I looked at her,
Those thoughts in her head.
"Bob." I spat, anger in my voice,
"Sorry, Boss. She made the wrong choice,"
I glared at the skull, cursing my luck,
The toad demon waited, not giving a-
My thoughts trailed off as she kissed me deeply,
"This isn't a good time..." But she didn't hear me.
She tried lowering us down to the floor.
"Bad idea." I said as I struggled more.
The circle of protection was the only thing
Standing between us and that hideous being.
It paced, waiting for the ring to be broken,
Susan continued like I hadn't spoken.
"Bob!" I growled at the air spirit once more.
"That circle will break if you're dragged to the floor."
"No kidding." I spat, through clenched teeth in annoyance.
"We need to escape before this gets any worse."
Bob tossed the escape potion over to me.
I gave some to Susan, and drank the rest gladly.
Like wind, we traveled away from my sub-basement.
