Garden Fresh series investigates the shifting boundaries between humans and animals in today’s environment and the complex relationship between art and nature. It is like a fable about a journey undertaken by the animals when they venture into our daily lives. The animals are confronted by a new reality that is in conflict with their natural habits and habitats.
At the same time, when we see these ‘zoo-trapped’ animals in supermarkets, their most outstanding characteristics are isolated as their ‘only’ characteristics. The animals are stripped of their own identities and are used as empty vessels to be filled with the human drama of parody, satire and allegory. We cannot help but see animals from a human vantage point, and therefore in some sense all the works in the present exhibition are actually about us.
Careful is this years' Sloth of Love He's a little one, only 11" sitting. He has hand sculpted epoxy claws so he can hang, a double jointed neck and a sweet hand felted face. I gave him deep brown eyes and added eyelids to give him even more expression. His nose reminds me of the Care Bears
Careful is available for adoption!

Tucan bird at the Cologne Zoo The bird was behind a wire-mesh fence, so it was a bit difficult to get the bird on camera without a trace of the fence... The light was great for this angle, plus the tucan looking in the right direction, I had to take a chance and hope that the bird didn't turn around. I succeeded! And I got the focus just right on the eye

...A TRAIL OF LIES REVEALED, THE AMAZING TALE OF MASSIVE ONLINE COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!
Websites by the name: Art4love.com and MarkYourSpot.com owned by Craig Pravada and Chad Love Lieberman took paintings from hundreds of deviantartists and put them up for sale illegally for THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. You can see more evidence of such here: [link]
UPDATE: Both of the websites are now shut down for infringements and their owner is on the run from the law for numerous copyright violations and massive amount of scams. I'm keeping this deviation here to make sure that their names are permanently imprinted on the internet as plagiarizers and scammers.
In a world where sequels seem to pop up before you’ve even forgotten the first film, there are some films that you just wish they’d re-visit, just for good times sake! And that’s exactly what the folks at iam8bit have done with their Sequel collaboration! They’ve invited over 40 artists to create posters for sequels that never were, and the results are brilliant! There an exhibit of them running at iam8bit in LA until Nov 23rd
