HSV: Day 8: Silent NightThe days festivities had been enjoyable. Aisho's cheeks hurt from smiling all day, unable to help herself as the laughter became contaigious. Even her parents seemed lighter that day, having joined along in the activites, small giggles filling the house.

From playing in the snow to decorating the tree, they had done the whole nine yards that were involved with the winter holiday. Aisho had already put Chouko to bed, having fallen asleep while listening to her tell stories of old Saint Nick. She was currently in the kitchen, having decided to warm herself a cup of milk when she heard small footsteps, turning her head in shock to see Chouko, her slight pudged cheeks marred with a frown. Placing her cup down, Aisho walks over to her, easily lifting her in her arms. "What's the matter little one?"
"I had a nightmare."

"But I am bored," Yukiko whined, truly sounding 10 this time. "No one will let me go outside. Look at everyone else, they are having so much fun."
Not sympathizing with Yukiko, Akane rolled her eyes and asked "What would you do if you weren't injured? Stay at home doing nothing, like you have for the past 20 years."
"I know, but that was my choice then," Yukiko replied "I did not chose this. And I'm not in pain anymore. I can move about perfectly fine. I don't know what all this fuss is about."
"You know what," Akane said "I'm getting tired of you complaining and whining all day. On my way to the library, I'll get a doctors appointment for you, and then let him tell you if you can run around in the snow or not."
"Really?" Yukiko asked, smiling.
