Long report on Japan.I think the biggest thing that gets to you with travel is the general feeling of being unprepared. Not in terms of possessions, but mentally. There might be some things in your head that you could do without that you gotta take along, and the like. Japan was an incredible experience. Most of it was generally a shock - the general society itself is vastly different from what I'm used to or exposed to. I didn't really learn much more Japanese than "Thank you" and "I'm sorry," mostly because that's what my general IRL vocabulary tends to boil down to.
