using the imagery of a medieval king riding out at the head of his knights, than a literal depiction of the parousia. Hopefully it conveys the idea well enough.

IT'S FINALLY DONE UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH

I've been wanting to do this literally since I started following Christ and this thing just took so long and so much work and so much thinking and so much praying and- UGH

....

But it's done! And that's what matters! Thanks to the Lord!

I know my background-things are not good quq but I was in such a hurry to finish this.... pardon that

Ok, story time. When I converted to Christ, it was during an event outside my town. The thing I struggled with THE MOST for the couple of days after I took the decision to follow the Lord was that I though "There's NO WAY IN THE WORLD I'll be able to keep it up..." I was really sad because I didn't think I could stop sinning, cause I loved it a lot.

But God -as merciful as always- sent this BEAUTIFUL passage of the Scriptures to me (via predication) and it just raised my faith so much, that I geniunely decided I would do as much as I could to stop insulting the Lord... and here I am now.

There are so many more ideas I want to draw, so many other passages that could help my watchers and followers on Tumblr and dA to lift their eyes to Jesus.... but I decided this verses are special to me, God, through them, helped me gain confindence over my decisions, which led to a rain of blessings. Now that this is over I can finally start with more ideas!

Bless all of you!

Two "PinUps" to my good friend cerebus873, who has given me total creative freedom when I comes to drawing She Hulk. I love to draw beads and add much detail the clothes, so I have spent it frankly good doing these commissions.
By the way, I made today some arrangements in my blog, there you can find sketches, inkings, and some other things.

This picture was done as a commission for a high school, and the woman in charge was one of the nicest clients I've had. :) The original has different colors and text, but I like to keep the original commission just for the client. :) They wanted to use the previous sabre-tooth I'd made, but that commission belongs to someone else.
I had a lot of fun drawing this, and it paid for part of my new computer.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Love! The last pic of this mini series.

We are called to love others because God loves us. Besides, he even sacrificed his son Jesus so that we could be saved and have eternal life. What greater love is there than that of God's? The bible says:

"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

We are even supposed to love those that we don't like. But then again, wouldn't it be better to return a nasty comment or bad treatment with love?

Lets do our best to love God, Christ, and others, and put others over ourselves through kindness and generosity.

I also want to love others by giving through my art, but I sometimes have difficulty with this because my pride gets in the way. I'm going to pray that my pride can melt away.

And one last Kutless song -u-:
[link]

"You traded your life for mine."

Thank you all of my watchers and people who look at my art, I'm so blessed to know such kind people on here, and I pray that all of you may do your best in your walk of life and art as well. God bless~

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

And now for part 2 of this little series: Hope! :D

I have hope because of Christ, because he died on the cross for all the believers of the world. I have hope because through him, my sins are forgiven. Every believer has hope because of this. I also have hope through Christ when his second coming occurs, because:

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

That's why I drew clocks, because even when the world passes away, whatever time or day it occurs, I have hope in Christ that I will be saved and that I will be with him for eternity with other believers, the angels, and of course God.

Is Jesus your personal savior? Do you have a relationship with him and God? If you do, good for you! ^^ If you don't and would like to, please tell me so we can bring Jesus into your life together! Its very easy! ^^

And here's another song by Kutless because He "Just wants to be with you":

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Hi! I wanted to work on some more biblically based drawings so I thought I would do some traditional drawings ^^ This one is based on "faith".

I have faith in God, that he will lead my life and that his teachings are true. I want to do my best to keep my faith strong, because his faith is a gift. Faith means that I trust God, that his ways are right. I may stumble sometimes, but I always want to get back on my feet and keep trusting in him, that he is leading my future.

The little yellow grains in the picture represent mustard seeds, for:

"He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

A mustard seed is a very tiny seed. Imagine being so small and weak but having such a great amount of faith as to move mountains. With Jesus, nothing is impossible. Believe in God, dream big, and have faith as a mustard seed.

Also, this is a very nice song about faith ^^

Hey guys! So here's a little treat for you :D this is a mini comic I did as my final for Photocopy Zines last semester. I decided to do an autobiography zine. At first I was really nervous and thought "this is too personal, I can't do this," but in the end I'm happy I did do it. This is basically a testimony/little bits of my life in a nutshell, so I hope you guys will enjoy it!

Also, I now have an instagram! I'm mostly going to use it as a personal photo blog, so you can see WIP's/photos from my daily life. Feel free to follow me there: instagram.com/keikokup/

Thanks for reading! Sorry I haven't been responding to messages as quickly lately, I'm super busy. I will respond once I get the chance to. Hope you enjoy, and God bless <3

I guess Moses is the opposite of Gandalf then.

The theme for my 2nd day of the Facebook Illustration challenge was Floods + Bible, because my city had a bad flood recently.
