DetentionFred Weasley sat in Professor Longbottom's office with his cousin James. After writing so many lines, his callused hands were beginning to get cramped.More Like This
Why do Fred and James have detention you ask? Well, it started in Divination, where they were going over their dreams journals. The boys thought this class was a load of hooey and they would much rather be zooming around the Quidditch pitch, covering in mud from head to toe. But the things was Divination was snooze and cruise course, and they were not going to give up a rare good grade to piles of homework they would receive had they taken Arithmancy.
But back to the dream journals. James's father Harry Potter had mentioned that back in his days at Hogwarts Ron and him simply made up dreams. Fred's favorite was the one about flying monkeys and a jar of peanut butter.
It didn't take much consideration, because not long after that the boys were following in their families' footsteps. Just yesterday Fred and James were sitting at a table i

I sat in my windowsill, stroking my owl Sultry's head, while I read ahead in my Advanced Potions for Fifth Years. It was getting late and everyone was heading to bed. As my peers returned to the dormitory and fell asleep I always found myself sitting alone in the Common room, cursing my insomnia. Tonight being no exception. Tonight I was sitting here instead of finding a seat by the fireplace downstairs. About a month ago Scorpius had broken up with my cousin, Rosie, and she was still devastated. Besides is being near her birthday and a mere month away from Valentine's Day she had thought they were meant to be. She refused to eat in the Great Hall and avoided seeing him if at all possible. She had one class with him and apparently came in last and sat as far away as possible then left three minutes before the class got out so as to avoid him. At first she came to me for advice and help but quickly came to loath me.
"Scorpius said he didn't love me, that he loved someone else, but I kno

"Lily Luna Potter." A rich, melodic voice whispered in her ear. Lily whirled around and bumped into the dark skinned boy she had ran into a couple days ago. "Oh!" She exclaimed.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He chuckled. "I just wanted to properly introduce myself."
"Uh.." Lily stuttered it out.
"My name is Dwayne Zabini." Dwayne lifted her hand to his lips.
She blushed, "I'm Lily."
Dwayne grinned at her, his white teeth flashing. "I know who you are. How could I not know the only daughter of the famous Harry Potter." He noticed her sour look and laughed.
"Sorry." Lily apologized, "But I hate it when people know me as just the daughter of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Or the little sister of Albus. genius and head boy, or the little sister of James Potter, school hero and captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team 3 years in a row!"
"I completely understand." Dwayne said, "I hate being judged as a cruel, arrogant Slytherin."
"Most Slytherins are cruel and arrogant." Lil
The SortingThe slight, read-headed girl tugged on a friendship bracelet around her wrist. Her cousin, Rose Weasley, has made it for her over the summer. It was scarlet and gold, the colors of her preferred house: Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart. It was and exhilarating image; she imagined herself with a sword in one hand, a wand in the other, battling a fearsome dragon.More Like This
Of course, she had always imagined that she would be sorted into Gryffindor. Her parents, grandparents, and all of her aunts and uncles had been. Even her teasing, irritating oldest brother bore the lion crest on his school robes. But she had begun to doubt this certainty when her elder brother Albus had been sorted into Slytherin two years previously.
"What if I'm in Slytherin?," she whispered to herself, remembering Uncle Ron's words as Albus and Rose had left for Hogwarts: "If you're not in Gryffindor, we'll disinherit you." He couldn't really mean that.
She was roused abruptly from her reverie by a the squ

Murmurs and whispers travelled through the hall, members from each of the four houses glaring at him as he reached the stool - his heart was racing and his stomach was doing backflips. His hands were shaking nervously and someone said, "That's the palest Malfoy I've ever seen."
Scorpius sat down nervously and Professor Longbottom carefully placed the hat on his head - yawning as if he already knew the outcome of Scorpius's Sorting. Scorpius's head turned towards the Slytherin table and he saw some boys clearing a space for him and some girls arguing with each other over which one would sit next to him. Scorpius almost slapped himself on his forehead.
"Oh great." Scorpius thought to himself.
He turned to observe the Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables. The Hufflepuffs smiled kindly up at him, although Scorpius could tell many of their smiles were completely fake. Some of them looked terrified of him and shrunk away as he faced them.
"Really now? I'm not my fa
