The young version of Impa in Skyward Sword is really tall and slender; but the papercraft version is only about 29 cm big. ;o)

damn! damn! damn! :D
as i started this project, i never thought that it will take quite three months to finish :faint:

but this whole work with re-coloring from blank sheets to a colored version was totally worth
This Gundam is just badass and to call this a SD (super deformed) version is definitely an understatement ;)

with over 400 sometimes really tiny and complicated pieces, i really can say it's nothing for beginners
you can see it in the building process gallery
and i have to say that too, i printed that thing on A3 ^^;

the model itself was really cool to build
all pieces fit quite perfect together
sadly, and that's the reason why the model hold the weapon only one time and in that way, the weapon it's not really designed for the model
or rather the hands not for the weapon
the hands are based on one piece which is fold to itself just to get the shape of a hand
so it's really unstable, think about that when you wanna build that model ;)

now then
to the point what you probably all waiting for
and to the sad part :worry:
because this time, it's a bit different
the original model as black&white version and a pdo as help file (where i made the screenshot from) is available here
but you need a password
i can't tell you the password here but think about "from where" you download the model, that's all i can say
then my recolored version
normally i ask the owner or designer if i can get the permission to share them ->public<-
but because there is no way for me to contact "panda" i'm not gonna do that
...
by the way
asking questions in a private messages is free here on dA :)
maybe you know what i mean ;)

i combined the photos this time because i noticed that there are many fakers and thiefs out there, specially in the gundam scene

but there is only one person, who has that brown desk under each model

me's :D

feel also free to write a critique
would make me happy :meow:

These are all the parts for the papercraft LEGO Castle Forestmen (a.k.a. "Robin Hood" ;o) minifigs.

I made five versions: black, red, blue and the leader, with either a yellow or a white feather on his archer's hat.

Each parts file has the parts for a complete minifig, but since all the parts are interchangeable, you could suffice with just the different torsos, feathers and hats. ;o)

All the parts and instructions for the different Forestmen (+lots more!) are available from my papercraft webpage: [link]

Have fun building!

and the next awesome model is done
:iconvictorydanceplz: :hooray: :icondweebdanceplz: :iconcarameldansenplz: :happybounce: :squee:

that's the reason why i just love this shit so much :D
and i just knew it would be cool

as i saw this model for, well, meanwhile also over a year ago ^^;
i just had to ask :iconsanat49: sanat49 for it
and i'm very thankfull and proud that he spend his original mesh for a papercraft project :huggle:
Crock by sanat49
the cool thing about this model is, that it's an entry for the pre-DominanceWar V competition, where i'm also a huge fan of :la:
what made this model, not the first Dominance War Papercraft, but the first downloadable (ironic hint to an other crafter ;P ) and hopefully definetly not my last ;)
...
but that's up to the 3d designer ;)

ok now, back to the model
the last steps, where you have to combine all parts will be exhausting
specially for the big shoulder armor pieces
there is not many space for glue or failures so be patience
test it out first where you can attach the pieces

also you have to put some weight into the rear leg or maybe both
maybe you noticed also that i attach the model a bit displaced at the pedestal
i had to do this because of the weight ratio
it's a lot testing and trying
so don't hurry ;)

file description:
the file contains as always three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the sheets in the way you want :)

the original texture is NOT included

model description:
the model come on 27 pages with 290 pieces and is 30cm tall

the model is actually not hard but the mouth take a bit more work as i thought
also the first three rings of the arms
the skulls and bones of the pedestal are very small but it's up to you if you wanna build them
i removed the lower site of the pedestal, it is too big for one page
but just glue the whole thing at a blank sheet and you have the same effect ;)

difficult level is about 7/10
if you have any trouble, feel free to ask me or/and take a look at the "building process gallery" where i explain how this and that is working :)

to download the model
click on the download button on the right side
you can thank dA for, that i can't write the direct link anymore

some words to the bloggers

because this is a collab, you have to give credits to :iconsanat49: sanat49 too!
otherwise i can't allow it to write a blog entry

you have the permission to use my photos
you DON'T have the permission to use his renders ore screenshot of it
except he allow it

this model is a Deviantart only download
so do not upload this model somewhere else
and the most important thing

this model is free and should it be
so let it be!

and trust me, i search for my stuff ;)

feel also free to write a critique :)

Here's a new piece from the Popped Culture series: Buzz Lightyear. Enjoy it and his sad story...

---

As Buzz's final moment came before him, he glared into the black abyss, only capturing one last one thing: a promise he made his son:

"I will always protect and watch over you. To infinity and beyond."

Buzz was an all American hero. He worked for the Star Command Army and had been recently promoted to Staff Sgt, leading the young and brave through interstellar wars against the evil alien terrorist, Zurg.

While deep in space, Buzz's ship was pulled into a worm-hole caused by his arch-nemesis Commander Zurg. Buzz tried everything in his power to turn his ship around, but to no avail. At this point, Buzz and his crew only had one option: abandon ship.

As the ship took more damage, the rescue pods began to deplete. Buzz allowed each member to escape as he tried to give them every last minute--until finally, it was too late.

Buzz, and his cruiser, were pulled into the worm-hole, and was never seen or heard from again. Buzz was announced dead by Star Command and the world mourned for the hero that saved over two hundred lives that day. He would leave behind his beloved wife, daughter and son.

However, Buzz did not die that day. He awoke to find himself still trapped into his own ship. All in tact, and still in his suit, he tried to escape but realized he was imprisoned, bound by wires.

This would be the first day of Buzz's new life, cast away into another dimension from Zurg's worm-hole, Buzz was no longer the human he once thought he was.

For now Buzz was wrapped away as an action figure, and on his way to a birthday party for a young boy named Andy.

Buzz's very own son.

An American Indian searches the riverbank for signs of his quarry. Behind him, his trusty pinto-coated horse seems to have spotted something on the far bank. The tracker is not particularly well armed for hunting game or enemies. Perhaps, he is tracking something - or someone - else, for another reason. The Kokopelli symbol decorating his horse's tack may be a clue.

...and I'm not even Jewish (lulz)

SOOOO anyway I'm finally able to work on stuff this summer, and I'm going to need to because right now I'm planning on selling at Florida Supercon with my best friend.  I'm going to be making prints and stuff, taking commissions, and selling my perler bead crafts. I'm planning on making lots of coasters of popular stuff, as well as another surprise which I'm not going to talk about yet ;)

Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated as to what I'm going to be selling once I get everything planned out. It's probably not going to be until after this academic year (MAY 3 *___*)

If anyone has any request or suggestions of characters/games/etc. to draw and make prints of let me know. I do take considerations very seriously.

Lauren, out.

I was ridiculously excited about the Avengers film (Marvel AND Whedon??! What more could a girl want?!) so back in December I decided I wanted to cosplay something related.

The Scarlet Witch is by far my favorite Avengers but I do not have nearly the level of skill required to craft that costume to do her justice. Instead, I settled for Black Widow (Comic Version).

I also adore the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon and I'm working on a Hawkeye costume for The Boyfriend to match me.

This is the fourth installment in the Smashified series. Also my first entry and kickoff to my involvement in the project as a creative director!

Being my first entry in the series, it was more than a difficult task to capture the style of Super Smash Brothers. Testing out a wide variety of techniques is something I typically try to be good at. This was so different from anything I've done before. So much so that I found myself taking a few steps back, often. Luckily the project is a collaborative one so I would receive pointers from other group members. Being a team is truly beneficial to success on this sort of activities.

In the future I plan to tip the scales from 2D painting more so to 3D. We will of course always have a need to paint over our models, but as time moves forward I want to have a bit more 3D work than 2D. As the Smash renders developed by Nintendo are completely 3D. We just aim to get as close to what they're doing as possible.

In other news, suggestions are changing a bit. You can now tweet directly at "smashified", which is the best way to have your suggestion be seen. Comments anywhere else with #smashified also works.

This is the third installment in the Smashified Series! You can watch the time lapse video here: (With CommentaryWithout Commentary)

As usual, this one was really challenging, and to be quite honest, I'm painfully aware that it falls short in certain respects. Banjo's face in particular proved to be very difficult for me to properly capture. I'm not sure what it is about it that gave me so much trouble. =P I hope to make some remedial tweaks to it based on people's feedback.

Like I mentioned in the video, I tried to imagine what the characters would have ended up looking like today if their visual evolution was more gradual, rather than having a particular jump where the design was reimagined from the ground up.

In other news, suggestions are changing a bit. You can now tweet directly at smashified, which is the best way to have your suggestion be seen. Comments anywhere else with #smashified also works.

Sorry for not posting in a while!

Always wanted to do 3D stuff, but it always seemed outta my reach.  Well, E3 happened, and after seeing all the Nintendo stuff, I got fired up, downloaded Blender, and gave it a try.  And it kinda snowballed and... actually worked out sorta well!  Pretty proud of how Dove turned out!  Maybe someday I can make a game like this, hopefully!

A paper sculpture of my one of my nephews and his beautiful wife dancing at their wedding, which took place in Costa Rica.  It was an amazing day, a trip of a lifetime and Costa Rica was so beautiful.  I made this as a gift for their first wedding anniversary; paper being the traditional first wedding anniversary gift.

The illustration on right was done by the very talented Drew Green.  Drew can be found on tumblr here: drew-green.tumblr.com/ This is the second time I've worked with Drew and it was an absolute pleasure.  He was flexible, open to collaboration, timely and reasonably priced.  I highly recommend his art and working with him.

This piece is fairly small, 4"x6". It is made from Canson, Canford and tissue papers.  It was great to work from Drew's illustration.  The piece was easy to construct and create depth. I've been trying different papers, like the tissue paper.

I tried multiple techniques with the lower part of her dress. I wanted maintain the feel of Drew's interpretation of her dress while creating some volume.  I finally settled on multiple layers of tissue paper.  I am very happy with the results.

A buddy of mine was playing Fallout 3 and it just sparked all the great memories I had with the game, I was inspired to try and recreate my old Fallout 3 picture from November, 2009:

Fallout 3: Virtue to Vice by PatrickBrown

It's been such a long time since I've done a really big piece of fan art like this, my gallery has been left dry for too long! So I've sorted things out in my life, I'm really trying to go back to my roots and do what I love, draw for passion. Last year was the hardest year of my life, with the loss of my parents and other personal stuff. But this year I just feel great, everything is starting to smooth out and I'm gaining a lot of motivation!

As you can see I really wanted to make this one more threatening, plus I love drawing monsters so the Behemoth was fun haha. And I always like to add little links to the game, you can see the stash in the corner there, and a Deathclaw and Sentry Bot in the background. I hope you enjoy it.
This is the start of a bunch of new work I'm planning on doing. I just have a few things I need to sort out and I'm back at it again!

Its been a couple years since I last did something in photoshop. Now, with my infatuation with men in beret's and sunglasses thanks to Fallout: New Vegas and Fan-stuff, I did this. The line work is crappy, but I blame myself for not having a tablet and all the darn right handers and their computer mice. I'm left handed and I did this right handed with a mouse in an hour. Ha! growing up in a rightie world, learning their weird ways have payed off! lol jk
