"Calm down Ember." he whispered to himself.
"It wasn't that scary with Angel, so why should it be now, right? Right. EEP!" He jumped at the sound of an owl, hooting above him. He craned his neck to see it, and tip-toed onward. The clouds churned overhead, warning of a storm, unplanned by the Pegasus ponies, and he wondered just what would happen if he was caught in it.
As thunder clapped above him, he passed the river where the mysterious scaled appendage nearly caught him, silently questioning why it wasn't showing it's self now. He hopped over the slippery rocks, into the deeper parts of the forest, ignoring his gut instinct to run.
