Warrior over your worriesBeloved, I orchestrated the universe. I set the sun and moon in place and ordered the sunrise and sunset. Day by day I balance the delicate nuances of nature so that each plant and animal, from the smallest to the largest, has its unique needs met. My plan allows for each of them to flourish.More Like This
My desire is for you to do the same-to flourish. This can't happen when you fall into a cycle of worry. When you expend all your energy fretting about things you can't control, you have nothing left for the things you can control.
I'm asking you to trust me to provide what you need when you need it. Let me be Lord of your life and Warrior over your worries.
Stand strong! In my love for you I have given you the words of life to direct your steps and keep you safe. The laws I give are for your good-they are purposeful, not arbitarary.More Like This
Naboth was obedient to the laws I gave Israel. He understood the importance of keeping the land he had inherited-the land I had given his ancestors-even when the kings sought to purchase it. The cost of obedience was great, but my servant stood firm for what he knew was right.
You'll meet plenty of people in life who only want what they want, without regards for me. But take heart-Scripture is full of faithful ones like Naboth who honored their commitment to me without fail and without regret.
I understand that it isn't always easy to do what is right, to stand against the crowd, to turn away from something lucrative because it is wrong. But I will honor you for your obedience. Stand strong!
Truly From My Heart: LoveDoes being a Christian mean that you're better than others? No. Does it mean that life is going to be 'easy street' after you become a Christian? No. Does it mean you'll instantly become perfect? No. No matter how long you've been saved, whether it be 30 seconds or 30 years, you will still go through hard times. You will STILL struggle with issues that this life throws at you. There will still be times when you're ready to give up on everything in your life and just lay down and die. Being a Christian means realizing that you're meant for more than whatever this world has for you. That you can overcome ANYTHING that comes your way. That when you've reached rock bottom and are ready to give up, that God will offer you his hand to pick you up higher than you ever thought you could go.More Like This
I've been an off and on Christian for most of my life now. It's never been easy. I've faced addictions, I've faced times when all I wanted to do was curl up and die, and there were times I wanted to even en

I saw a man.
He said something, I missed most of it because of my headphones. I said hello with a smile.
I passed him.
Then he called me back.
He gave me his story.
He didn't drink or smoke. He was a poor old black guy. (Literally. Not condescendingly.)He wanted to get to Salvation Army for a bed and a shower. It cost 8 or 9 dollars a night.
Would I give?
I was heartbroken to say that I couldn't.
I didn't have my wallet. Not a dime or card on me, even if I had some to spare.
He apologized for bothering me.
I told him it was nothing and told him I'd pray.
And I honestly did.
As I told God, if I had it, I would have given him everything.
God replied: "I know. But it's someone else's turn."
He repeated that as I repeated my part. I hated how I could do nothing. He assured me prayer was something, and eventually the prayer turned from the vague hope he would get something to praying that the 'someone' would step up and be moved to help.
