what a project
not because of the model itself
it is not very hard
more because of the sidework of the "Papercraft Tutorial" where is use this model for

to build this model and more to show you how i build it, make this model to something very special
and i hope you will enjoy building Gomamon as much as i did

About the Model:
the model comes on 10 pages, with 117 pieces and is about 20cm high

the sheets don't contain the hair
even it was a pain in the ass to peel all the wool in the right direction, is was quite funny (and a huge mess )
but trust me and you can see it in the Tutorial
to build all this triangles, i guess it wouldn't make fun

in my case i use colored sheep wool to build the hair, but you can also use paper, cardboard, plush, felt or whatever
it's hair, it don't look always the same

About the Package:
The download package contains as always
three pdo files
one with folding lines and texture (lined)
one without folding lines and texture (lineless)
and one white with folding lines (white)

also the same as Adobe Reader PDF's
and also the original textures

well, honestly, i don't know what i should write
maybe i didn't realized that i'm finally done with this model.

it takes a horrible long time to build and sometimes i was about to give up, but after more than two month (effective building time) i can share this pictures with you

Fazit:
the best decision was, to print the sheets on A3, because this model takes me to the limits and you should have a little bit more experience for this.
the most parts are quite easy, but some pieces are hard as hell.
you can see it in the "building process gallery"

specially the backpack was that part, that gives me more then one headache

but it was a challenge that I gladly accepted
because this model is really unique and definitely an eyecatcher in every shelf ore something else.

the guys from "Just Paper" did a great job on this and if they ever decide to create an other one, i would build it too

oh man, what a night
i wrote in the last journal entry that i had the feeling that i'm stuck on this
but after the entry it went into the opposite and the work goes on and on.

i doesn't took any other photos of the build because it would take more then i expected
at the end i had all parts assembled with the others
and i never cursed/sweared more then at this one

the only advice what i can give you is to build this very careful
start with the two front part, add this little pieces (on the same page) add the disc and curles/shells/screws/spiral flames ( ) and front legs
end with the tail and the last part should be the right rear leg
that's the way i build it.

again i must put some weight into one leg, beause of the tail and the sword, the model falls over.
so put something into the rear right leg before you close it.

fazit:
one of the hardest models that i had, but only because of the pieces.
there are brutal unnecessary complicated

however i'm happy that I decided to build it
it's really an awesome model
but never again

when i take a look at the little hint in description of Pegasusmon, that i wrote at that time
i never thought, that I would be the one who build myself a model of Renamon...
lol and i never thought that it would take quite one year for this
ok, not reall but it took me the longest time

it was pure coincidence that i found one day an image of Renamon in my messagebox also with some free resources


i started to edit the model but it was not "that thing"
the model was in a x-stance and i had no idea what i should do with the fur
so i stopped the work and build some others

then it also was the time i had no access to my PC and the time passed
after a while a second image pop up in my message box

and i just thought
"HOW FUCKING SWEET IS THAT !?
THAT'S IT!!

so i ask KP-ShadowSquirrel, owner of both models, if he would spend....if he got a low-res version of it and then if he would spend it for a project.
so you can call this officially my second collaboration

i don't know but i found that 2D-3D convertions always look like ass (best example, Simpsons )
except one, those from nintendo
take sonic, mario, the pokemon, zelda, they really found a way to convert them

but there is also one who managed it
and in an awesome way
yes i mean you KP-ShadowSquirrel

this model of Rena is just super cool
and i don't say that just simply

the editing was not easy to remove all the clippings but after the third attempt it worked
and i can tell you people, this was just fun to build
and the result...even i was blown away

the final building process was the hardest part
it took all my knowledge and techniques to combine all pieces together
holding the model until the glue is sticky
press the taps with tweezers over three edges
put the finger inside and press from the other side with something flat (sounds stupid but maybe you know what i mean )
so i declare this to difficult level 6 of 10

About the Fur:
well, i thought a long time what i can use for the fur
because the original mesh was not possible to build (defenitly)
so i decided to make it out of cotton wool
haha, it took me one hour to peel it in the right shape
but it was worth

oh yeah
my first SD Gundam

two weeks of chilled work are done
and it looks really cool

i was a little bit worried, because the SD Gundams have a complete different model design as the pepakura models

but after a few parts i noticed how "genius" this design is.
the most parts are open and very easy to handle.

if you have three ore four cross tweezers you can build this very quick and get a page at one day done.

also the cool thing on this models are the model parts itself.
you can remove the head and arms, the wings, the weapon and the shield and pose them in an other way.

but the important thing is the instruction
i downloaded a few other SD models but they have none
so you have to figure out which part must be connected with the others

this one comes with a very nice and detailed one, so you will have no problems and it's also a good start into the SD series

as i saw this model, it was just a must have for me
i played worms so many times on LAN's and online
and it was always funny
even my own worms got bashed over the edge of the world because i throwed the holy grenade to short

the model itself is not hard but it got a few bugs in the back
so i just bent it in the way it look good
also the eyes have a little issue
there are two peaks, which i didn't know where i should connect them
so i just cut them away

and yes, the teeth are removable

the model is a bit small, i prefere to print this out double sized (maybe i build this again too)

again i had to put some weight into the model, otherwise it falls down

man, this thing took just freaking long
when i imagine that the plan was, to build this in my three weeks vacation (last year ) and meanwhile a half year is gone since i started the boosterpack

ok, i had a few breaks, one with Renamon and a few others
so the pure building time was about two months
but also a long time

i have to say that i don't have any clue about Gundam Wing/00/Zero ore whatever which series is called
i know about the Gundams and love the mecha design (specially this one because of the wings) but never saw one part so don't bother about the name


ah, big mechas with wings
i just love this shit

even the sheets where not the best (they are very pixelized)
i'm totally pleased with the result
but during the building and right now i can say, it's definitely not a starter model
i had to modify a lot of stuff and quite every blue and grey edge is recolored to hide the folding lines
but all over is was pure fun
and...
surely not my last Gundam model
the next one is allready planned

if you don't choose the right weapon for the right situation you're just fucked

about the model:
i just have to say this

some are just badly designed
but not in this case
quite the opposite

this model is just genius and you just know that "Irem" build this one not only one time
everything fit just perfect

i have to do three crosses now
man, that was really a challenge to build this
not because of the big piece count and the size
but to realize it from the 3d mesh to a papermodel

i never had a more messed up mesh like this
and to edit this was just horrible
but it was totally worth, this model looks just sweet

although i hate all the mario related things
yeah really in every freaking nintendo game is this plumber
i really wonder that he doesn't appear in zelda
maybe i'm too old and oversaturated about mario
i'm althrough more in the bad area and i think Bowser is a missunderstood individual
did you ever thought about, that he just wanna talk to Peach about his problems and stuff

The Beam-Rifle

like the Axe what i recently uploaded, it's also a redesign from the Playboy Sinanju version

the first two photos are showing the complete new scope
(just if you wonder why there are numbers missing )
i build the scope that way because
well, i mean it's a rifle not a sub-machine gun
a rifle need a huge scope
period

you can also see this little scope attachment
the original plastic version has that too

i used some wires to combine the small pieces
actually the whole piece is a pipe

IMPORTANT!
to add the "shadow catchers" at the front and back
you have to try out what diameter you need
i calculated with different paperweights

the third photo shows the whole model with the numbers,
just if there are still some questions about that

the fourth is a few hours later with some finished parts

and finally the finished weapon

the first part of the big Sinanju model from paper-replika.com
and damn, i expect a lot but not that it will take so ling to build that thing

not because of the size, but i had a few problems with the pieces
frankly, they are not very good designed
maybe, i can only speak on my own because when i design and unfold the pieces i have an other way to do this

anyway, after i finished the shield i finally notice how tall this model will be and i can't wait to see it
but it will be a long way

you maybe allready know this part

i know it's "not the original beam axe what's hidden behind the shield"
i have to say
i don't give a shit
all the work put into this, from the resize, redesign and recolor was just worth
but it's not only an axe, with a little special it can be morphed to a spear from 50cm to 65cm

the other thing, the original design is just really cool and totally open

when you print the pages a few times, you can build two weapons or on one side two big blades and on the other two small and waht not, it's up to the builder

but anyway
now to the morphing system
through the resize i had a little problem
the original staff is one page tall and i had to think about what to do
so i decided to cut that piece into three different and build it
like an antenna

here you can see my building process
first i build the three pipes (these are the hardest parts by the way )
and cut some long paper stripes
then i wrapped one stripe arround at one side first until it fit good into the bigger pipe
you have to test it out how much you need
cut a stripe with the same lenght but don't attach it to the other side

then do the same but at the inside of one of the bigger pipes

now the system should be clear
stick the thin pipe without the attached stripe into the big pipe from the other side until you reach quite the end

then through the second bigger pipe at the side with the attached stripe at the inside

push this also quite to the end
now add the stripe at the thin pipe
and done
sound complicated i know but it's really easy

then add the two red pieces to the staff and the top part
i allready combined them but it's up to you

and step by step the final axe is done

Fenrir Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts 2. Oh man, I loved this keyblade, it was like a trophy, after defeating Sephiroth I think tifa gives it to you on...Hollow Bastion? or was it Radiant Garden? I should replay the series.

since i made the desicion to rebuild the whole Sinanju model from paper-replika
i thought also about to build some weapons
the problem, even there are exist some in an other Sinanju version from playboy, there is no instruction how to combine all the pieces

well, actually it wasn't really hard, the hardest part was to build them, specially from the axe
but i think the result speaks on it's own, and i hope that these picture help that others can build this cool things too

the next step is to start resize, recolor and rebuild the pieces a bit, that the weapons fit for the big version, some are really ugly designed and very heavy

i printed the sheets on A4
they are white because the sheets are designed for colored paper
the axe is about 40 cm tall
the beam rifle about 30
the sheets are available here

the beam rifle comes on two pages in an extra pdf
you can find the axe at the pages 2,21 and 36
the pieces are declared as A_xx

i'm so happy and exited, this is defenitly one of my favorite models i've made so far
and it turned out so awesome


and it really was about time that this is no done
i had this over a year now on my pc or rather where i ask FirstKeeper for the original model


why this took so long?
just simple, i didn't had the knowledge at this point to edit 3d models in that way that it work
so i had to gain some experience first until i was ready to do this

but the waiting time was worth
this is really an unique model which stands out of my normal fanart pieces
and just to clear this
even it looks like a model from WoW

this is NO fanart

this lich is designed as an OC
and because i just owe her this
i will handle it like that too
that means i will decline every suggestion from a fanart group
i hope you can understand this
i'm not gonna put this in some sort of suitcase
first i thought too that this something from DnD or an other RPG
but she made this model on her own
and she did just an awesome job
it was just a pleasure and also a honor that i had the chance to build this

you can imagine how happy i am, that this gigantic project is finally done
three months (pure building time) of work are over
it was hard, it was frustrating but all in one
it was just worth

seeing her standing on my desk is just a satisfaction for all the work i put in
quite every edge is recolored to hide the white spots
i put so much soul into this project that i believe

oh man, what a model
as great this model looks, as hard it was for me and brought me very close to through all the pieces in the trash

this is definitely no starter model and not "that you just build"
the pieces and taps are just tiny and the mechanism for the body was hell for me
but as a huge fan of this game
i'm really proud of it

Silvine was a model, what i want to build since a long time
but i was a bit scared about the sheets but after a few gundam models it is just easy
and looks just great

i don't know if this little mecha cat is inspired by Gundam ore "Samurai Pizza Cats"
and honestly, i don't care

this model is full moveable, even with normal paper (you will see it at the next photos )

and i'm defenitly gonna build a secon one with other colors

that's the reason why i just love this shit so much
and i just knew it would be cool

as i saw this model for, well, meanwhile also over a year ago
i just had to ask sanat49 for it
and i'm very thankfull and proud that he spend his original mesh for a papercraft project

the cool thing about this model is, that it's an entry for the pre-DominanceWar V competition, where i'm also a huge fan of
what made this model, not the first Dominance War Papercraft, but the first downloadable (ironic hint to an other crafter ) and hopefully definetly not my last
...
but that's up to the 3d designer


ok now, back to the model
the last steps, where you have to combine all parts will be exhausting
specially for the big shoulder armor pieces
there is not many space for glue or failures so be patience
test it out first where you can attach the pieces

also you have to put some weight into the rear leg or maybe both
maybe you noticed also that i attach the model a bit displaced at the pedestal
i had to do this because of the weight ratio
it's a lot testing and trying
so don't hurry

also the first three rings of the arms
the skulls and bones of the pedestal are very small but it's up to you if you wanna build them
i removed the lower site of the pedestal, it is too big for one page
but just glue the whole thing at a blank sheet and you have the same effect

i'm so happy and exited, this is defenitly one of my favorite models i've made so far
and it turned out so awesome


and it really was about time that this is no done
i had this over a year now on my pc or rather where i ask FirstKeeper for the original model


why this took so long?
just simple, i didn't had the knowledge at this point to edit 3d models in that way that it work
so i had to gain some experience first until i was ready to do this

but the waiting time was worth
this is really an unique model which stands out of my normal fanart pieces
and just to clear this
even it looks like a model from WoW

this is NO fanart

this lich is designed as an OC
and because i just owe her this
i will handle it like that too
that means i will decline every suggestion from a fanart group
i hope you can understand this
i'm not gonna put this in some sort of suitcase
first i thought too that this something from DnD or an other RPG
but she made this model on her own
and she did just an awesome job
it was just a pleasure and also a honor that i had the chance to build this

as i build the model
i noticed
"ok, how the .... should i add the antenna"
and i came up to that idea

i added a hole in that shape of the antenna
then i build that thing what i call bridge also with a hole in that size

i think you can guess how it is working
and it worked very well
but be sure you add the antenna before you close the upper torso

the rest is just a matter of patience
add the head, build to the front and add the lower pieces of the torso one after another

oh yeah
big mecha dragon
this Digimon has a long story
i had this model meanwhile since a really long time
but wasn't able again to edit the mesh
so i was again happy that this time MichelCFK started the work
but as i ask him when he will start with it, he told me that there is so many stuff inside the mesh, that it is impossible to build
and if i could try to build it
so i started the work and i can tell you, it was more like a pain in the ass to remove the mesh and collissions
it was really confusing and i still have a lot of shitty faces in the sheets
so do not wonder that there are some triangles at the grey zone

anyway, after a lot long nights i finally can give you Wargrowlmon back
i hope you like it


the model itself isn't really that hard as it may look
it has just other dimensions

build the lower torso, lower arms (blades and claws) and shoulders seperated
combine the shoulders and the head with the pages 28 and 29
and continue to the chest
when you are done you can combine lower and upper torso with each other

the shoulders are actually really simple
the only piece what is...looks a bit weird is the one at page 15 and 24
but it's not a problem

build the cylinder and wrap the next one arround
then fold the first edge backwards and fix it

after that, add the next piece and wrap this around too
and you will get this part done

combine both pieces and add the one at the backside
the rest shouldn't be that hard

i didn't combined them
because later it will be better when you want to combine both shoulders

the head itself isn't hard
sadly, like the hair, i had here also some mesh problems what i couldn't solve
so don't wonder that the sheets look a bit weird

just follow the numbers and you will have no problems

you also should wait before you add the spikes, until the whole model is done
i attached them and had a lot of trouble
