Washu, how DID you...? (drawing skill)Hi there my friends!More Like This
I decided to write this journal because many people ask me what I did to get to the level of skills I have at drawing.
Well the answer is training.
Just look around you! There are infinite sort of thing and objects waiting for you to try picturing them. And in fact that's how I started and I sort of do that even nowadays for training purposes.
You don't have to do it perfectly at first. Or second or third or N times. I really sucked when I started. And when I say I was really bad I mean it!
Remember Kung-fu Panda?
When Poh said: "There's no secret ingredient!"
I assure you he is damn right.
Yet, to achieve some stuff unfortunately you have to sacrifice others There's no other way. =/
Unless you were born a genius
And that's something I'm not
"But Washu, what did you sacrifice to achieve the level you are now?" You'd ask.
Oh I sacrificed maaaany things. Like:

2012: Year of the Dragon
DRAGON CASTLE by randis
According to the Chinese zodiac, 2012 has ushered in the year of the dragon upon the world stage.
In addition to occupying an ages old position in our cultural consciousness, legend and folklore surrounding

Dragons, we are speaking from ancient texts gathered form the beginnings of kept records of any kind and fro
The Tree as Beautiful MachineMore Like This
While searching deviantART for images for the Earth Day article, I became intrigued with how trees have become not only such a central focus of our current environmental concerns, but also how they play such a central role in our art, whether as background or actual subject matter. There are so many Enchanted Forests on deviantART that it made me wonder if trees, so mundane and taken for granted yet at the same time so vital to life on earth and so steeped in myth, have always been the revered subjects of the world’s artists.

MY LITTLE PONY: Why Phenomenon?
A lot of people have been wondering, not so much about the animated show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but why it has such a massive and diverse fan base? How can a show ostensibly created for young girls appeal to boys, men and older women as well?
And why do other shows, despite their apparent quality and sell, fail to create the impact a Flash-based show and the fourth in a series based on a toy line has made?
Why does a guy like me, effectively a young adult, enjoy it and make an embarrassing amount of deviations and videos on the subject matter?
Well, in my humble way I'll attempt to explain why I feel this is so a point at a time.
MAYBE THE WORLDWIDE AND UNPRECIDENTED SUCCESS OF THIS SHOW BEFORE THE FIRST SEASON WAS EVEN DONE WILL ENCOURAGE ANIMATORS TO WRITE DECENT STORIES AND CHARACTERS AGAIN IN OTHER SHOWS TOO? MAYBE THEN WE WON'T HAVE TO WATCH AN ANIMATED SHOW INTENDED FOR YOUNG GIRLS TO SEE THAT!!!
