A change of seasonsLook at all of those lifeless leaves,
More Like This
All their precious pride has been taken away,
A lost creation and a broken image of the grave,
Trembling at the wind with their own fear of being taken away.
It's almost as if the elements,
Have agreed on their deception,
And must entwine,
Their greed and derangement divine.
To surrender their faith, so fake.
To know you're to lose your battle before your birth,
To face the scorn of the earth and decay.
As an existential parasite,
Illusions as the elders fold their hands,
And cast their demeaning gaze upon you,
Like they know your soul is foul.
Their passion for their kind,
Feeding them lies,
All those naked faces,
Empty shells, crippled and caged,
Lambs of slaughter preoccupied in their own disgust.
