On the last day of the southern glacier trek, we had to climb non stop for hours to get to the top of a mountain, where a lagoon and some ice caves awaited. This was arguably the hardest climb I've ever done, incredibly steep and rocky, with no possibility to walk on a sturdy surface. Add to that the facts that we were over 5600 meters above sea level (meaning very little oxygen) and that I had to carry my 10kg photo bag on my aching back, and conclude that it was really, really hard. 10 steps and a rest, another 10 steps and another rest

When the climb was over, we had the chance to witness and shoot some very beautiful spots, such as the turquoise lagoon shown here.
