Sheita Ch.10 Yellow EyesThe walk was quiet for a long while, with only a few rustles and sounds of movement. While we walked the pack talked amongst themselves. Manji and I studied each wolf in the pack, trying to figure out their personalities while we listened for sounds of danger. I looked at Hwasan first. He walked at the front of the pack, leading the way with a high head. His fur a hansom design of dark orange and black. Next to him was his mate Melody, who was chatting away to him about something while he listened intently to what she said. Nodding at the right places but his eye focused on the forest and the path ahead. Her belly was swollen enough to be noticeable but it wasn't yet big enough to mess with her stride as she walked. The fur on her back was quite appealing to the eye as the dark blue and brown shifted to a light blue then to white as it got to her paws. Her eyes were also bright against the dark blue streaks that cupped around her nose and up around her head then down to the large plotMore Like This
Sheita Ch.9 SurviveI woke the next morning with everyone standing over me in amazement. I jumped in surprise. "What?" I asked shyly. They all looked over my body and seemed more confused than I was. Then Eibuli began to speak, "You should be dead...." she placed a paw on my hip where I was stung yesterday. "That venom is more powerful than any poisonous reptile or fish on this planet. How is it that you are still alive?"More Like This
I looked up at Manji who was glowing with joy at my fine appearance.
"Maybe she is immune to it." Hwasan said from behind me.
"This doesn't even hurt you?" she asked as she pushed on the nearly healed sting hole.
"um...no it doesn't." I said concentrating on anything that might be strange feeling, but there was nothing. Everything felt perfectly fine.
"I love you so much!" Manji said snuggling up against me. I giggled and snuggled him back. Eibuli removed her paw from my hip and tried to accept the fact that I wasn't dead when she awoke this morning.
"Alright, then I guess you are
Sheita Ch.8 Denied MeatThe leader, Eibuli ran to me and inspected the wound, while Manji had me laying against his belly while he licked my face in concern. Hwasan was furious and was barking at anyone he could find for how dangerous it is for us to stay with them and that they need to have medical procedures ready for such accidents. Then suddenly a large thud hit the ground form outside the cave and everyone went quiet except for Eibuli who was still working on my wound. A loud screech called out through the stone walls. I heard the flaps of large wings and deep breaths. Whatever was outside the cave door is bigger than I had ever seen. Eibuli whispered to the group to keep quiet and stand still. She then looked up at me and said with a monotone voice, "The stinger hit your vein...I'm afraid there is nothing I can do. You will become paralyzed, then you will fall asleep, and then you will die...and when you do, we will also kill the one responsible for you death for breaking the law and attacking a guest."More Like This
Sheita Ch.7 Protective InstinctThe walk was confusing as we went under fallen trees and over large boulders, and through small dirt wholes in the mountain. Finally we pushed through some vines and arrived at a large flat rock wall. We all stood there confused as we looked at the large flat surface. The large male Sahlin went to the wall and pushed a small bush to the side to reveal a small hole in the wall that only my paw could fit in. The Sahlin put his tail through the whole and a few seconds later he backed away from the wall and watched it expectantly. I turned my ears up toward the wall and listened for movement. Manji glanced at me, waiting for me to tell him what I heard, as he lifted his ears toward the wall and listened too. A hum of voiced and pattering of paws lay just beyond the wall. One heartbeat was close enough to hear; possibly the guard. I jumped up as a loud snap rang in my ears. I flipped my ears back in pain as the rest of the pack jumped at the sudden break of silence. Then the large stone walMore Like This
Sheita Ch.6 The lost SahlinThe forest was large and thick, barely able to see what creatures lay hidden just feet from either side of you. The trees are tall and thick, no letting much sun through, and there are rustles and smells and glimpses of big yellow eyes blinking at you through the bushes and trees. We can make out the scent of the rabbits and birds but much more remain a mystery. So many things I have never smelled before. Luckily the wolves are familiar to the random scents of all the creatures, and can determine which ones to be cautious of. We have stopped and made 4 head counts since we started the journey and its only been a few hours since we left. The forest all looks the same to me. I have asked Manji if he thinks we have been going in circles, and he also is getting that suspicion. Crunch has been telling us about all the creatures in the forest including Treminoids, Hypiths, Kalaniths, Morgethires, Javias, and Sahlins. He would have told us more but he was called to the front of the pack to heMore Like This
Sheita Ch.5 Its time!Something....something is tugging on my leg...OH! Its burning! "Agh!" I jumped up and rushed to lick the swore on my leg to stop it from burning, but I stopped short. I jumped at the sight of some kind of rabbit looking creature that was as big as Kira, and had a lion-like tail, instead of a rabbit tail. She was creamy burgundy colored with cream coloring for her ears and tip of her tail. And on the tip of her ears were some creamy burgundy spots.More Like This
"What are you doing?" I half yelled in surprise. She jumped a bit at my question and then took a breath. "I am fixing your wound." She said gesturing at the green slime mixing with my bloody fur.
"It burns! Get it off!" I tried to swipe at it with my paw but the rabbit-lion creature smacked my paw away and snapped, "Dont!" Her bright green eyes grew wide with irritation and as she explained, "This will heal it fast, and kill all the bacteria. So if it burns then that means it was really infected and you could have gotten sick or even worse...
Sheita Ch.4 Guard WarningThe night was warm and the grass was soft as my eyes grew heavy I began to fall asleep. Though the guard wolf on duty tonight stared at me and Manji without blinking. I couldn't tell if he was staring at us to make sure we weren't going to kill them or if we just looked weird to him and he was trying to figure us out. He doesn't look very old. Probably just started guarding a few months ago. Maybe he is an apprentice of some other job? His fur is a dark red base with white fur highlighting various curves of his body and black toes. He is a cute little male wolf, showing promise as a strong guardian wolf when he gets a bit older.More Like This
I shut my eyes and snuggle up against Manji, who nudged me with his nose in response, then I fell asleep. It felt like 2 seconds passed before we were waken by a shrill bark of warning from the little male guard wolf. I jumped up as the rest of the pack ran in different directions trying to get a headcount and asking the guard why he barked. "I heard something
