Watercolor paint streams.
Pitter patter -
the only sound.
among the ground.
The rain is a drizzle,
my feet are bare.
My dress was once white,
brown was my hair.
Yet, now they are rainbow:
pink, green, blue.
Orange, yellow, purple:
the whole world is brand new.
My paintbrush swirls and twirls,
touching the white wall.
I will depict my worries,
and the rain shall wash them all.
Then slowly, I'll walk away,
leaving the paint set be.
For if a traveler were to walk on by,
surely, they would see.
Perhaps they'll paint their worries,
and let the rain wash them away;
and after the storm is over,
they can look forward to a new day.

Technically that would mean I have somethin',
but this isn't the time to be
mister proper and all that.
I ain't got nobody.
Got no one to laugh with
'til our cheeks turn pink.
Saliva oozing from our mouths
as we hold our hurting sides.
And I ain't got no shoulder to cry on
when the world is on my own.
Ain't got no daddy to pat my head,
telling me how much I've grown.
My mother left me and my twin at birth,
so I ain't got her, either.
I don't know what warmth feels like,
or what it's like
to be tucked in bed at night.
'Cause, hell... I just don't got it.
I ain't popular 'round school...
That is, when I go.
I ain't got no friends,
and I ain't got the best grades.
Teacher say I'd be at the top of
the class if I "applied myself."
But he don't know, I guess.
Maybe he do.
Don't ask me.
I ain't got no God.
I think he left me a long time ago.
This isn't the first time my heart
is colder than snow.
Scratch that. I ain't got no heart, too.
