Remember what I said a while ago about trying to be more adventurous with my art? Well, this is another attempt at that. That lighting was such a pain. And I'm sorry for the insane level of eye-burn you may experience from looking at this. You might want to put on sunglasses. I didn't mean for it to be so freaking bright, honestly! ._.

I tried painting my android GLaDOS in a more realistic style, and it took forever. I'm pleased with it though - considering I haven't done painting with no lineart or realism for god knows how long. This is still pretty stylised, though. -_-
I made her skin too shiny, too. Ah well, let's say that Chell squirted her with a water-pistol, and that's why she looks so unimpressed. :U

Just a doodle I felt like doing. Remember my old 'fun with Chell' dump where Chell drew a moustache on GLaDOS? Now she's done it to Wheatley, too. No-one is safe!

A speedpaint I did at college the other day. Came out a little too bright for my liking, but oh well. I might come back to that. It took about 3 hours. ^^

Decided to have a go at drawing a concept for Portal 1 GLaDOS. I Tried to give her a slightly more insane look, and the cores are fixed right by her head for maximum annoyance (She is in her chair, btw, which is what the cores are attached to, I just got lazy). She is also more restricted by the strap things that hold her in the chair. :>

This one's quite old, actually, I just didn't get round to uploading it. ^^'' I know her shoulders are off... shoulders are always something I have trouble drawing. Along with necks, and men. XD

Just one more thing, I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with my monitor - so if the drawings look horizontally squashed or streched, could you tell me? My monitor makes everything appear wider than it actually is, so I stretched these drawings to try and remedy that. Hopefully they look normal and it's not noticable, but idk I'm really paranoid about this. Damn I need a new laptop noooooooooow. ._.

Portal 1 GLaDOS. She's so insane. :U

Lately, I've been quite down about my art (I won't go into detail because I don't wanna come off all 'bawww give me compliments'), so I've been drawing 'safe' pictures that are unchallenging for me - such as this - note the boring angle, simple lighting, etc. But then I realised that that's not the right way to improve, and that I needed to step outside my comfort zone a little - hence this picture.

I know it's not exactly, say, Rick the Adventure Sphere adventurous, but for me the angle of her face and the red lighting was very challenging. Plus, I really enjoyed drawing this, which was nice because before it had sort of lost its pleasure.

But not anymore! I need to keep doing more experiments like this. c:

And btw, after my last picture of Portal 1 GLaDOS, I had a few people suggested that she would look better with her original eye piece (as I'd stuck to the one from Portal 2), and looking back, I agree. So in this one it's the Portal 1 eyepiece.

Yes. Wheatley was stuck on a branch in the forest. He landed on Earth in the forest. Foliage to soften his fall.
However, our lil spherical hero found himself in the forest where the Chell. At one of the trees in front was the inscription "I miss you, Wheatley". All this is very much an effect on Wheatley. He would cry .. if only he could.

I need to stop making these. I have so many frees at college - but until I have a new laptop I can't really make any serious art there. I think it would be frowned upon if I got out all my paints and brushes in the corridors. XD;

Also I wanted to draw Chell smiling, because she's so stoic in canon. And then I drew a smiling GLaDOS, but her smile looks somewhat malicious. Ah well, a genuine smile would look weird on her. XD Lots more Adventure time style in there, too! It's so fun to draw.
