This night Julian just couldn't sleep. He was too nervous and way too worried to get any rest, so he decided to climb a tree and watch the dragons soaring above. He knew that it was risky, but he told himself that he would be very careful and hide every time a dragon comes close. Even so he couldn't quite concentrate and his thoughts always returned to his brother.
Did they get him? Is he alright? Maybe he's dead already!
The discomforting thoughts distracted him so much that he almost didn't notice the two dragons coming from behind. They soared over the cliff and came directly towards him, flying as low as possible, hardly avoiding the treetops. Julian gripped his brothers sword tighter and started to climb down. He hadn't moved much from the edge of the forest where they had spied on Jeremiah, so he quickly moved into the darkness of the deeper forest and hoped that it would cloak him from th

"I know it." Julian simply replied. ""If I return now they won't even let me explain myself, huh?"
"I guess so. And even if they let you, what would you tell them? That you simply lost control and it won't happen again? This won't be enough."
Julian nodded. They fell silent for a moment, while each of them thought of a solution.
"What does Ando think of me now?" Julian asked, almost afraid of the answer. He didn't want to loose his best friend. They had mastered their first mission together and Julian didn't want to loose this just because he had been an absolute jerk.

The rain was pouring down in thick drops, but Julian didn't really notice. He was sitting on a rocky cliff at the edge of the valley. His clothes were already soaked and stuck to his body, but the boy didn't care. He stared at his black-scaled paw. He had been here for two days now and the changes hadn't retreated so far. Julian wondered if they would be permanent now. His stomach roared angrily. He hadn't eaten ever since the incident with his brother; couldn't eat. The boy wondered if his brother was among the people down there, who were constantly searching for him, wanting to kill him for what he had done. He sighed and stared at the abyss before him. Due to the heavy rain, the ground was nowhere to be seen, but lost itself in an impenetrable grey, which seemed to cover the whole valley. Tiny stars were swimming in this grey ocean; people with torches, searching for him even now.

The three weeks passed in no time and the boys got more nervous with every day that passed. Jonas and Cole tried to comfort them, but even so they were nervous. They knew that they were good, good enough to pass the finals, better than some others, but they knew that they might die. The littlest fault may be fatal and that was what they feared most. Jonas tried to help Julian to learn the last defense spells, while Ando practiced becoming invisible. Finally Julian sighed and sat down. He was exhausted and couldn't quite concentrate.
"What is it?" Jonas asked.
"I'm exhausted and if I think that we might die tomorrow..." He paused, not knowing what to say. It was obvious that he was worried, but Jonas didn't know what to do or say to help him. "It's just... You definitely choose the fast way, but this might be the fastest way to get you killed, too. We need to train you loads of things in impossibly short time. You usually train for three years, until you dare to enter the finals. You want to enter after little more than a month. As I said, I need to think about where to begin. Come back in half an hour. Julian nodded meaningfully and patted Ando on the back.

Julian opened his eyes and felt horrible. The nervousness had returned and was stronger than ever. He looked out of the window and saw the black sky. Dark clouds flew past and hid the stars. It was still very early, so Julian had more time for himself than he wanted. Slowly he put his clothes on; just slow enough to spend more time with it as usual, then he looked at the others, who were still sleeping. Joker turned in his bed, mumbled something and hugged his pillow. Julian smiled, forgetting the test for a moment. These were his friends and he knew that he could count on their support. He silently left the room and stepped into the floor. Jonas just opened the door, which lead outside, and Julian joined him.

But it was described as a realistic long dragon costume, sleek and snake-like. Slender limbs for arms and feet, elegant fins across its back, and a long snout with flowing whiskers. And at a low price, how could he say no?
However when it did come, he realized he should've said no. The costume he saw was one that looked entirely fake. The skin was made of cheap rubber, scales painted on. The "realistic features" were whiskers and attachable claws. It didn't even come with horns.
Trying it on, Noah realized it didn't fit him. Not because it was too big or too small, but because it didn't seem like it was shaped for a hum

She looked out across the forest and shivered. In front of her was a large, mossy rock; the same rock she had walked passed half an hour ago. She groaned and looked down at her feet as she tried not to worry. But she was lost, hungry and tired. And she was lost. The voices in her head kept telling her so.
She sighed and ran a hand across the rock, feeling its fuzzy green coat as she kicked at a rock on the ground. It skipped and skittered away from her, disappearing under some trees. Then she yelled about how unfair it was.
She could feel herself slipping; her grip on reality fading. She couldn't let it slide, because she knew what would happen when she did. She knew the others in her mind too well.
She sat down in the dry dirt under the rock, holding her head in her hands. She'd had to deal with them for ever. Yet, she was still afraid. She was always afraid of what would happen when they took over.

The sky looked blue in a downright insolent manner, it's sapphire vastness uninterrupted by even smallest traces of whiteness. In its middle, like a gold lump, the sun shone, hitting my body with heat regardless of me having shirt and shorts. Sandals aren't even worth mentioning.

As I'm recording this, I can see the white, green, and blue covering of the planet. Green is usually good; it's an indication that there is life on the planet, at least most of the time. But since this is my journal and there's still time before arrival, I might as well say why I'm here in the first place. As soon as I turned eighteen, I signed up for the "First Contact with Alien Planets Society", which sends members to unexplored planets in hopes of discovering new sentient life

Due to the Imperial Flame's naturally high muscle density and strength they make for excellent soldiers, fighters, and mercenaries. A few well known traits about Imperial Flames are that they are very proud, stubborn, and have a short temper but these aren't the only ones, they are also known to be quite friendly, loyal, and noble. So to befriend one means that you will have made a lifelong friend that will always be there to protect and comfort you. Another key thing to know about is that there are two very important clans that have fought with each other for hundreds of thousands of years, the Flame-Hearts and Red-Fangs.

"They" refers to a corporation. A big one. One which has connections and a really high-tech science lab. I think they're some kind of defense contractor; I was one of their experiments.
I wasn't supposed to tell you this, because I wasn't supposed to get out. But I did. The company was working on a government-sponsored program to create a new kind of soldier. I know that sounds like a bad movie but they really do this kind of thing. Back to the point. They tried to make a new kind of soldier – one who was as quick and intelligent and capable as a human but better in some areas. Like more cunning and more fierce. But also one who they wouldn't care too much about if he got killed in battle. Humans have families you have to write to when their kids get killed in
Costume Shop Story - Part 1If I had to call it anything, it would have to be quaint. The town was small, a little suburb of the big city, surrounded on most sides by scrub and farm-land. I had moved here a few months before because the city (much as I loved it) wasn't good for me. It was expensive and noisy, and the pay wasn't covering my expenses.More Like This
To help pay bills, I had registered for a website where people posted free-lance work they needed done, and one job had been in the quaint little town. After a while I was looking for jobs out here, I liked it, something appealed to me.
About the fifth or sixth job, someone finally asked if I was looking for work. I said I'd be interested, and found myself supporting several town businesses. It paid the rent (which was cheap out here) and kept me comfortable, but for one thing.
See, I have always enjoyed driving, and this far from the city, with its lights, you could really see the stars.

"My dear... I'll be seeing you very soon. And you'll be seeing me. I can feel it. The wheels of fate are turning." The voice said. I was about to call out a response-- but the dream quickly faded to black.

The cold morning temperature and furless skin informed her of the return to her human state once more. However it was a sharp double-edged sword; she had weathered yet another full moon, all the while managing to harm no one, but now she was bare-skinned naked in the late autumn forests of Virginia. True, the sun beamed through the leafless trees to highlight her pink-tinted skin and warm her, but nothing would replace the decency and insulation that came with a good set of thick clothes. She shivered, exhaling a steamy breath. She crossed her arms for a second or two, trying to warm herself. Now back in control of her body and mind, the temptation to shift back was too much to resist.
It was the simple decision to shift in her mind that began her changes. The young woman felt the sickening sensations before she saw anything. The hot blood pumping through her veins sent power and strength through every corner of her mind and body. Her stomach churned; her insides be

An enormous explosion rocked Amy's mind!
No; it was simply the front door slamming shut. Through the many layers of balled up bedcloth did Amy register this as not part of her dreams. She was in reality, and the moment of truth loomed around the corner like a grim reaper. How would Todd react to her wolf side? Turmoil in her mind, a mix of joy, fear, love and dread created a knot in her stomach again. Amy suddenly felt more morbidly awake than she had a few seconds before.
Unsure about what to do, she waited in the bed sheets nervously, like many a memory of hide and seek games Amy played in when she was young. It had always been a terrible place to hide, and hiding from Todd was useless at any rate; Amy had left the plate on the kitchen table. Sure enough, a couple minutes after her waking moment Todd had found what she had left behind.
"Hello? Amy?" He called out. Todd's voice resonated in the wooden home like a holy church. Amy received his distress loud and cle

The late autumn forests of Virginia were very dark under the canopy of trees. The exceptions were the small patches of open areas, where the bright moon was able to shine its reflected light down on the ground. All along the dirt and stone-constructed lane the moonlight cast its ghostly beam, allowing Todd to see well into the night. As far as he could tell, he was totally alone. Amy had indeed left him to ponder alone, respecting his wishes. Todd appreciated the time allotted to him; he understood he didn't leave in the best manner, but Amy must have felt his decision was more important than a simple heated argument. It was time to return the respect and clean his mind of irrationality.
There were plenty of big questions to ask.
What now? What's changed? he asked himself. In his mind, he knew the answer was that nothing had changed; he had been dating a werewolf all this time. Todd knew that Amy was a smart, loyal, and beautiful woman. She had a unique per

It had been six long months since I had become a dragon, six months since I learned about a hidden world, living right beneath everyone's noses and six months since I learned about my friend's dark secrets. We arrived an hour or so later outside a cottage, deep in the woods.
"Alright Mason, this is it. You can go back to normal life or, as normal as it can get from now on." He said with a sarcastic smile.
"Hardy har-har." I said grimly. Franklin chuckled a little bit before he headed for the cottage's door. I followed close behind. Franklin opened the door and the first thing I saw was a centaur. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"We Are heading off into the mountains tonight. If the slayers are going to start bothering us, and that is a big IF, then you need to be ready to stand up to some of their better hunters." He said bitterly.
"Okay then " I said cautiously. He looked over at me and I saw his eyes lock onto the cut the slayers blade had gouged into my arm.

"Was it a reddish samurai sword?" he asked coldly.
"Well then get ready for a nasty night. Those sword cuts burn like acid when you sleep. The poison isn't in effect now but when your blood slows your in trouble."
