The first sunlight reaches the Bastei Bridge and the mountain tops of the Elbe Sandstone Massif on a wonderful morning in autumn (mountains from left to right: Papenstein, Gorisch, Lilienstein, Pfaffenstein, Königstein).
After several days of unsuccessful storm chase with a friend, we finally witness this great sunset with a very intense golden light, five days ago. The sky here is made of decaying anvils coming from storms further at south.

Dandenong Ranges. A shot from this mornings adventure through the Dandenong Ranges to enjoy the first snow of the winter. The fog was so thick at one point you could hardly see your own feet! really rather dangerous driving around a mountain in such conditions but loving every bit of it
And yes there was plently of snow..how convenient that my camera died
This was the first time we met the bridge that would have many clothing shoots done on it in Cape Lookout State Park. This was taken the same morning as the "Golden Grove". It was a wonderful location with many nice angles for photography!

O gather up the brokenness and bring it to me now, The fragrance of those promises you never dared to vow, The splinters that you carry, the cross you've left behind, Come, healing of the body, come, healing of the mind.
The fields across which I walk to reach my favourite woods, frost and transformative fog.

Six frames. Fuji FinePix S9600. ISO-80, f/8, 1/60 sec.
Very pleased with this one: for once, got everything right in-camera and on-tripod. Loaded the images into pano software, hit stitch then save, and that was it - didn't have to crop/level/anything. Couple of enhancements in Lightroom and done. Captured exactly what I wanted as well.
There is something just magically about standing in a foggy forest, with one one around and looking up at these giants towering over. I loved the texture of the branches sticking out of the trunks as they reached toward infinity. Warp speed Mr Sulu*!
