One, two, one, two. One. Two.
Hurricane counted in her head. It's not that hard, she told herself. She moved her wings.
One - the wing goes up, curled to a small ball to resist the air as little as possible.
Two - the wing unfurls, creating a surface large enough to push the air down and the pegasus up. Just like her sister told her. There’s not need to worry.
Thunderstorm was a unicorn, for pony’s sake! What does she know about flying? She probably just read it in one of her stupid books!
Hurricane stopped herself. She shook her head. It’s simple, she saw it a million times. Let’s do this, she thought. She took another deep breath, closed her eyes and flapped her wings.
One - up - two - down. One... two. One, two. It all seemed good.
One, two, one, two, one, two. She counted a little faster and began to trot. As her wings moved up and down, she began to feel the wing under them and with every flap. The feeling of lighness... That was it!
The pegaus jumped a bit and there she was, off the ground. She giggled, but then remembered the last time. She had to focus. One - up - two - down. No crazy stuff. Just flap those wings, girl. Flap and count.
Hurricane did a roundabout and flew higher. She felt the wind in her mane again! That was a feeling you couldn’t understand unless you knew it.
The pony held her wings still and glided on a gust of hot air. She closed her eyes and her mind began to wander. She did it - she flew just like everypony else!
Maybe just... a small loop to celebrate? A barrel roll? She’d get back on the ground in a minute.
And there she was - flying straight down, cutting the fall in the last moment. The thrill, the excitement, it was too much. She started spinning, squealing with joy, flying up up UP in the air, up to the sun!
She never felt so free. She dashed and turned, flying here and there, zipping along the sky or lazily flapping away.
She never saw it coming.
A sharp yell of surprise from below. Hurrican turned her head and almost died. A gust of wind that formed into a cone, grey, uninviting, menacing.
She didn't! She couldn't! She was so careful! She paid attention! She concentrated! She...
She didn't. Her wings did the same thing like last time. She forced them to obedience, but the damage has been done. She turned and flew in to try and mitigate the disaster.
She tore the building torando in half, not caring about the way her wings made her rock and whirl and spin. She had no time for patience, discipline - she had to fix that slip-up.
Hurricane came to a halt, landing. She looked back, seeing only the running pony. There it was, another one to talk about her "dangerous tricks" and how's she a "threat to all ponydom."
The mare laid down under a tree, looking up through its branches. Why her? Why did she have to be like this?
What kind of talent is THAT?!
She looked down at her flank. The little grey tornado seemed to mock her. It was like her destiny taunted her. You'll always be like this, Hurricane. Why fight it?

- the basic idea was an outgoing, friendly pony who was shunned because of her tendency to accidentally cause destructive storms. Naturally, I added my sick and twisted ideas to it.--- Premium Content

Hurricane's wings flap in odd manner. Their movement is not completely synchronous, which makes the pony rock and spin as she flies. Moreover, the wind currents from this atypical wing movement sometimes add up, creating the basis of incredibly dangerous tornados.
While the pony can control this when she concentrates, normal wing movement is too unnatural for her to keep for long.
However, Hurricane is surprisingly agile while in the air, using her quick, chaotic wing movement to change direction almost instantly. Which usually results in destructive turbulences all around her. --- Personality
Hurricane is a friendly, outgoing and social pony. She loves attending parties as well as organizing them, chatting with others and telling jokes.
However, her bad reputation tends to scare some ponies away, meaning that Hurricane can be a bit shy around those she doesn't know. Once they become her friends, however, she will spend hours entertaining them.
The mare's wing problems result in some mild fear of flying, mostly because of a fear that she will hurt others. Hurricane usually doesn't get in the air unless it's a part of "normal flying" training, or a complete necessity. This is why she usually prefers the ground and is somewhat alien to the other pegasi who soar through the sky instead. As always, any input is appreciated.
