collage.

i see that the woman is stepping out of one world to another, or at least making some sort of dramatic change.  there was a scene  in "stargate (the film) " that made me think of this.

i wonder what she looks like...is the waterfall a portal   to the busy human world? so many questions!

Offered by request. =)

Here's the Rain Texture I made for my image Rainfall Sorry about the size, I would have made it bigger but I took it straight from the .PSD from Rainfall. :P

For a light rain, set it on screen over your image, go to Brightness/Contrast and put the brightness up and contrast down, then adjust the opacity to your liking.

For a heavier rain, set it on screen over your image, go to Brightness/Contrast and put the brightness down and the contrast up, then adjust the opacity to your liking.

Hope you enjoy it!

Download for full-size.

In bottom, a map of the United States which dates 1886 (of or the title); this picture took me hours of accurate work to make correctly all the windows and everything and everything..... In brief, the result is enough impressionant vra, it's a pity whether it is or it is today....

Hello there!

This one of my latest adventures on the tradigital universe (or, traditional drawing/painting with digital finishing). I decided to experiment a bit more, and little by little I can feel that I'm on the way to find something interesting to develop further. Graphite, acrylics and gouache on Fabriano 300gms, digital.

Have an incredible/amazing/unforgetable/uplifting 2011, and beyond!
Abraços.

Just a little light headed fun after some dark and maybe gloomy pictures of Slussen. See recent journal.

Charites, known in Greek mythology as The Three Graces, goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity. In Roman mythology they were known as the Gratiae.

Re use of the re used!

Many years ago I partly covered up a bust made of plaster with the letter X. I had stolen (or re used) this idea from Jiri Kolar. [link] Some weeks ago I made a photograph at the home of its owner. Hm – I said to my sef maybe I can do something with this. I could and I did!

So I re used the pic "three for the festival" [link] and wrapped in round the whole thing. Which makes the 3-bust sort of flat – and strange because it still casts a shadow. In the last pic of the trio
I re used the pic Autumn. [link] But here I covered up only the bust and left the base untouched. Here The base, the shadows and even the cover of material hint three dimensionality – but no flat, flat, flat. It is inetersting to observe how the cover up pictures totally change the form of the bust.

Welcome to see me and Kathrin Diestel's show on Endstation [link] 24/6 - 22/7
Endstation is the name of a big art exhibition taking place in an old Hospital just outside Bonn, Germany.

Wahrheit usw means, as you might have guessed, the thruth and so on. The show is a about a hospital, St. Joseph. The pictures presented are from the archives of the hospital!

St Joseph Krankenhaus is just a tiny part of the creation, a miniscule measure of our universe, a true world within a much bigger one, a microcosm of all material existence, time and space; concepts and beliefs, the very cosmos itself. St. J. is an institution that harbours all follies, all illusions, all truths possible. Even maladies! Or as they say at St, Joseph: Everything is possible!

Illness and madness are rarely cherished qualities. Nevertheless these unfortunate conditions can be instrumental in lifting the veil from our earthly soil so the spirit of cosmos can shine like the beloved sun that warms our bodies on cold winter mornings. But don't get us wrong, to the brave and maybe slightly mad doctors of St Joseph there were no contradictions. Fot them the distance between soul and soil was short, not even measurable. Juggling the opposites was at the very core of the thinking and practice of the hospital. Gay science! Many heartfelt and healthy laughters could be heard in the hallways of St Joseph. In the little hospital chapel just behind the main entrance each sermon was ended with the short phrase: so, let us laugh!

Once again: have a nice summer!

This poster of a dancer was photographed at Hornstull, Stockholm, Sweden. Hornstul have been a buidling site for quite some time now, and the posters there have not not been changed for a year or so, so this one was very dusty dirty and even muddy. I cleaned this one up a bit, took away all text, put on a new tutu from the very same photograph i found on the net.

The numbers on the left must have written down by a construction worker, but the looked good so I kept them as the were. I am not quite sure who has the copyright here. I will talk the original photographer one day to see what she thinks. Anyway I kind of liked my version. Call me Dusty if you like!

I have not been around much on DA lately. Dont know why, but today it rains and and in a few days I will go abroad and be away for more tha six weeks. So this is my hallo goodbye to you all on DA. Have a really good summer!

Right now I am working on a project about a made up German hospital, its patients and doctors etc. The project is collaboration between me and Kathrin Diestel. [link] Some of the artworks are supposedly made by the patients in the art therapy sessions.

I changed to title from "four feet are better than two" two "twisted sister" suggested by [link]
Thanks also to Manon for good Ideas!

Se also Up Side Down [link] för a similar approach to legs!

Some are mad and some have other injuries. my aim is to make them look old and and non digital. It is great fun to be mad in art. As long as it is (con) temporary.

Body injuries – well I had my share – but I am getting better every day! The project will be presented in an abandoned hospital in Bonn this summer!
