Skyler Dustpaw's home solar system, now in a simplistic map for all to see! It outlines the key points of interest, and yes, only 6 planets! Here's a quick overview of them, in order.
1) Risaro - A very hot planet, similar to mercury. However, despite the extreme temperatures, there is a mining operation there for important resources. Most of which are sent to the MSF in the manufacturing of ships.
2) Tellaron - Not much to see here. This desert planet is rather barren and has no sign of life. A few lizards and snakes, but nothing to write home about. Research is underway to see if there is in fact a water source on the planet.
3) Ketra/Ataxia - Ketra is a strange place to be. It contains the mineral Corosite, which is mostly used in the construction of fuel crystals for starship engines. However, when the separatists took over, they renamed the planet Ataxia, which is Marcelonian for the word "Separate" As they are indeed separatists from the High Council.
4) Marcelon - The core of the system and hub for all intergalactic activity. on this planet, one will find majestic mountains, lush forests, deep blue oceans, and peace and equality for all. This planet holds the aptly named "Shining City" which serves as the planet's capital and Council.
SS3 - StarStation 3 is an orbital station that serves as a military outpost and security headquarters for Marcelon, as well as a spaceport and the dock for most starships.
5) Aqualie - The homeworld of the Aqualics (See "Aqualic" species bio for more information on their world and themselves)
6) Bannon - A gas planet. No solid surface at all, similar to Jupiter or Saturn. Common gasses are helium and nitrogen.
Who would of guessed that a generic 25-cent 1/64 scale bus could be so much fun, eh? It was a last-minute impulse buy along with some bubblegum with change I had left over from buying various things for my PC at the indoor flea market. It was just there on the counter and I nabbed it, without realizing that it had a switch-activated function that activated some /really/ crap sound effect of a bus starting and idling. It sounded like someone put a chainsaw against steel and tried to cut it. Ugh.
So I had some extra LEDs lying around, clipped the speaker out, wired in a small resistor and connected the LEDs to give it some really bright headlamps (As seen in photo 1 and 2) But then said "Wait, what if instead of just two dots of light, I wired it up so it illuminates the inside of the bus?" So I extended the lengths of my wires and modified the plastic interior. Moved the lights inside the body, and BOOM. Instant light, and these two little bulbs are SUPER bright, powered by 3 button cell batteries. The camera I use does no justice on how bright this thing is, and it's a super cool little thing and I have invested into it just 25 cents and a little time.
Just a little something for you all. You all have meant the world to me, so I hastily just threw this together, to represent all of you, as all those colors coming forth to lend your energies to me whenever I needed help the most. You all rock and are the best friends I could ask for, and without you all, I wouldn't have found a reason to make it through what is perhaps the darkest times of my life. And for that, you have my eternal gratitude.
Commission that Grisser did of my character Angelion. After 6 years of following this talented artist I finally had the opportunity to commission him and I couldn't be happier with the result. It's wonderful.
There plenty of aspects I had to look at. The hardest was to decide on a full mane or just normal hair. I tried the mane, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
Clothes wise I always liked the simple idea of the white button shirt over a black tank-top with black jeans. Keep its simple as I always say."
Weapons: Im a sword fiend, therefore its fitting that my fursona must be able to handle a Japanese Samurai sword. There was also the thought of using tarot cards as a form mystic magic, but Im still undecided on that.
The cross makes another return, which i think will be a trademark of my fursona for some time now. The lighting effects were added at the last minute.
All and all, Im pleased with it! Right on time for my Birthday!
I only realize now that the colouring on his leg is oh so wrong! >_<
Hey guys! As you might remember, many years ago I designed some cat eared headphones in which the cat ears work as functional speakers for sharing music with your friends. And of course the speakers can be turned off for private listening too. The designs received a lot of public support but I lacked the time and resources back then to turn them into a reality. However, I’m happy to announce that we are very close to making these headphones come to life.
My friends and I have been working very hard over the past year in preparation. We’ve found the factory, went through countless negotiations, worked on refining the design, and now we’re just need the funding.
We’ll be releasing more drawings and details as we get closer to opening our Kickstarter crowd funding campaign, so keep your eyes open!
In other news, I'll be at Fanime Con this May 23 - 26th, 2014, at the San Jose McEnery Convention center in California. As usual, I'll be in the artist alley at table 1213 come by and say hi! And thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes! <3
A quick tut of "Celestial Dragon", as I suggested in the full images. [link]
It was kinda thrown together but I think you can get an idea of what I was trying to say. I don't really do these tutorials, so bear with me. I thought I just share what I learned from this guy. I have/do apply the armature techniques to my sculptures. I only once did the stick figure frame, that was Norse [link] , he was originally was out stretched as if leaping. As you see, he sagged considerably under his own weight... he also took 2 packs of Sculpey. A little more wire saved me 1-3/4 packs of Sculpey... just saying
The CATerpillar was first discovered in 1976 in the african jungle. These extraordinary creatures eat flowers, smaller beetles, mice, honey and also vegetables and fruits. Through smuggling the CATerpillar found its ways finally to America, where it is seen after thunderstorms, eating the goodies of the farmers gardens. Domesticated, the CATerpillars are great pets, but should not share a household with more then one more CATerpillar, because of rival fights!
CATerpillars lay their eggs under branches of bushy trees, where the KITTENpillars hatch out after 2 weeks. There is no visible difference between male or female CATerpillars.
*edit* I'm sorry about the typos, contest this was for ended today and I am potty training a puppy and a 2 year old sooo... yeah. lol a couple typos
WOW what a lot of work I did this weekend lol Combined the doll and tutorial took me about 18 hours. I know a lot of doll artists aren't going to appreciate this tutorial because as a whole we're very tight lipped about methods. Considering we're all thriving in an art community, I feel this is a bit closed minded. Also these are so complicated that the idea that someone with no experience in all of the many different aspects of art you have to master to complete one single doll is going to come along and start pumping out high quality business stealing pieces is a bit laughable. That being said, I am ALWAYS happy to "talk shop" with peers or answer questions from beginners. We all start somewhere, lets make sure it's on the right foot! This doll is available for purchase, I am considering trying ebay again since everyone can see the amount of work it really takes to build these majestic creatures.

Shadow was gonna be in the picture, but I accidently didn't put the bottom half of his tunic on the template and so I'm gonna have to print him again later, but have the other Links for now! (Shadow I didn't forget you there was just a mishap I'm sorry! )
A motivational poster based on my Majora's Mask model, wondering how all those powerful Jedi could be destroyed by just one man, even if that man was Darth Vader: he must have had a powerful, secret weapon...
(My first cathphrase was:
"CHEATING" "No fair: one mask per evil Sith Lord only!"
It's still ongoing and being updated, so I was spending the majority of the night checking threads and whatnot, and as it got later and stuff happened, I realized that I would TOTALLY be seeing all that creepy shit in my dreams. Elegy of Emptiness statue. Do not want.
So I figure, why not counter it by watching some Kamen Rider before bed? That should counteract it.
At least, I hope it doesn't pan out as I predict it will.
A dark joke I drew years ago involving Animal Crossing: the unlikely coming of Skull Kid from Majora's Mask to AC's setting. Its dramatical consequences seemed a funny, althought pretty banal, contrast to the game's cheery mood. The composition clearly reprises that of the GameCube cover.
I don't have anything against this much-loved franchise, just for the record! Maybe its gameplay is not suited for me (as I verifyied by playing it: I found it new at half price and I decided to give it a try, just to end up reselling it after a short time) due to my allergy to games centered on collecting, but I sincerely appreciate its light and quirky spirit.
One of my favorite hobby's is to troll on the internet. I try my best to maintain a professional image, especially in public situations, like a show or a convention.
When I'm at home, I like to post annonymously or under various other handles, and just troll the hell out of places. Like, I'll usually cause/enter arguments that I have no idea what I'm talking about, just to get people to start fighting over it. It's sick, and a waste of time, but I love doing it, to the point of compulsion.
So next time you're on your favorite forum, and you're arguing with someone who just doesn't seem to get it, or for some reason won't drop the subject, be careful:
Someone recently commissioned me to msake something out of minky. Now I've never used minky before so I thought it was probably a good idea to practise a little, so I made Hoothoot. He's come out pretty well so I think I can nail this commission now.
I apologize to non-Pokemon fans again for spamming you with these! I've just been exhausted, so I haven't been working on more challenging things, but still, I wanted to work on SOMETHING to keep sane. And sorry to those who might have wanted a pattern for this one.. I was too tired to take notes (the tail was too complex anyway) and just wanted a mental break. He's pretty similar to my Squirtle pattern anyway
Edit: was kind enough to share her Wartortle tail and ear pattern here!
A macro shot of a tiny teapot of mine, and some playing cards. If you couldn't tell, I'm more than a little obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. I couldn't be happier with my new Canon Rebel, and look forward to many, many more pictures with it in the future!
